Q:   Is it worth pursuing GNM at Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, Bhagalpur?

    A:
    {Source: GNM students & alumni}

Based on the reviews and feedback from students and alumni, here's what we've gathered:

    * Infrastructure: While the infrastructure is not exceptional, the classes are spacious, and some labs are equipped with air-conditioning facilities. However, there is a lack of dedicated sports fields on campus.
    * Faculties: The faculty members are well-qualified, knowledgeable, and supportive, although there might be a slight shortage of staff members.
    * Placement: The placement record is generally good, with most students getting placed in government colleges and hospitals with decent packages (average package is around INR12-14 Lacs per annum). Top roles include Nursing Officer and Community Health Officer.
    * Hostel facilities: Girls' hostels are available, but boys need to find accommodations off-campus. Food quality in the girls' hostel mess is acceptable, but not outstanding.
    * Curriculum: The course curriculum is relevant and helps students prepare for industries.
    * Teaching quality: Teachers are helpful, knowledgeable, and supportive, making them valuable resources for students.
    * Campus life: Although there's limited recreational space, students still manage to enjoy themselves.
    * Internship opportunities: Many students get internships in reputed hospitals, providing hands-on experience.

Considering these factors, pursuing GNM at Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, Bhagalpur, seems like a reasonable choice for those interested in the field. However, students should weigh their expectations regarding infrastructure and hosting facilities against the overall academic and professional prospects.

Q:   How successful is the placement cell in securing jobs for GNM students at Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, Bhagalpur?

    A:
    {Source: GNM students & alumni}

Here's an honest and informative answer to the question:

    Placement Cell:

    * Unfortunately, there is no active placement cell at Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, Bhagalpur, which means students need to take initiative themselves to secure jobs after graduation.
    * As mentioned by several students, "every student has to put their own effort for jobs" due to the absence of a dedicated placement cell.

    Job Placements:

    * While the college doesn't have a formal placement process, many students have secured internships or training positions in government or private hospitals.
    * The top roles offered include positions such as nurses or GNM trainers.

Overall, while the college may not have a strong focus on career guidance and job placements, students can still pursue opportunities independently and leverage the institution's relationships with local healthcare providers.

Good college to get a good future in the medical field .
Placements: The number of students enrolled here is quite good, and the placement rates for students are fair enough, like any other college with a good course, as most of the students get there placement in government colleges and in good private hospitals with good packages .
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is not quite good enough but the classrooms are spacious enough for study, and some labs are equipped with AC facilities for students but there is a lack of dedicated sports fields on campus. Hostels are provided to girls, not boys, who have to find their own accommodation in neighbouring parts .
Faculty: Faculty members do not lack here like any other college in this state but at this point, seniors play a crucial role in running a college in a smooth manner. Also, the faculty members present are supportive in nature; internal and external internal exams are good enough to get passed out with flying colors.

Nursing is the future of medicine.
Placements: About 60 students are in each class, and the placement rate of students is very good, ranging from 80% to 95%. The top recruiters among them are government medical colleges and hospitals, offering good packages with an annual salary of 6 LPA.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good, but the hostel facility is only for girls; boys have to rent accommodation in the neighboring area. The quality of the girls' mess in the hostel is acceptable in terms of hygiene but not so good in taste. Currently, Wi-Fi is not available.
Faculty: Exams often take place here with a difficult level. One can pass with 5-6 days of good studies. Faculty members are short but highly knowledgeable and supportive, guiding students throughout gaining skills.

    Good college for gaining experience.
Placements: The placement rate is average after completing the course. The highest package you could expect from here is about 6-8 LPA, which is a decent amount. Government medical colleges are the main recruiters from this course. Top roles you could expect during placement are nursing officer positions.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good enough for an educational environment, and it is nearby a medical hospital, which helps a lot during clinical duties. Currently, the Wi-Fi facility is not fully fledged in parts of the hostel but will be enabled soon. The girls' hostel has its own mess in the hostel building, so there is no hurry to get food.
Faculty: Teachers are well qualified and supportive in nature, but the faculty number is a little less in college, not up to the required number of faculty needed for subjects to teach. So, seniors engage in class-taking activities which also help in gaining knowledge and learning new things.
Other: I chose this because there is a demand for medical professionals after Covid, and vacancies for these job roles are too many. Also, it is cost-effective.

A good college to gain knowledge in the field of nursing.
Placements: The percentage of placement in college is quite good, as most of the graduates get appointed to a government college that offers great salaries. The highest salary you could expect would be around 6–8 LPA roles that you could get appointed to, such as a nursing officer or community health officer.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of colleges is not so good, but hospital infrastructure is well-equipped and maintained. One can gain a lot of knowledge and practice from this environment. Libraries are present, but there is a shortage of books. Wi-fi is not available. The canteen is present with decent-type food.
Faculty: Teachers are good and well-qualified, but there is some shortage of faculty members, which may be fulfilled in the near future, and the campus area is not so big; it has some area as a facade, but it lacks a dedicated playground for sports. Curriculum and clinical duties help in gaining immense knowledge.
Other: It would be better if they provided boys' hostels and a dedicated playground for students for extracurricular activities.

Overall the placement was soo good. The top most role was offer in our course was the role of nurse or GNM trainer.
Infrastructure: The facilities are so good in our campus. There is a well-equipped labs, library and classroom. The infrastructure of our campus was not so good because the building was soo old. The qualities of the facilities in our hostel are also soo good. There is a separate hostel for girls. The food qualitu was just acceptable.
Faculty: The teachers are well qualified and quite knowledgeable. They are so helpful and kind in nature. They always supports the student in their career. Upskill yourself with new techniques.
Placements: The passing percentage of students is quite good. The average package offered here is around 12-14 LPA, and in most prestigious medical colleges and hospitals like AIIMS and Medanta, the top role that you can expect is that of a nursing officer and, at the rural level, a community health officer.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is well-maintained and conducive to fostering an environment for students to study, but there are no dedicated playgrounds for sports as the campus area is not so large. However, the educational buildings are well-equipped for student study. Currently, Wi-Fi facility is not available.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful and understanding while being well-qualified and knowledgeable. The curriculum that we follow is totally according to INC, so there is no problem with studying something that is totally irrelevant to our course. The semester is quite tough to achieve good marks.
