Review of Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, Bhagalpur.
Placements: You can get into the MBBS course only by clearing the NEET exam. You can apply for NEET after 12th grade. You have to score at least 60% in your 12th. After 4.5 years, there is a mandatory one-year internship. You get a stipend from the Bihar government of Rs. 20,000 per month.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available throughout the campus. Air-conditioners and projectors are available in classrooms. Labs are good and well-equipped. Hostels are good. You can get a single room or a shared room.
Faculty: Our teachers are good and helpful. The teaching quality is good. The teacher-to-student ratio is good. We have at least two semesters every year, which occur on time. Every year, we have to take a university exam.
Other: For those of us who want to be doctors, MBBS is a must. JLNMCH is a leading institute for the same. Our college organises two fests every year, namely UMANG and Saraswati Puja. Umang gives you a chance to showcase your talent.

Our college has a good PG selection ratio, an average hostel, and a good campus life.
Placements: There is no placement in MBBS. You have to pass exams to enter any position. As per our college, seniors who have passed MBBS are taking admissions in central institutes like AIIMS, BHU, etc. It has a good selection ratio at the PG entrance.
Infrastructure: Hostels are provided in the 2nd year or after the first half of the 1st year. Hostels are not new, as this college is too old in 1959. However, now new hostels are being constructed quickly and heavily. One thing that everyone is going to appreciate is the mess food. Normal rice, bread, daal, and seasonal vegetables are available at affordable prices.
Faculty: Our teachers and doctors are excellent. They are always ready to teach their new experiences and the different cases they get in hospitals. The hospital patient influx is what makes this college good. You can see rare to very rare cases on your first day in your ward itself, making it a paradise to practice for becoming a good doctor.
Other: The main problem with our college is that our academic buildings, hospitals, and hostels are all in different places. If you have good companies, you can enjoy them much more.

JLNMCH BHAGALPUR: College with pros and cons.
Placements: It's an MBBS college so getting a job totally depends on students performance in different entrance and competition exams like NEET PG and IICET. Just this year, a student from our college secured AIR 250 IN NEET PG. The paid internship of 1 year is provided in the college hospital itself after final year university results.
Infrastructure: The hostel are quite old. The facilities are good. We get beds, almirahs, tables, chairs, fans, etc. in the girls hostel. Boys hostel has fewer facilities. The game courts are there in boys hostel. There is a study room too. Mess is private so it totally depends on which Mess service you choose.
Faculty: Teachers and facilities are really good. But classes are quite less in higher years. Semesters are difficult as compared to university exams. The curriculum is according to AKTU. The questions are often repeated so it is a bit easier to pass in the semester and university.
Other: I wanted to become a doctor, so I chose this . The best thing about this course is you get to interact with patients. And respect for doctors in the family is high. There is a college foundation day, which is of one week, volleyball, football, cricket, etc., which is only for boys. Scholarships are provided to students who are financially weak.

Review of Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, Bhagapur.
Placements: We have to pass the NEET exam after 12th. My rank was 10,000, and I got admission in this beautiful college. There is a total of 100 students in our batch. The campus is huge, but it is scattered here and there. I will get approximately Rs. 15,000 salary in my internship, but after becoming a doctor, I can earn in lacs.
Infrastructure: Out of 4 boys hostel, 2 hostels are in bad condition. Almost 10 students are residing in a single room. We were not provided with any fans, tables or chairs. We have to arrange on our own. However, the infrastructure is good. There is a mess equipped with a TV. There is one air-conditioned study room with an accommodation capacity of 10 students.
Faculty: In MBBS, the faculty members were good, but the teaching technique schedule was not implemented properly. Faculty members were highly qualified and knowledgeable. Overall, they were good. The main problem is that the teachers don't give the marks properly. They only give pass marks (maximum of 60%).
Other: Only 2 events like Saraswati pooja and CFD (college foundation day) are organised here.

Bhagalpur Medical College - Lot to explore as its a hidden treasure.
Placements: Around 100 students in each batch. About 80% of the students went through to internship there itself and all 80% have got into postgraduate courses across the country in premiere institutes like AIIMS, Jipmer etc. PG courses in the clinical department are available here.
Infrastructure: The medical college and hospital are at somewhat distant locations, but the learning environment is really enjoyable. We have 5 hostels based on the year of study, and all are of good quality with furniture and beds. The Mess specialises in North Indian cuisine, which is delicious. Games like football, cricket, tennis, and badminton are all available.
Faculty: The MBBS course for 5 years is dealt with in detail, along with clinical postings, field visits, and practical sessions. All are qualified faculty with a good level of teaching. Exams are also conducted regularly to motivate students to perform well, and external examiners are called from premiere institutes. Every year, 80 to 90% of students pass.
Other: MBBS has been one course which I wanted to join and lots of struggle has been there. You have cultural fests to bring out various talents in medical students too.
