JLNMCH BHAGALPUR: College with pros and cons.
Placements: It's an MBBS college so getting a job totally depends on students performance in different entrance and competition exams like NEET PG and IICET. Just this year, a student from our college secured AIR 250 IN NEET PG. The paid internship of 1 year is provided in the college hospital itself after final year university results.
Infrastructure: The hostel are quite old. The facilities are good. We get beds, almirahs, tables, chairs, fans, etc. in the girls hostel. Boys hostel has fewer facilities. The game courts are there in boys hostel. There is a study room too. Mess is private so it totally depends on which Mess service you choose.
Faculty: Teachers and facilities are really good. But classes are quite less in higher years. Semesters are difficult as compared to university exams. The curriculum is according to AKTU. The questions are often repeated so it is a bit easier to pass in the semester and university.
Other: I wanted to become a doctor, so I chose this . The best thing about this course is you get to interact with patients. And respect for doctors in the family is high. There is a college foundation day, which is of one week, volleyball, football, cricket, etc., which is only for boys. Scholarships are provided to students who are financially weak.

General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) - Batch of 2027

Good college to get a good future in the medical field .
Placements: The number of students enrolled here is quite good, and the placement rates for students are fair enough, like any other college with a good course, as most of the students get there placement in government colleges and in good private hospitals with good packages .
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is not quite good enough but the classrooms are spacious enough for study, and some labs are equipped with AC facilities for students but there is a lack of dedicated sports fields on campus. Hostels are provided to girls, not boys, who have to find their own accommodation in neighbouring parts .
Faculty: Faculty members do not lack here like any other college in this state but at this point, seniors play a crucial role in running a college in a smooth manner. Also, the faculty members present are supportive in nature; internal and external internal exams are good enough to get passed out with flying colors.

Good college for gaining experience.
Placements: The placement rate is average after completing the course. The highest package you could expect from here is about 6-8 LPA, which is a decent amount. Government medical colleges are the main recruiters from this course. Top roles you could expect during placement are nursing officer positions.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good enough for an educational environment, and it is nearby a medical hospital, which helps a lot during clinical duties. Currently, the Wi-Fi facility is not fully fledged in parts of the hostel but will be enabled soon. The girls' hostel has its own mess in the hostel building, so there is no hurry to get food.
Faculty: Teachers are well qualified and supportive in nature, but the faculty number is a little less in college, not up to the required number of faculty needed for subjects to teach. So, seniors engage in class-taking activities which also help in gaining knowledge and learning new things.
Other: I chose this because there is a demand for medical professionals after Covid, and vacancies for these job roles are too many. Also, it is cost-effective.

Nursing is the future of medicine.
Placements: About 60 students are in each class, and the placement rate of students is very good, ranging from 80% to 95%. The top recruiters among them are government medical colleges and hospitals, offering good packages with an annual salary of 6 LPA.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good, but the hostel facility is only for girls; boys have to rent accommodation in the neighboring area. The quality of the girls' mess in the hostel is acceptable in terms of hygiene but not so good in taste. Currently, Wi-Fi is not available.
Faculty: Exams often take place here with a difficult level. One can pass with 5-6 days of good studies. Faculty members are short but highly knowledgeable and supportive, guiding students throughout gaining skills.

A good college to gain knowledge in the field of nursing.
Placements: The percentage of placement in college is quite good, as most of the graduates get appointed to a government college that offers great salaries. The highest salary you could expect would be around 6–8 LPA roles that you could get appointed to, such as a nursing officer or community health officer.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of colleges is not so good, but hospital infrastructure is well-equipped and maintained. One can gain a lot of knowledge and practice from this environment. Libraries are present, but there is a shortage of books. Wi-fi is not available. The canteen is present with decent-type food.
Faculty: Teachers are good and well-qualified, but there is some shortage of faculty members, which may be fulfilled in the near future, and the campus area is not so big; it has some area as a facade, but it lacks a dedicated playground for sports. Curriculum and clinical duties help in gaining immense knowledge.
Other: It would be better if they provided boys' hostels and a dedicated playground for students for extracurricular activities.

Upskill yourself with new techniques.
Placements: The passing percentage of students is quite good. The average package offered here is around 12-14 LPA, and in most prestigious medical colleges and hospitals like AIIMS and Medanta, the top role that you can expect is that of a nursing officer and, at the rural level, a community health officer.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is well-maintained and conducive to fostering an environment for students to study, but there are no dedicated playgrounds for sports as the campus area is not so large. However, the educational buildings are well-equipped for student study. Currently, Wi-Fi facility is not available.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful and understanding while being well-qualified and knowledgeable. The curriculum that we follow is totally according to INC, so there is no problem with studying something that is totally irrelevant to our course. The semester is quite tough to achieve good marks.
