Good for students who want to pursue engineering. Placement is average.
Placements: I am in 2016-2020 batch, pursuing BE in Computer Science.
1. 60-70% of students got placed in my batch.
2. The highest Package is 4.8 lac and the lowest is 1.8 lac.
3. Capgemini, CMS, Cognizant are the recruiters.
4. System Analyst is one of the top role that we got.
5. Average package lies between 2.5 to 3 lac.
6. Internship craze is less as most of the students prefer industrial training because a lot of industries are in our city like SECL, NTPC, BALCO etc.
Infrastructure: 1. College is having a very good infrastructure as it is a new college. It doesn't have a lot of courses to offer but the courses provided have superb facilities for everything from Lab, Wi-Fi connection to industrial exposure. Overall it has a good environment.
2. There are facilities for sports and the canteen. The medical facility is well but hostel is yet to be developed. Very few students take accommodation in the hostel because college is a bit far from main city so students prefer living in main city.
Faculty: 1. Teachers are friendly and supportive. The faculty members are good and experts in their field. The student-teacher ratio is well maintained. They are supportive and help whenever we need them.
2. The course is good and provides a good environment for the students' growth. They provide good industrial exposure.
Other: 1. I was fascinated by Computer Science and programming when I was in school so I decided to opt for this course and the college was also in my town so I choose it.
2. I'm from Computer Science background which has very little recruitment in the government sector. This is the only drawback for those students who wish to go to the government sector.
3. There is a provision of scholarship for financially weak students and they get it on yearly basis.

Institute of Technology, Korba has below criteria for taking admissions to it's various courses:

| B.E. / B.Tech | Candidate who has passed Diploma in Engineering/Architecture from a recognised board/university with 45% marks for UR category (40% marks for SC/ST/OBC and PWD category of Chattisgarh) can also apply for the course. Candidate passing 10th/12th through distance learning/open school shall be eligible for admission. Candidate passed Diploma programme through distance learning shall not be eligible to apply. If the candidate has passed 10+2 examination, but failed in one or more compulsory subject than the candidate shall not be considered eligible for admission. If the candidate is declared passed with grace as per the rule of related board than the candidate shall be eligible to apply. Candidate Upper age limit is 30 years for UR category, 35 years for PWD who belongs to UR category of Chattisgarh, 33 years for SC/ST/OBC and Female category of Chattisgarh, and 38 years for PWD who belongs to SC/ST/OBC and female category of Chattisgarh as on 1st of July of academic year. |
