Yes, IIT Palakkad offers a two-year MTech programme in six specialisations. These specialisations are Geotechnical Engineering and Manufacturing, Materials Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Manufacturing and Materials Engineering, Computing and Mathematics, Data Science, Power Electronics and Power Systems and System-on-Chip Design. To be eligible for the MTech programme at IIT Palakkad candidates need graduation with 60%. The selection of the candidates who are eligible for the MTech programme happens through GATE and COAP Counselling.

BTech at IIT Palakkad is offered under five specialisations namely Civil, Computer Science, Data Science, Mechanical and Electrical. Admission to these courses are entirely dependent on JEE Main exams, and the candidates need a minimum of 75% in their class 12 to be eligible for this programme. Each of the specialisations provided above has a total intake of 40 seats. So the total number of seats for the BTech programme is 200.

IIT Palakkad offers various scholarships for the M.Tech programme. One such scholarship is the Merit Cum Means Scholarship for Professional and Technical Courses CS, which is available to OBC category students with 50% and above marks, and whose annual family income is below INR 2.50 lakhs. There are a total of INR 60,000 fresh scholarships available nationally annually for this category. Additionally, scholarships are also provided for students with disabilities, with a requirement of 40% or more disability and an annual parental family income below INR 6 lakhs. A total of INR 17,000 fresh scholarships are available nationally annually for students with disabilities.
