Life in IEM, one of the best college in Kolkata.
Placements: Top recruiting companies like TCS, Amazon, CTS, etc. , visit our college for placements. Top roles like manager, assistant manager, sales, and team leader are offered to the students. I don't know about an internship offered to the students. Companies conduct on-campus teams and recruit students way before course completion;.
Infrastructure: The facilities available in our college are quite good. If you daily attend the class, then everything is right. If you do not attend the classes, then they will not give marks in the internal. I like to study in this college. Facilities like Wi-Fi, labs, a library, and everything available in the college is good. The college does not provide a hostel facility. The canteen sells food at a low price, and the quality of the food served is good. Sports facilities are also available.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are helpful. If you do not attend the classes daily, then they will not help you a lot. All the teachers are well-qualified. The course curriculum is relevant. Teachers teach us to work in the industry and how to work properly.
Other: I have chosen this course because I was always interested in it. I wish the college should provide more practical classes. Tech fest and cultural fest are organized at our college. The campus is less crowded. The campus is clean. Scholarships are also available.

Overall our college provides good experience.
Placements: Campus placements in our college are not so good. Mostly marketing companies come for campusing. For finance specialisation, two top companies i.e., PWC and EY visit the campus, apart from these companies they provide campus placements for private banks only. But mostly there are marketing companies who offer an average salary package of 4.5 LPA.
Infrastructure: It is a good college, but the infrastructure of the hostel can be improved.
Faculty: Faculty members in our college are outstanding except a few.

IEM is the best college to have a good career.
Placements: The MBA batch of 2018 had approximately 240 students. We passed out in 2020. Approximately 90% of us were well placed. The highest package offered was 6.5 LPA, the lowest package was 2.5 LPA, and the average package was about 3.5 LPA. The top recruiting company was NTPC. Approximately 40% of students got internships in NTPC. The top role offered was keeping records and data for business planning.
Infrastructure: The college has very good infrastructure, big and spacious classrooms, a big library with enough seating capacity and very good books from different writers. The campus is Wi-Fi enabled. The labs are well-equipped. Everything was pretty good in the hostel as well, and the food quality in hostel mess and canteen was good too. Good medical facilities are available. Huge grounds for sports and games are available.
Faculty: The teachers were very helpful and knowledgeable. They know what to teach and how to teach to the students, and their teaching quality was very good. This course curriculum is relevant, and it makes students industry-ready.
Other: Students from different parts of the country make the campus environment very good and enjoyable. The best thing was that we got placements and also enjoyed college life. The placement rate should be increased. Events, fests, and campus crowd were awesome. Scholarships are provided to the students. The campus surroundings are good. Extracurricular activities are good.

One of the best colleges. Satisfied with my 2 year, best placements with good education.
Placements: I am from the marketing department. The highest placement was offered 6.5 Lacs and the lowest was 1.8 Lacs. Overall placement in this college is quite good. Almost 90% placement offered for marketing and finance students. Most company came in college and few pooled placement were conducted outside the campus. Companies like Byju's, HDFC bank, IDFC bank, Extramark, Asian Paints, TCS, EY, Bandhan Bank, McNROE, VMART, Pantaloons, HRI, PWC visited the campus and some pooled placement were conducted during our 3rd and 4th semester. But very few FMCG company visited.
Infrastructure: College is situated in a very good location and infrastructure is good. Labs are okay but Wi-Fi is not standard. Classrooms are modern with AC and digital projectors. Every classroom has a separate computer facility. There is one meal canteen and one cafe coffee day outlet inside the campus. Library is good with digital facilities. There is two elevator and proper service of drinking water. Separate toilets for boys and girls.
Faculty: Teachers are very qualified and knowledgeable. They are very helpful. Sometimes faculty members from foreign university like USA, Singapore or UK visits our campus and they will take a few classes of marketing or finance or hr. Almost all college faculty members are doctorate from reputed universities. In first year there is Economics Times class which is very helpful about industry and economy. Teachers takes both online and offline assignments. In first year college will provide industrial visits to some local factories in Kolkata or other districts.
Other: There is cultural fest, industrial fest and some other workshops in first year which are helpful.
