Q:   What is the selection process for the M.Tech programme at IIT Hyderabad?

    A:

Candidates will go through a preliminary shortlisting procedure based on their academic history and GATE score in order to be admitted to the programme. A candidate may be required to take a written exam and/or an interview if they satisfy the cutoff for shortlisting. The number of applications received will determine whether or not a test or interview is required, and candidates will be informed as such. It should be emphasised that the department retains the authority to set a shortlisting cutoff for M.Tech applications and may decide not to accept any candidates if none are thought to be eligible. Satisfied with the placements.
Placements: Campus placements are really good here if your have enough skills then you can easily get placed with good package. Placements are 100% because more than enough companies visits our campus and one student get two-two job offers. The highest and the lowest package pf college depends om the branch but I can say that the highest package is 50 Lacs CTC and the lowest is 15-16 Lacs CTC.
Infrastructure: Campus life is also best. Its very free and beautiful environment here. Hostel buildings are also advanced with internet facilities in it. In summer hostel have radio cooling facility here. Before a year ago mess was changed there and this mess is providing non veg as well as veg food.
Faculty: Faculty members are very experienced as they have their own achievements in numbers. They also work with many companies and they all are also IITians. Semester is divided into three parts each parts ends with a exam. Course curriculum is well managed as students can manage their academics and as well as extra curricular activities.
Other: Two big events at the college named as evan vision and elan are the most enjoyable events.

The campus is really good to learn everything.
Placements: This is my first year here, and I have known a good number of my seniors who got placed this year. So, I can say that the placements are not bad. But you have to work and enhance your skills to get placed. I am a chemical engineering student, but I didn't find many core chemical companies here. IT companies are very good in number for recruitment. There are a lot of internship opportunities. Roles offered are also good.
Infrastructure: The hostel blocks and academic buildings are the best in our country. The facilities are really good. The classrooms and labs look really nice. Everywhere on campus, you can access Wi-Fi. But it is not that speed. Sports grounds are really good for cricket, hockey, and football. But for indoor sports, the courts are very limited. Construction is going on. In coming years, I can say that this campus will be one of the best to play all the sports.
Faculty: The way faculty members teach and the method they follow are really good. Not all, but I have seen many teachers who are good. The faculty members are very knowledgeable and helpful too. The courses are very relevant and make you gain enough knowledge of industrial works. It is also not that easy to score grades here. You need to work and learn.
Other: I have not attended any fests till now. But you will have inter-department leagues and institute leagues. The inter-hostel games are also conducted. If you are a sports enthusiast, you should visit this campus. It is worth it with all the facilities. The crowd is very low, in my view, with respect to a graduation college. I did my graduation in chemical engineering. So, to continue with that, I took the same course in my PG.

Review of Indian Institute of Technology, Hyderabad.
Placements: You can enroll directly from M.Tech to PhD. Many job roles are offered after completing M.Tech. Our course is provided by outside like Japan professors, and our course is good. JICA scholarship is there for collaborating from this institute to do PhD in the Japanese universities.
Infrastructure: Our hostel is accommodated with a single room for each student, and they are equipped with free Wi-Fi. The food served in a mess is awesome. It also provides a washing machine.
Faculty: Faculty members teaching quality is good. They are well-qualified, helpful, and knowledgeable. They are friendly. The course curriculum is relevant, and it makes the students industry-ready. Semester exams are moderate in the college. The pass percentage is 82%.
Other: Our batch was very good, and the course that I studied was material science and metallurgical engineering. I have chosen this course because our course was very interesting and I like metals and science in Chemistry. A special scholarship will be given to each student of Rs. 12,500 per month. College life is good and memorable.

One of the Best Institute for CSE people.
Placements: CSE Department Placement is Excellent. All M.Tech guys placed in first 2 days. M.Tech RA avg. package is more than 22LPA. In 2019 Microsoft In. Recruited 17 Students for 43LPA and Qualquamm Adobe Oracle all these companies take part in day 0 placements. Most of the B.Tech CSE Students gets ppo after Internship from Samsung IBM Labs and other MNC's.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is not that good. Limited Hostel facility. Wi-Fi Labs Classrooms these academic related things are as per IIT standard. Optical Fiber network, 24/7 Wi-Fi. Highly equipped Labs. Canteen is not as per your expectations. It may be because of New and Outer location of Campus.
Faculty: When it comes to the Academic activities. You will feel like an IITian. The cutting edge research. Industrial projects highly qualified professor. Well build course curriculum. The focus is more on practical knowledge. One will feel like, yes He's gaining some knowledge here.
Other: I'm doing M.Tech RA (3-year) programme. This programme is meant for some research. Where I will get my stipend amount from an Industry and with course work I have to put some time on their projects. It's very beneficial because we get enough time to finish same course work in 3 year which other needs to complete in 2 year. With some industry research experience.

Review of IIT Hyderabad - Indian Institute of Technology (IITH).
Placements: Placements scenarios are awesome here as students have the freedom to choose our interest and gain excellence in that. It helps in our overall growth. Top recruiting companies like Google, Microsoft, Goldman Sachs, Flipkart, SAMSUNG R&D, many startups, Amazon visited the campus and offered a decent salary package.
Infrastructure: First-class facilities in the gym, sports, library, labs, medical, Wi-Fi, hair salon are available inside the campus. A mess is good, but after some time you will get bored by the same menu. For first-year students, they provide p-block hostels due to lack of rooms, and from the second year onwards they provide the main hostel, and they are pretty awesome. They are made on Japenese architecture guidelines these hostel buildings have radiant cooling which not let the room get hot during summer. They provide a washing machine to wash clothes, canteen facility, and a grocery shop. Nescafe and a special one Shiru Cafe is run by Japenese students doing an internship here.
Faculty: Teachers are professional, polite, and very helpful. In course electives, students have the freedom to choose and have meaningful assignments which are very helpful for a clear understanding of the subject. Students future is bright here if they are willing to take up challenges.

Good infrastructure unique approach towards study.
Placements: Placement is average, atleast 60-70% students in my stream get placed from on campus and off campus. Maximum package offered is around 9.75 LPA, minimum package offered is 6lpa. Mostly companies visited on campus is software based companies. My branch is mechanical and my M.Tech specialisation is Thermo-fluid engineering. So companies visited related to my stream are Maruti, ITON, GENERAL ELECTRICALS, VOLVO, TATA ADVANCE MANUFACTURING, ARUP, SIEMENS GAMESA, TCS. For internship I don't have detailed idea because M.Tech people have less time so they focus only on their course work and thesis. Yes there is Placement Cell in my college. And according to my opinion it is good and working efficiently.
Infrastructure: Actually IIT Hyderabad is new IIT. So presently it is under construction. But this IIT has most modern and future adaptive infrastructure in India. It provides best hostel building which has radiant cooling system in each room and it also provide single room to each student irrespective of course year. Academic buildings of IIT Hyderabad is quite innovative and unique. Till now there are three academic buildings one is for Mechanical which has IC engine shape and other one is for civil in which 75% building is made up of 2500 ton steel. Labs and classrooms are standard.
Faculty: Faculty members in my stream are not upto the mark, there is lot of scope of improvement, course curriculum is quite unique. It's course curriculum is According to demand of industry and research purposes. They focus on more coding part rather than traditional experimental work. Teachers are helpful.
