Review of Indian Council of Forestry Research and Education.
Placements: Almost every student got placed in many companies like Century Paper, JK Paper, Build, etc., with the highest salary package of 25 LPA. Companies from South India never visit our campus for placements. Students who got placed are not satisfied with the job offered by the companies.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is not that good and need more development. They still use old fashioned machinery. There is a lack of research lab facilities. The course curriculum has to change for the betterment of students. The college should provide the proper environment.
Faculty: In cellulose and paper technology, there is a lack of knowledgeable faculty members. The college should provide continual lecturers. The first two semesters were boring, but for the next two semesters, CPPRI is a good place to study and to do something innovative.
Other: It is an excellent campus with mindblowing scenic beauty. The great cultural diversity makes the campus more attractive.

It is good in facilities, infrastructure and also placements.
Placements: The placement opportunities are very good because the college is a prestigious college in the field of forestry. FRI offers four courses which are unique masters course, i.e., masters in forestry, wood science and technology, the environment management, cellulose and paper technology. In four courses, two are known for 100% placement. In the forestry sector, I cannot say that placement is not that good because I do not know how many companies come for the forestry sector. Generally the forestry student prepare for IFS and go for further studies.
Infrastructure: The Forest Research Institute is a brand name in the field of forestry. FRI provides all facilities to the students including Wi-Fi, labs, library, and digital classrooms. There are well-maintained divisions for practical works. It also provides medical facilities. Every year, FRI organises a sports week in which students play all sports indoor and outdoor sessions. The quality of labs and classroom is good, and hostel facility is also good. There is no infrastructure issue in our college.
Faculty: The Forest Research Institute is one of the best institutes and headquarters of ICFRE (Indian Council of Forestry Research and Education). Those lecturers who teach are the specialists in the field as well as the scientist in respective divisions. In ICFRE, there is 1 scientist/lecture for every 4 students. Scientist shares lots of field knowledge with us. Mostly lecturers teach on a projector in digital classrooms.
Other: The Indian Council of Forestry Research and Education organises cultural fest every year and various events including Vigilance day, commonwealth forest conference 2017 held on our campus. It provides scholarship facility also for toppers.

Satisfied because of ensured placement in private sector.
Placements: Senior batches had 100% placements. The average salary of the seniors was Rs. 20,000. Our batches have a minimum salary bar of Rs. 30,000. At present, 4 students have been placed. The placement cell is highly active. However, students are left with little choice of location of work and have to appear for all the companies who come for placements.
Infrastructure: The legacy of wood science studies has been maintained well with faculty members having experience of various sizes and colours. The library is well-equipped and is national level. Every year, a sports meet is organised. The classrooms are okay. Conveyance is not provided for students, and that is a problem in rainy season.
Faculty: The faculty are highly experienced and skilled at their work. The teaching methods are basic. The classroom discussion is not always encouraged. Faculty consist of scientists who come for classes as and when scheduled. Exposure to industries is ensured through study tour and industrial attachments.
Other: The campus crowd is good. Extracurricular activities are not always encouraged. A scholarship of Rs. 11,000 is provided only to general and ST/SC candidates of the class.

This is the place where we are connected to nature. We not only learn but heel.
Placements: The placements are good with a good annual package. The companies from Gurugram, Kolkata, Mangaluru, etc. visit our campus. There is a placement cell involving students contacting various companies. There is 100% placement given by our campus. Our seniors are good and are earning reasonable salaries.
Infrastructure: It has a good infrastructure, a perfect central library and various laboratories are present. We have both the theory, as well as, practical for effective learning of the students. The best environment for sports study and other activities is present, which are an important part, so all infrastructure and facilities are present.
Faculty: The faculty are well skilled and knowledgeable. They are scientists who do research, but the course needs to be revised and should be done with the present market trends. Hence, the college is better for the score in the field of wood, as we are the only one who specialises in wood science.
Other: There are all types of national, international and inter-university events.
