IIT Kanpur Reviews on Placements, Faculty & Facilities ,

Placements: The placement in IIT Kanpur is done in 2 phases. In the first phase placement, more than 70% of the students were placed, which is the best among all IITs. The average package varies from department to department and from person to person. In my department (economics), 87% of the students got placed.

Placements: This year 85% of the students got placed during campus selection. Moreover, each year at least 80% of students get placed. The students who are not placed are most likely to go for further studies, and they are not interested in doing jobs. Basically or overall the student placement is satisfactory.

Placements: There are a lot of placements in our batch, and our college invites more companies for the placements. First of all, in the pre-final year, all the students will attend the interviews. Therefore, all the opportunities are more helpful for all the students. The companies offer every student a chance to attend the placement drive.

Placements: The placements are the first thing anyone worries about while choosing a college, but you should not. Placements at IIT Kanpur go as high as 1.5-2 crores, but you should bear in mind that these packages are bagged by a select few and don't represent the average. Placements: The placements for civil department are average compared to other branches. The placements are high compared to the other colleges. But if we talk about internships, there are not many opportunities for civil engineering student even in non-core companies.

Placements: IIT Kanpur witnessed a placement record this year, 88% of the eligible students got placed this year in the first round. Intel picked a bunch of almost sixty students. Some of the electrical students were pre-placed in Samsung, Korea.

Placements: Almost all the students of my branch are placed. The highest package was 1.39 crores per annum, and the average package was 25 lacs per annum for my branch. Google, Facebook, Microsoft were the main attractions of placement. Almost 90 percent of the students were placed last year. The placements are very good in IITK.

Placements: The Indian Institute of Technology has a remarkable placement record in all branches. In economics particularly, the placement percentage is high (93%). Almost everyone got placed in good companies. They got placements in companies like EXL, Capital One, etc. The MS students even get more jobs. The students go to different areas.

Placements: The placement session in IIT, Kanpur 2017 was good. About, 75% of the total applicants got placed. MSE students got good opportunities in core and non-core fields. Some of them decided for the higher studies in abroad. The materials science is a good research field with lots of good future.

Placements: Placements were pretty good. Around 60% to 70% were placed during my batch. Most of the students got internships and job offers through placements cell. The average salary offered was 7 LPA, and for the internship, it will be around Rs. 20,000 per month. Most of the industry giants and upcoming startups come to our college for hiring students in any department like ITC, Google, Microsoft, Opera, Amazon, Oracle, Deutsch Bank, etc.

Placements: At least 80% every year the placement opportunity starts for every batch. While for some years the placement reaches to around 95% with a selection of around each individual seating in the placement session. The highest salary offered was around 1.48 cores. The lowest offered is around 7 lakhs per annum. The percent of internship offered around 70%.

Placements: Placements are good compared to state colleges, NITs and other (newer IITs), while it is kind of average compared to other top IITs. Most of the companies visiting here are software, coding-based and the majority of the rest belong to consultancy, analyst, finance groups, etc. Only a few core companies visit the company especially for branches like material science, civil engineering, aerospace engineering, etc. The placement cell people are working very hard to make it better in coming years. ...

Placements: The placements are excellent. The college provides a placement cell SPU which has students representatives of all departments and the staff from the college. These contact the interested companies and firms to invite them to the college for placements. The placement statistics show close to 100 percent placement. Highest package offered - 24 LPA. Average package offered - 10 LPA. Minimum package offered - 6 LPA.

Placements: I am not placed as I am still studying right now, but it has a very good placement and we will be applying for placements. I hope I will get placed with a good package. Normally, IITK offers a good placement offer for its student. Students are hardworking and extracurricular activities are held to a large extent.

Placements: We are having a good response by our seniors in terms of placements. It is not that much easy as you have to do a lot of hard work and preparation to clear different stages. If you want placements in the private sector, do a lot of competitive coding and develop skills on how to talk and react on a particular question.

Placements: About 70% of the placement was recorded in 2016. The average salary was about 10-11 lakhs per annum. However, average in CSE was about 18 lakhs per annum, and in EEE was 16 lakhs per annum. The companies visiting the campus include Microsoft, Dr.Reddy's, Schlumberger, Reckitt Benckiser, Futures First, JSW, Axis Bank, Wipro, EXL services, etc. For internships, the stats were about 50% with stipends offered from Rs. 10,000 to Rs. 2,00,000. Same companies came for internships and placements.

Placements: I secured a pre-placement offer in Deutsche Bank & also an offer to join as a social media co-ordinator at ZEE Media. The placement offers are superb if you are deserving. Everyone gets placed if they want to. The highest packages may go up to 2 crores per annum & the average is around 15 lacs. All leading companies come for placements from Google, Facebook, Microsoft, Tesla to Indian giants like ITC, HUL, etc. All get internships if they desire to.

Placements: Placement for this course is almost zero percent since no company come for placements. But for other courses, there is a good placement and student from this course also can apply for placements through other courses. The average package goes up to 10-15 lakhs.
