Average placements and a disciplined college.

Placements: Placements at IEM, Kolkata is good. A dedicated student who works hard will definitely get placed in some IT company. In the year 2016, salaries offered were higher and more in numbers- SAP India, Abzooba, ARW, Lexmark, etc. that offered salaries between 7 to 11 LPA. In the year 2017, TCS Digital, Fusion Charts, Samsung India, Adobe, ARW offered salaries of 6 to 10 LPA. Other than higher paying companies, there are mass recruiters like IBM, Infosys, Cognizant, TCS, Capgemini, Tech Mahindra, etc....

Absolutely satisfied with faculty and placement.

Placements: Placements in our college are very, very good. It is one of the top colleges under WBUT (West Bengal University of Technology). Seniors were satisfied with the placement and we are hoping the same. The highest salary is around Rs. 70000 per month and the lowest is Rs. 20000 per month. The average is 25000-35000 per month. Companies like TCS, Wipro, Cognizant, E-Force, etc. come. In an overall view, the placement is very good and almost 95% students get placed on campus. ...

Satisfied with the placement and the faculty but not with the infrastructure.

Placements: The placement in this college is really good. There were many companies like SAP, CTS, TCS, Wipro, and many more. Students were placed at a minimum of 2 jobs per head. 90% of the students were placed whereas the other 10% thought of going for higher studies. The lowest salary offered was Rs. 17000/month and the highest was Rs. 90000/month.

Good college, completely satisfied with placements.

Placements: The placements of the engineering department in IEM is very good. There are some companies like TCS and IBM which recruit many students at a time. Coming to the internship, I did my internship from TCS and got a stipend of Rs. 10,000 per month. Overall, it is a good college in terms of placements.

Good private college for engineering.

Placements: Since this college is situated at Salt Lake Sector V, the IT hub of Kolkata, many IT companies like Wipro, Infosys, Cognizant, etc. visit for placements every year and they offer quite good salaries to the students. All the students got placed in our batch. The average salary was 2.5 lakhs per annum.

Overall trust worthy business school. Very good environment. Good student-teacher relationship.

Placements: The placements offered in the college are above average for marketing, below average for finance and not good for HR & systems. The senior batch placements offered were so-so. But our batch placements are not up to the mark as expected. The companies are visiting but the brands are missing. Even if brands are present, then the good posts are not offered.

IEM- school of engineering, not a college.

Placements: IEM used to have placements till the 2016 batch. Things have changed from this year i.e. 2017. The placement has not been that good, although it is still okay compared to the other colleges in WB. The mass recruiters include Tata Consultancy Services, Infosys, Cognizant, Wipro and NRI Fintech. Some other companies that have recruited from CSE and IT departments are ARW, PwC, Azbooba, Tech Mahindra, Ericsson, etc.

Satisfied with placements and faculty but infrastructure can be improved.

Placements: Our college has 100% placements every year. Plenty of IT companies and some core companies come every year. Our college also conducts off-campus for those who cannot get placed in on-campus interviews. Prior to that, the college conducts employment enhancement classes for all who will sit for placements.

Student life at Institute of Engineering and Management.

Placements: Statistical data says that there are 100 percent placements. Average package is about 3.2 LPA. But off campus, the highest package is 1 crore from Amazon. Generally, IT companies recruit more engineers from IEM. Placement is better for CSE and IT. ECE, ME and EE struggle to get placed in IT companies as only a few core companies visit the IEM campus.

IEM- You get your equal share of sweetness and bitterness.

Placements: The placement season saw a downfall this year with a few people still left to get placed. A few of them also received 2-3 job offers. Companies like NRI Fintech, Fusion Charts, Infosys, Cognizant, Tech Mahindra, Azbooba, Capgemini, TCS came to recruit freshers.

CS student: Absolutely dissatisfied with management but superb placement in 2015, and good faculty!

Placements: Placement was very good, 95% of us was placed (rest 5% had bad attendance or couldn't crack interviews). But 95% were placed in IT companies like Infosys, CTS, Wipro where CTC is around 3 LPA. On an average, we got 1.5 jobs. I personally got 3 jobs. Very few people got placed in small startups. Mostly we got placed in software engg field. 10-15 people got an internship from our batch in those IT companies. So, if you just want to secure a job (CTC doesn't matter) you can join IEM Kolkata. ...

Placements: Placements of my batch went well as almost 10-15 companies came for us and almost 70% of the students got placed. The highest salary offered is 16 LPA and lowest salary offered is 3.25 LPA. NRI Fin Tech, IBM, Tech Mahindra, CTS, Infosys, Kreeti Technologies, Directi, Microsoft, etc. Our teachers are very helpful regarding all the placement activities. 30 percent of the students got internships from the college. There were good placements in 2015, but the infrastructure is not that good.

Placements: I got placed in Cognizant and Infosys. Almost 90-95% of the students got placed with the average salary, which starts from 3 LPA-3.5 LPA in companies like Infosys, Cognizant and Wipro. Around 5-7% of the students got placed with the highest salary package of 8-12 LPA in startups. During our course, around 25% of the students got internships in good companies like Oracle, Microsoft, etc.

Placements: IEM, being a private college, it is mainly known for its discipline and decent placements. I have taken admission by considering the past placement records. Up to my knowledge, the highest placement record was 12.7 lakhs per annum which were in 2011. According to the college, it claims to have 100% placements in CSE, and IT sectors which I believe is roughly correct. I got placed in the campus placements

Placements: The placements were pretty good. I got selected for 2 companies among which I decided to go for Cognizant as it was a better option than the other. Almost every student of my class got placed. The highest salary was 4 lakhs and the lowest was 1.8 lakhs. Wipro, TCS, Cognizant, and L&T Infotech were some companies which came for placements. Roles offered: Programme Manager, Software Engineer etc. Almost 85% students got placed.

Placements: Placements are going on for our batch. Bulk companies mostly visit our campus. Being in the Sector 5 region of Kolkata and because it admits some really bright students, the college has a good reputation. In the previous batch, all eligible students were placed.

Story of an IEMian. Well, it is 4 years of a school life.

Placements: In the past few years, IEM has got more than the required placement offers. Average salary offered is about 3.5 LPA by the companies like TCS, CTS, Infosys, etc. as on campus placements. Few other companies came for off campus placements.
