IILET 2025: Indore Institute of Law (IIL) is accepting admission to BBA LLB (Hons.) with Global & Transnational Studies, BA LLB and BBA LLB courses through the IILET 2025 exam and the scores of CLAT 2025. The IILET 2025 application is open currently at indoreinstituteoflaw.org.

The last date to fill out the IILET application form 2025 is January 22, 2024. Thus, aspirants need to apply for IILET 2025 as soon as possible. A total of 70% of seats will be filled on the basis of IILET 2025, 10% of seats on the basis of class 12th scores, and 20% on the basis of CLAT 2025 or LSAT India 2025 scores. What is IILET?

The Indore Institute of Law (IIL) conducts an entrance exam known as IILET for admissions to its five-year integrated law courses. IILET is conducted in a paper-based test mode for a duration of two hours. The exam has 150 MCQs carrying 1 mark each. The negative marking of 0.25 marks is done for wrong attempts. The question paper of IILET is based on English Language, Current Affairs, including General Knowledge, Legal Reasoning, Logical Reasoning, Quantitative Techniques. On the basis of IILET scores, the selected candidates will have to appear for the personal interview rounds.

IILET 2025 Application Form

Candidates can apply for IILET 2025 online at indoreinstituteoflaw.org. To fill out the IILET 2025 application form, candidates have to enter all details in the form and submit it by the last date. Candidates first need to register in online mode entering their name, email Id, phone number, course selection and password creation. After this, candidates will be provided with a username and password (as created). Candidates have to log in with the credentials and fill out the application form and pay the fee. The application form fee for all UG courses is INR 2000, candidates can pay in online mode using Credit Card/ Debit Card/ Net Banking Method. 

IILET 2024 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates interested in admissions to Indore Institute of Law through IILET 2025 need to fulfil the eligibility criteria as under: 

  • They should have passed or appeared in Class 12th or an equivalent examination from a recognised board of education 
  • Those who have passed the class 12th qualifying examination, need to secure at least 45% marks or an equivalent CGPA if belonging to General/OBC category and, 40% marks or an equivalent CGPA if belonging to SC/ ST category 
  • The candidates who appeared or are appearing in the qualifying examination are also eligible to apply for IILET 2025 however, they should submit the documented proof of fulfilling the eligibility criteria at the time of the selection process. 

IILET 2025 Admission Process

The institute will conduct the admission process of IILET 2025 as under: 

Stage 1 - Apply for IILET:

Candidates seeking admissions to the five-year law courses at IIL need to apply in online mode on the official website. Candidates first need to register in online mode entering their name, email Id, phone number, the course selection and password creation. After this, candidates will be provided with a username and password (as created). Candidates have to log in with the credentials and fill the application form and pay the fee. The application form fee for all UG courses is INR 2,000, candidates can pay in online mode using Credit Card/ Debit Card/ Net Banking Method. 

Stage 2 - Download IILET Admit Card:

ILI will issue admit cards to all the candidates who have registered for IILET 2025 in online mode. Candidates can download the admit card for IILET 2025 from the official website after entering their login credentials. The admit card will mention the details about IILET 2025 test date, timings, exam centre name, location as well as, the details of the candidates taking the exam.

Stage 3 - Appear for IILET:

Candidates have to appear for IILET 2025 as per the schedule. They should carry the admit card of IILET 2025 and one valid ID proof along with it. Candidates should reach the exam centre at least an hour before the exam timings and follow the instructions provided by the exam centre authority carefully. Candidates will have to complete the examination in two hours only. The question paper of IILET 2025 will be of comprehensive and reasoning type to assess candidates analytical skills. 

Stage 4 - Declaration of IILET Results:

The institute will declare the results of IILET 2025 online. Candidates can check their qualifying status for IILET 2025 on the official website of the law college. The candidates qualifying the entrance exam will be issued scorecards mentioning details of their marks in each subject and overall scores out of 150 marks. 

Stage 5 - Appear for Selection Rounds: 

Candidates who will qualify for IILET 2025 will be further called for Personal Interview (PI) rounds for final selection. The candidates seeking admissions to BBA LLB (Hons.) in Global and Transnational Studies will be required to take the Psychometric Test along with PI on the same day. 

IILET 2025 Exam Pattern

The exam pattern for IILET 2025 is given below:

The IILET 2025 will focus on evaluating the comprehension and reasoning skills and abilities of candidates. Overall, it is designed to be a test of aptitude and skills that are necessary for a legal education rather than prior knowledge, though prior knowledge occasionally may be useful to respond to questions in the Current Affairs section.
The IILET 2025 shall be a 2-hour test, with 150 multiple-choice questions carrying 1 mark each. There shall be negative marking of 0.25 marks for every wrong answer. These questions would be divided across the following 5 subjects:

  • English Language
  • Current Affairs, including General Knowledge
  • Legal Reasoning
  • Logical Reasoning
  • Quantitative Techniques

IILET 2025 Syllabus

The syllabus of IILET is given below:

English Language: There are passages of about 450 words each. These passages will be derived from contemporary or historically significant fiction and non-fiction writing, and would be of a standard that a 12th standard student may be able to read in about 5-7 minutes. Each passage will be followed by a series of questions that will require to demonstrate comprehension and language skills, including abilities to:

  • Read and comprehend the main point discussed in the passage, as well as any arguments and viewpoints discussed or set out in the passage
  • Draw inferences and conclusions based on the passage
  • Summarise the passage
  • Compare and contrast the different arguments or viewpoints set out in the passage
  • Understand the meaning of various words and phrases used in the passage.

