A deep dive into ITM Institute of Hotel Management: unveiling campus life & academic excellence.
Placements: In my batch, there are 70 students. The average package offered in this course as a commis chef is ₹1,50,000. The top recruiting companies for this course are Taj, Oberoi, JW Marriott, ITC Maratha, St. Regis, Trident, and Jio World Convention. Every student in this course gets an internship and is placed after completing the course. Initially, as a pass-out student, one is placed as a commis chef with a salary of ₹1,50,000 monthly.
Infrastructure: There are blackboards as well as smartboards in the classrooms, which are provided with a stable network. There is a single computer lab mostly used for online exams. It also includes a library with huge classrooms accommodating around 100 students. The quality of food in the college canteen is very nice, and items are bought fresh every day, from vegetables to meat.
Faculty: The faculty in the college is very cooperative and helps when needed. The syllabus and curriculum are explained with clarity and transparency. The exams in the first year are written, and in the second and third years, there are online exams held in the college computer lab.
Other: I had to opt for the Merchant Navy, but because of poor eyesight, I was rejected. I wanted to work on a cruise, as it was my dream since the age of 14, so I chose this field. Every year, the college conducts a fest named Elements. Other colleges also send invitations for their college fests to our college.

It is an excellent college in Mumbai.
Placements: In our college, almost all students got internships and placements. Students got opportunities to apply for management training programs and were selected. Top recruiting companies like Oberoi, Grand Hyatt, Taj, JW Marriott, Sahar Star, etc., visited our campus.
Infrastructure: Our college provided excellent facilities and infrastructure. The library was great. Kitchens were properly equipped for students to learn and practice culinary skills. Students were provided with high-quality ingredients.
Faculty: Our teachers were helpful, knowledgeable, and experienced. They made the learning experience more fun and engaging by giving various fun tasks and assignments that involved doing research and creating new things. It made students industry-ready with proper grooming of their skills and knowledge.
Other: The good part about this college was its collaboration with Queen Margaret University in the United Kingdom. This provided students with dual certification in culinary arts, which helped us develop ourselves globally with global education and opportunities to work in other countries. They had the best and most supportive teachers who guided us through each aspect of this industry. Rules and regulations were strictly followed. Students got various opportunities to explore the hospitality industry through industrial visits and internship programs. They made sure that students got good placements. There were a lot more things to like about this institute. Overall, it is the best place to learn hospitality and build a bright career with them.

Review of ITM Institute of Hotel Management, Mumbai.
Placements: The guidance we received regarding placements was phenomenal and apt for our career prospects. The salary package offered was 2 LPA. When we showed up at properties and mentioned that we were ITM students, more responsibility was given to us. This was because chefs all knew we could handle roles and duties effortlessly.
Infrastructure: Our classrooms were spacious. Kitchens and restaurants were well-equipped beyond the industry level. All kitchens had industry-standard equipment. We often got to cook exotic, rare meats too, which would be difficult to source.
Faculty: Our teachers made our college experience worthwhile because their knowledge was most comprehensive compared to all instructors at other colleges. Our teachers are friendly. They guide us very well personally, academically, and regarding career choices.

It is a good college for international placements.
Placements: They help us with placements in 5-star properties. Seniors here help us with what we need when we go for our internships. Placements are great.
Infrastructure: They have six kitchens for different purposes: a front office lab, restaurants, an IT lab, and a conference room. The infrastructure is great, and all things are well-maintained.
Faculty: This is the only institute that gives a degree in culinary arts as well as in hospitality. Faculty members are great. Students get exposure to the industry in the first year. The curriculum is strict, but it helps us learn more about the industry and how to serve and put the crockery and cutlery in FnB practicals. Different types of methods are explained to us during our food production practicals and theory sessions. We get to learn about new and unique bakery products in the bakery, and faculty members help us make them and improve ourselves. They are very cooperative. The course is great. The learning experience is fine. Students get to learn a lot of new things in their first year.
