Campus has good infrastructure and food but placements are absolutely bad.

Placements: I would say placements are quite poor here. Only students with the highest CPI get placed or are offered internships. As of placements, one might probably regret joining here. Last year, only 30% of students were placed while some opted for higher studies, whereas others were left without any option.

Campus life at IIT Dharwad.

Placements: Around 75–80% of students were placed; the highest package offered was 55 LPA, which was offcampus. The highest on-campus package offered was 40 LPA, with an average package of around 12–14 LPA. The major recruiting companies were CRED, Google, Intel and Wipro. Many of the remaining students go for higher studies. The placements are pretty much on a decent level and are getting better year after year. As it's a new IIT, it will require some time to get at par with the level of holder IITs in ter...

Not satisfied with the current state but image build-up will take time.

Placements: About 20 percent of the batch is getting placed. As this is a new IIT, it will take time to make an impactful image among recruiters like old IITs. Top recruiting companies are CRED and HCL. In terms of opportunities, you cannot expect much as the reason is the same; it is a new IIT.

The college provides excellent infrastructure and faculty.

Placements: Since the college is newly opened There are fewer internships and placements offered. Last year, nearly 50% of students placed in different companies like Google, TCS, etc. The highest package offered in electrical engineering is 54 LPA. The ECE branch was started this year.

Not satisfied with the mess, but satisfied with the faculty.

Placements: The placement rate has shown a steady increase, with many students receiving multiple offers. The average salary package trends to be competitive, reflecting the institute's academic rigor. Approximately about 70 percent of students are placed this year. The highest package is around 60 LPA.

Absolutely dissatisfied with the college .

Placements: 80% The lowest is around 4-5 LPA, and the highest is around 9-10 LPA only. Mercedes-Benz, TATA, IBM 5% in tech companies, core companies don't usually give internships here; only tech companies come here in our college. Project engineer, Research and development.

Our college got good placements, but slightly dissatisfied with the mess.

Placements: For CSE, the placements are a lot better than other branches. The highest package is 52 LPA, the lowest package is 8 LPA, and the average package is 12 LPA. The top recruiting companies for my course are Google, Amazon, etc. The top roles offered in my course are data analyst, etc.

The highest package is good, which is around 50 LPA, the lowest is 5 LPA, and the average package is 11 LPA. The top recruiting companies are HCL, Amazon, etc. The top role offered in my course is VLSI Designing.

Review of B.Tech in Mathematics and Computing in IIT DHARWAD.

Placements: Placements are like, good when compared to other colleges but are like, kind of average when compared to top IITs and NITs. As the placement record of math and computing is not available, the first batch would pass out in 2025, but as the curriculum is the same as CSE, you may expect the same median and average packages of it. Companies would be like technical ones and the additional finance companies.

Bad food, normal placements, medium faculty, and good environment.

Placements: There is a 52% placement rate, with the highest package off-campus reaching 70 LPA and an average of 16 LPA. About 20% of students secure internships, mainly with companies like Google, Paytm, Amazon, and others, in roles such as software engineering. Since this is a newer college, expecting strong placements and internships on-campus is challenging, but off-campus opportunities tend to be better than those offered on-campus.

I am fully satisfied with the faculty and staff. Really good infrastructure and facilities.

Placements: My branch was previously in CSE department so about 75% of students were placed. The highest package is approximately 75 lakhs. The top recruiters are Google, Amazon, Groww, Infosys, Paytm and many more. About 87% of students get internship in my course at M&C. Finance and consulting, machine learning, group analysis., etc. are the top roles offered.

Placements are satisfying for CSE students.

Placements: Approximately 80 percent of students are placed. The highest package was 55 lakh from CSE. Top recruiting companies like Google, Flipkart came for the CSE course. I don't know anything about internships and roles, but various workshops are conducted in the college.

A new IIT but completely worth it for ranks over 12k.

Placements: BTech in the chemical and biochemical engineering branch was introduced in the year 2022 and hence the first batch will sit for the placements in the year 2026. So as of now there is no data available for the placements of this particular branch , while in the last year the highest package for the CS branch was 52 LPA offered by Cred. A few of the top recruiters are Bharat Petroleum, MathWorks , Cred, Infosys, TCS, Microsoft and many more.

The highest package is around 34 LPA, and the average package is around 14.5 LPA. Beautiful campus and net zero wastage.

Placements: Around 70-80% of students were placed. The attendance requirement was very strict at 80%, but the campus was beautiful. There were internships available, with some people receiving offers of 40 lakhs per annum from companies like NVIDIA and Microsoft.

Really good infrastructure and facilities.

Placements: I think nearly half students registered for the course are placed. It's even less than a half. Some people went for higher studies. Still the placement drive is going on. Highest is around 50 LPA. Yeah top companies like Google, Amazon, Microsoft, Meta do come for recruitment. Moreover degree doesn't matter, all that matters are skills which you can acquire through hands on and is good at IITs.

Placements: I'm from the ECE branch. The placements are not bad. The placement percentage is about 80% in electrical engineering. The median package is quite good, and it's about 18 lakh per annum. There are very few who went for internships last year from the electrical engineering batch.

Placements: The placement is okay for mechanical engineering students. The highest package is 19 LPA, while the lowest is 6 LPA. Internships are mostly offered for EE and CSE students, with a few available for mechanical as well. If you're aiming for the research field, this college is a good option.

Top recruiters are Texas Instruments, UiPath, Amazon, Google, D.E. Shaw, etc. Many of these are off-campus opportunities. Top roles offered are Software Developer, Backend Developer, Applied Scientist, etc.