Current Affairs Including General Knowledge: In this section, candidates are provided passages of up to 450 words each. The passages are derived from news, journalistic sources and other non-fiction writing. The questions may include an examination of legal information or knowledge discussed in or related to the passage, but would not require any additional knowledge of the law beyond the passage. Each passage will be followed by a series of questions that will require you to demonstrate the awareness of various aspects of current affairs and general knowledge, including:

  • Contemporary events of significance from India and the world;
  • Arts and culture;
  • International affairs; and
  • Historical events of continuing significance.

Legal Reasoning: In this section, candidates are expected to read passages of around 450 words each. The passages may relate to fact situations or scenarios involving legal matters, public policy questions or moral philosophical enquiries. candidates do not require any prior knowledge of the law. Candidates benefit from a general awareness of contemporary legal and moral issues to better apply general principles or propositions to the given fact scenarios. Each passage would be followed by a series of questions that will require to:

  • Identify and infer the rules and principles set out in the passage;
  • Apply such rules and principles to various fact situations; and
  • Understand how changes to the rules or principles may alter their application to various fact situations.

Logical Reasoning: The Logical Reasoning section of the IILET 2025 will include a series of short passages of about 300 words each. Each passage will be followed by one or more questions that will require to:

  • Recognize an argument, its premises and conclusions;
  • Read and identify the arguments set out in the passage;
  • Critically analyse patterns of reasoning, and assess how conclusions may depend on particular premises or evidence;
  • Infer what follows from the passage and apply these inferences to new situations;
  • Draw relationships and analogies, identify contradictions and equivalence and assess the effectiveness of arguments.

Quantitative Techniques: The Quantitative Techniques section of the IILET 2025 will include short sets of facts or propositions, graphs, or other textual, pictorial or diagrammatic representations of numerical information, followed by a series of questions. You will be required to derive information from such passages, graphs, or other representations, and apply mathematical operations on such information.

Through IILET, the institute will offer admissions to following five-year integrated law courses:

  • Bachelor of Business Administration - Bachelor of Law (BBA LLB) Hons. with specialisation in Global and Transnational Studies
  • BBA LLB (Hons.) 
  • Bachelor of Arts - Bachelor of Law (BA LLB) 

IILET 2025 Scholarships

The law institute offers following scholarships to the candidates: 

Scholarship Type  Features/ Criteria
IILET 2025 Scholarships  Candidates qualifying IILET 2025 with scores between 141 to 80 will be offered INR 50,000 to INR 10,000 respectively.
IIL Mock Test 2025 Scholarships  Candidates attempting and qualifying mock tests of IIL, which is conducted in seven rounds. The scholarships will be awarded as per the rules of IILET Mock Test 2025. 
Scholarships to candidates on the basis of CLAT 2025 scores

Candidates who have merit scores in CLAT 2025 exams can avail the scholarship

Meritorious Scholarships 

Candidates who obtained merit scores in the Class 12th qualifying examination can avail the scholarship as under: 

  • Scores above 90.5% - Can avail 20% of the tuition fee amount as the scholarship 
  • Scores above 85.5-90% - Can avail 15% of the tuition fee amount as the scholarship 
Sports Scholarships 
  • Candidates who have participated and won any National or International level sports competition at state/ national/ international level can avail 10% waiver on tuition fee through the scholarship
  • Candidates must have obtained a certificate from the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports/ National Federation/Board 
  • Candidates can continue the scholarship by participating in the sports/ events of the university i.e. Devi Ahalya  Vishwavidhalaya.
Scholarships to PWD candidates

Candidates with more than 40% disability in the following categories would be eligible for Tuition Fee Waiver scholarships - 

  • Blindness
  • Low vision
  • Leprosy cured
  • Hearing impairment
  • Locomotor disability
  • Mental retardation and mental illness
Scholarships to SC/ ST candidates  Award of scholarships to eligible candidates belonging to SC/ ST category as per the rules of Government of India.

Q:   How IILET is different from other law entrance exams such as CLAT and AILET?

A:

IILET is a standardized test with a uniform pattern and single question paper for admissions to five-year integrated LLB courses in Law. Candidates can take the exam for admissions IIL. Whereas, CLAT and AILET have separate question papers for UG and PG courses. Based on CLAT scores, admissions are done at 22 NLUs and accepting colleges. Check the list of NLUs here.
