    {Source: B.E. / B.Tech students & alumni}

    Course Curriculum at Impact College of Engineering and Applied Sciences

    The course curriculum at Impact College of Engineering and Applied Sciences is structured to provide students with a solid foundation in engineering principles and practices. However, some students feel that the curriculum may not entirely prepare them for industry requirements due to its outdated nature.

    Here are some key aspects of the course curriculum:

    * Teaching Quality: Teachers are knowledgeable and friendly, providing real-time examples to explain complex concepts. Their teaching quality is good, helping students gain a deeper understanding of the subject matter.
    * Practical Experiences: While the curriculum covers theoretical aspects, some students feel that they could benefit from more practical experience to bridge the gap between academia and industry.
    * Relevance: The course curriculum is relevant to the field of engineering, covering essential topics and theories. However, it may need updating to reflect current industry trends and demands.
    * Labs and Facilities: The college's labs are well-equipped, providing students with hands-on experience in conducting experiments and projects.

    It appears that while the course curriculum has its strengths, such as knowledgeable teachers and relevance to the field, it may require updates to fully prepare students for industry expectations.

    College is really decent at everything; campus placement is really poor.
    Placements: Just 3 students were placed out of around 56 students; I am talking about super seniors. The highest was maybe 3.5 LPA, though I am not sure, heard it from staff. Startups mostly, I never heard of their names. Around 15 out of 56 full-stack developers mostly.
    Infrastructure: Decent infrastructure, students don't have access to Wi-Fi. Labs are okay, not that bad. Classrooms and library are decent and comfortable. I am not a hosteler, but I have gone there a few times; toilets are horrible, can't use. And campus is decent, very decent.
    Faculty: Teachers are qualified but lack the ability to teach. They try hard and put effort, but they don't have the natural talent, I feel. Course curriculum is highly not relevant. Honestly, I didn't benefit anything. Out of 65 students in our class, 30-35 fail in at least one subject.
    Other: I was passionate about Computer Science Engineering, so I chose this. Best thing is, I can work from home or anywhere in the world; I can start my own tech company. More practical than theory. Events and extracurricular activities are decent—Freshers' Day, Cultural Day, cricket tournaments, etc.—but students have to pay compulsory.

    Review of Impact college.
    Placements: The placement percentage of this college is about 87%. The highest package offered is 17 LPA, the lowest package is 7 LPA, and the average package is 6 LPA. Around 77% of students in our course got internships in MNCs.
    Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure were very good, and they provided a good environment on campus. The quality of the facilities in the college hostel was very good. However, the quality of the food available in the mess/canteen was not good.
    Faculty: The teachers are very helpful and supportive, and the teaching quality is amazing. There are eight semesters in four years, and the exams are not difficult.
    Other: I really like the campus life at this college. The environment is very good, especially when sitting under the trees. There are many events that take place, and many clubs that students can join, such as the innovation club, design thinking club, and technical club.

    I have a very good experience to share in this review.
    Placements: In the case of Data Science, there are 60 students. 20-30% of students were selected for placements. The highest package is 20 Lacs. The lowest package is 3 Lacs. The available companies for internships are Amazon, Airtel, Infosys, Genpact, etc.
    Infrastructure: In our college, the classrooms are not that great. In the library, there are many books which are helpful for higher studies. But the library is not that much good. I am not a hosteler; I am a day scholar. But my friends are in the hostel.
    Faculty: Sometimes the teachers are not able to complete the syllabus. The teaching quality is good. Students need to put in the effort to study. Sometimes the semester exams are difficult, and sometimes easy; it depends on the subject. The passing percentage is 90%.
    Other: The Data Science course has a good talk in society. It has a better future. I am very interested in joining this course. In our college, many fests are conducted, like Fresher's Day, Ethnic Day, College Day, etc.

    We have satisfied with your course and college with infrastructure in your college.
    Placements: 70 percent of students were placed in your college. The highest package in your college and course is 20 Lacs per annum and the lowest package is offered by small-scale jobs. The top recruiting companies are Tata, HP Software Developer, Dell, IBM, and many more. We got 60 percent of internship opportunities from the company.
    Infrastructure: The facilities are Wi-Fi with high speed and smart TVs for all classrooms. For the Department of Technology, we have high expectations for labs and the library. We have hostel facilities available for your college and good. And the canteen was available with good food facilities. We connected sports and games in your course and college with all games.
    Faculty: The teachers are helpful for me to get good knowledge for students. We have qualified. They did Ph.D. highly qualified teachers and highly knowledgeable teachers. Teaching quality is good for students. The course curriculum is relevant, they will get students who are industry-ready to visit. We have difficulty passing the subjects for the semester.

    Good environment, and good teaching, especially math teacher.
    Placements: The percentage of placement is not that good, but education is good. The lowest package is INR 4 Lacs per year, and the highest may be INR 8 Lacs per year. Infosys, Cafe Coffee Day, Accenture, etc. visit for recruitment. In these companies, we get good offers and roles. I am just in my first year, and I am expecting more from my college. I hope our days will be good.
    Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is there, classrooms are good, and labs are okay. The library is good. We have a canteen, a cafe, and hygienic food. Labs should be improved, but otherwise everything is okay. Classrooms also have to be improved more. During rainy seasons, it becomes the worst.
    Faculty: Teachers and teaching are good. They give more importance to education than to functions. Exams are normal, sometimes difficult. Our college is under VTU, so exam papers will come from the board. Students need to work hard. My first semester has been challenging, but I am hopeful that it will improve in the future.
    Other: I took this course because nowadays it's trending and I'm interested in it. Events take place sometimes. Scholarships are offered.

    The college and faculty all are good but in terms of placement I don't recommend this college.
    Placements: *Only 5-10% of students got placement *the highest is 6lk and least is 2lk per annum *Infosys is top company only 2 members got selected *40% of student got SSC scholarship and other people completed some course from private companies like Infosys for very low salary *Computer system engineering jobs.
    Infrastructure: *Wi-Fi facility is not availability all the times Classroom are good but they don't have AC fans sometimes don't work Labs doesn't have proper time table * Food in the canteen is good by taste sometimes but very poor in hygiene, they introduce a yoga period but no teacher is available .
    Faculty: *Teachers are good and upto qualification, they are good in teaching but some get angry for doubts *Yes, course is curriculum relevant * It is medium tough paper and pass percentage is 45% and u can also complete backlogs by mock up exams by paying extra money.
    Other: * I choose it because based on my marks in KCET course feels became discount * Proper placement is not there, I wish it would better * Good events are also done some actors also come and fest are also good.

    {Source: B.E. / B.Tech students & alumni}

    Is B.E./B.Tech at Impact College of Engineering and Applied Sciences a good choice?

    Here's a summary of the pros and cons:

    Pros:

    * Good education
    * Well-qualified and helpful teachers
    * Library with sufficient resources
    * Eco-friendly campus
    * Good infrastructure (classrooms, laboratories, hostel)
    * Opportunities for internships and off-campus placements
    * Average salary package ranging between INR 4-8 Lacs per annum

    Cons:

    * Limited placement opportunities within the college
    * Low placement rate (around 35%)
    * Lack of on-campus placements
    * Limited resources for laboratories and projects
    * Poor hostel facilities and food
    * Some teachers may not be supportive of students' career goals
    * Course curriculum may not prepare students fully for industry requirements
    * Limited extracurricular activities and fests
