Yes, candidates UGC CSIR qualification are exempted from PhD entrance test. However, they have to sit for an interview round conducted by the University.

For PhD programme, candidates are selected on the basis of marks scored in entrance test and performance in interview round conducted by the University. The entrance test is a theory paper based on postgraduate level syllabus with a weightage of 80 per cent. The remaining weightage of 20 per cent is given to the candidate’s score in interview.

Eligibility Criteria: Master’s degree with a minimum of 50% aggregate (45% aggregate for SC/ ST category candidates) OR Fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accounts or Institute of Cost and Works Accountants or qualified as company secretary.

Selection Criteria: Candidates who have qualified UGC NET/ UGC3 CSIR NET/ GATE/ Teacher fellowship exam or MPhil exam are exempted from the entrance test, they only need to appear for interview round. 

Bharati Vidyapeeth Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Centre (BVIMR), New Delhi, does not accept BUMAT (Banaras Hindu University Medical Admission Test) scores for admission to its undergraduate medical programs. BVIMR follows a separate admission process for its MBBS programme based on the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) scores.

NEET is a national-level medical entrance exam conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for admission to undergraduate medical programs in India. For regular category students, the BMAT exam is a must, along with GD and PI. Selection is done according to the merit list prepared from the marks they scored in the BMAT exam of 200 marks +GD+PI. Whereas, NRI/Foreign/PIO/OCI/INSTITUTIONAL QUOTA students are selected with a separate merit list prepared depending upon their merit category. The seat intake is 180 for MBA with dual specialisations. The final merit list is a combination of BMAT, GD, and PI scores achieved by the candidate.

The cutoff for Bharati Vidyapeeth Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Centre (BVIMR), New Delhi, for the academic year 2023 will be released by the institute after the completion of the admission process.
