IIAD Entrance Exam Pattern 2025: Marking Scheme, No. of Questions, Question Type, Duration

For admission in design courses offered at the Indian Institute of Art and Design aspirants need to give iDAT. Candidates who clear this admission round then need to appear for the Studio Simulation round.

iDAT Exam Pattern 2024

It may be noted that candidates who apply for the Interior Architecture and Design course are exempted from taking the written entrance exam if they have taken the National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA). IIAD admissions 2023 of such candidates will be done on the basis of their performance in studio simulation and portfolio assessment rounds only.

Studio Simulation 2024

After appearing for iDAT candidates need to appear for a personal interaction session called Studio Simulation. The round is conducted to evaluate a candidate's creative thinking, teamwork, innovation, articulation, and problem-solving abilities.

Studio simulation is an activity of two hours duration in which a group of 10-15 students are given some material along with a brief. Candidates are required to create a 3D model using that material under the supervision of the faculty. 

The admission process for the Fashion Business Management course is divided into two phases. Candidates need to first give iMAT and aspirants who clear this admission round then need to appear for personal interview round. The detailed process is mentioned below.

iMAT Exam Pattern 2025

Candidates applying for Fashion Business Management courses at the Indian Institute of Art and Design need to appear for the IIAD Management Aptitude Test (iMAT). Aspirants are informed that iMAT is of two hours duration. iMAT exam pattern is such that candidates are evaluated on aspects such as their language, logical reasoning, and creative thinking. 

iMAT 2024 will be conducted at various centers across the country.

Personal Interview 2025

Candidates who give iMAT 2025 need also appear for a personal interview round.The interview round for admission in fashion management courses is conducted at IIAD campus in New Delhi.
