For admission to MBA (or PGP) 2024 batch at IIM Rohtak, the CAT test will be conducted on November 26, 2023. Aspirants of IIM Rohtak are required to appear for the exam in Computer Based Testing mode at the allotted test centres. CAT exam 2023 will be held in three slots:

Morning slot: 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM

Afternoon slot: 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM

Evening slot: 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM

Earlier, the CAT exam used to be of 180 minutes with 100 questions but in 2020, both exam duration and number of questions were reduced due to COVID-19 pandemic. Now, starting CAT 2022, the total number of questions stands at 66 as part of CAT pattern.

IPMAT and IPM Aptitude Test (IIM Rohtak) have similar syllabus but the difficulty level is different. Both exams have Quantitative Aptitude and Verbal Ability sections. However, IIM Rohtak's IPMAT exam has an additional section- Logical Reasoning. While IPM Aptitude Test is an easy exam, IIM Indore's IPMAT is moderately tough but to say which is better totally depends upon the college a candidate is targeting for the five-year integrated programme. The participating colleges for both exams are different. If a candidate's dream college accepts IPMAT score, then they should appear for IPMAT exam. The IPMAT exam conducted by IIM Indore is accepted by other institutes such as IIFT, IIM Ranchi, Nirma University,  Alliance University,  NICMAR University,  Department of Management Studies and NALSAR University of Law. The benefit of IPMAT by IIM Indore is that the exam is accepted by multiple top management insitutes in country, whereas the one conducted by IIM Rohtak is only accepted by IIM Rohtak. 

IIM Rohtak accepts CAT scores for admission to the MBA/ PGDM courses. IIMs, however, do not release CAT cutoffs in the public domain and are exclusively accessible only via account login to candidates who have appeared for the exam. IIM Rohtak has released the aggregate percentile scores in the CAT 2023 for admission. Yes, candidates who receive the offer letter have to accept the offer and submit an acceptance amount (OAA) of INR 1,000 through the online payment portal. Further, a confirmation letter will be only give to students who submit the amount successfully within the stipulated timeline. Then the selected candidates can proceed further by paying the first installment of the course fee. 

IIM Rohtak offers a course of BBA+MBA, which is named as Integrated Programme in Management (IPM). This is a combined degree of UG & PG courses in the stream of Management. Candidates can enroll for this course after completing Class 12. 

This dual degree course runs over a period of five years. Every year is divided into three terms, each of approximately 3 months duration. The entire programme is divided into two parts; the first part focuses on the foundation courses, whereas the second part focuses on management. At the end of every year, students get internship opportunities for the practical learning.

IIM Rohtak will conduct the IPM AT 2024 counselling for admission to the five-year integrated course. Talking about IPMAT cutoff 2023 for the General category student, the cutoff score stood at 409. Considering this, candidates belonging to the General category students can not get into IIM Rohtak with a score of 240. 

The last year IPM AT cutoff for ST and SC ctaegories student stooad at 201 and 274, respectively. So, if a candidates belongs to these two categories can get admission at IIM Rohtak. 

Meanwhile, IPM Aptitude Test 2024 exam will be conducted on May 18, 2024. 

No, XAT is not required for admission to IIM Rohtak. IIM Rohtak only acceots CAT exam percentile for MBA admissions. IIM Rohtak CAT Cutoff 2024 has not yet been released. For admission to MBA course at IIM Rohtak, candidates must get a UG degree in any stream from a recognised university. Yes, the admission to the IIM Rohtak IPL or BBA-LLB course is based on CLAT (Common Law Admission Test) exam. The college invites students for PI on the basis of post academics and CLAT score. Futher, candidates who do not qualify or appear for CLAT can also appear for IPM Aptitude Test (AT), which is conducted in four sections (Quantitative Ability, Logical Reasoning, Verbal Ability, and Legal Reasoning) at the institute.

The highest stipend offered to the MBA batch 2022-24 batch was INR 2.50 lakh. The institute has not disclosed for how many months the stipend amount is valid. Additionally, the average stipend and median stipend stood at INR 99,100 and INR 80,000, respectively. Further, the stipend recorded for the top 10% and top 25% of the batch was INR 1.87 lakh and INR 1.65 lakh, respectively

Candidates with a Bachelor's degree with at least 50% aggregate or equivalent overall grade point average in any discipline can apply for the EPGDSM course at IIM Rohtak. Additionally, applicants with some work experience in the relevant field are given preference. At the time of form filling and admission, candidates shall have the important documents such as bachelor's degree mark sheets, photo identity proof, etc. or else candidates are considered ineligible.

IIM Rohtak offers Certificate programmes of short duration ranging from three to five months. These certificate programmes are offered in the streams of Business & Management Studies and IT & Software. Some of the specialisations in which the course is available are HR Analytics, Project Management, Small Business Management, Data Analytics, etc. These coruses are offered in blend of online and campus visits. Further, it's mandatory for candidates to complete minimum of 70% attendance in the entire course duration.

IIM Rohtak follows the trimester pattern for its MBA programme. During the entire duration of the programme, students are required to study various management related subjects. IIM Rohtak MBA syllabus is divided into six semesters distributed evenly over the course of two years. At the end of the first year, students are also required to go for the summer Internship programme.

 In the first stage, all the applications are screened and evaluated. The shortlisted candidates are then invited for the interview round, and the final offers are made.

The answer to this question of whether an average student can get into IIM can be both yes and no depending on the definition of an average student.

• Based on Academics (Class 10/ Class 12/ Graduation): While a student with average scores in Class 10, Class 12 and graduation with a good CAT score certainly has good chances of getting a call from IIM-A, chances are less for someone with an average CAT score.
• Based on student category (General or Reserved): While it is tough for a General category average student to grab a seat at IIM due to high score requirements, a reserved category student can get admission being at average scores as well.
• Based on past work experience, diversity and other factors: Gender and academic diversity is also a factor on which students are shortlisted at IIM. IIMs judge the past academic category based on the degree obtained by the students before MBA and then a weightage is allotted based on that. For Engineers, the percentage for scoring the highest marks is higher as compared with other streams
• Performance in selection rounds: Once you make it to the final selection rounds, i.e., AWT/PI process, it can be considered a fresh start. At this stage, students can forget their past average-ness but definitely require good grasp over the past subjects as academics-related questions are asked in the interview.

Based on the above factors, it can be considered that while getting into top Management institutes, such as IIM is extremely tough, the past performance, CAT performance, student category and a lot of factors can be the reasons for a student to receive that final call.

IIM has 2 courses to offer after Class 12. A 5 year integrated MBA and five year law programme ( new course). Candidates with required eilligibilty has to appear for IIP aptitude test followed by an interview. Final selection is based on apptiute test, 12th marks, and interview scores. IIM Rohtak has recently introduced a 5 year course on law after Class 12.
