Completely satisfied with college placements, infrastructure and culture.

Placements: Placements in our college are excellent. There are lots of job and internship opportunities for students. CSE branch placement this year was 100%. The highest package was 1.39 crores per annum. Average package was around 25 LPA. Google, Facebook, Microsoft, and many good companies like them are our major recruiters.

It is one of the best institutes in India.

Placements: Placements in our college are average. The highest salary package offered was 30 LPA. The lowest salary package offered was 6 LPA. The salary packages offered are based on CPI, projects, internships, POR (position of responsibility), of the student and also on their performance in the interview. Mainly, the students pursuing Economics got placed with the analyst profile.

IIT Kanpur is one of the best engineering colleges in India.

Placements: Placements for our department as well as the overall batch were better than the previous years. The highest salary package was offered in crores to a CSE department student. The lowest salary package offered was around 5.5 LPA. The average salary package offered is around 10LPA. Mostly noncore companies with coding profile visit the campus for placements. Good companies like Google, Microsoft, Deutsche Bank, Goldmann Sachs, etc., visit the campus for placements. Mostly coding is required from al...

The life at IIT Kanpur was the best time of my life.

Placements: Three out of ten got placed in campus placements, this number might sound meagre for you but this is at par with the condition of HWRE in other IITs. Two of the remaining got placed in HPCL and IOCL through GATE. The highest salary offered is 12 LPA and the lowest is 7.85 LPA. There were more than 700 companies that visited the campus, majority of them were also open to M.Tech and nearly more than 150 companies had the scenario of WALK-IN, so it is impossible to enlist them all. Placements: There were 90% of final placements for our batch. Average salary package offered was around 12 LPA, and the highest salary package offered was 1.5 crore per annum, and the lowest salary package offered was 6 LPA. Multiple companies visit the campus for almost all types of streams. But mostly, IT companies visit the campus for placements. Reputed companies like Microsoft, FB, LinkedIn and HUL also visit the campus for placements.

Review of Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur.

Placements: Around 70-78% of the students got placed out of the total students who appeared for placements in 2017 placements. The college has recorded the highest placements that year. Students were placed in consultancy, core jobs, finance and other profiles in companies like HSBC, ITC, Blackrock, EXL etc.

The infrastructure of our college is good.

Placements: Placements exceeded the expectations of the students. Around 200 students got placed on day 1, which saw the participation of over 30 companies. Placements in our college were better than the last year. Studies from 5-year programme (B.Tech +M.Tech) were preferred over B.Tech students.

IIT, Kanpur is the best college to experience very good sports facilities and amazing clubs.

Placements: Among all IITs, our IIT Kanpur had the highest number of placements this year. Companies were very pleased with the arrangements which were done in our hostel rooms. Around 87% of the students were placed this year which was higher than that of IIT Bombay, which provided 85% placements. Companies like Microsoft, Flipkart, Amazon, etc., and many banks visited our college and recruited students.

The campus life at IIKT was good.

Placements: During our tenure, the PM has introduced demonitisation, so very few companies visited our college for placements. But placements were good for our juniors. My friend who was working for Rs. 6.30 LPA got a placement with 13 LPA package in Jio. Overall, I'll recommend everyone to opt for IIKT. The average salary package offered was 11.50 LPA.

Placements: As it's an IIT, the placements here are quite good. Stats of every year show that almost 80% of the students get placed. This year, the highest salary package offered in off-campus placements was 1.2 crores per annum, and it was 70 lacs per annum in on-campus placements. The average salary package offered was around 12 lacs per annum. Placements: Around 83% of the students were placed in phase 1, and around 87% of the students were placed last year. The highest salary package offered is around 72 LPA. This year, companies like Graviton Research from the algorithmic trading sector and a company named Quadeye have offered a salary package of 55 LPA. The median salary package offered is around 10 LPA. Every year, around 300 students get internships. However, the final placement records were better than the internship records.

Everything is good here except for core placements and teaching methods of some teachers.

Placements: Placements for the aerospace department are on the lower side if you are looking to get placed in core aerospace companies. Even those core companies don't hire students with a bachelor's degree. So mostly B.Tech students convert their programme to a dual degree course and go for placements with M.Tech degrees. Airbus, Eaton, and Mercedes are some of the core companies that recruit the students of this college. Apart from that, a large portion of students get placed in non-core companies that of...

Placements: The placements were improved during my batch. Apart from companies like Microsoft, Google, etc., many start-ups, finance and consulting companies also visited the campus. Many students opted for postgraduation, so the average placement percentage keeps fluctuating from year to year.

Placements: Nearly everyone gets placed if he/she opts for the placements, otherwise, many go for higher studies. Specialisation is always a plus point to students. Companies like General Electric, Airbus, Mitsubishi, Honeywell, etc., hire the students. The average salary packages offered to placed students are quite satisfactory.

Good Infrastructure and Academics.

Placements: Placement are good in IIT Kanpur and are best in India. Students can choose between various types of sectors from core to non-core. Although there are few companies in core but non-core sector provide good jobs with variety in analytics, finance and consultancy with good packages. Getting internship in core civil is quite tough but it is fairly good in non-core areas. Placement cell work well in bringing companies and training students for internship and placement sessions.
