Our college is average, but they try and help us to improve. Infrastructure is poor.

Placements: Students require to score a minimum of 8 CGPA for placements, and in the first round, only a few are qualified. The minimum salary offered is Rs. 8,000 per month and the maximum salary offered is Rs. 25,000 per month. Top recruiting companies of our college are Kaar Technologies, and most of them are normal companies. Top roles offered to the students are junior engineer, analyst and technician.

You can become an engineer, but with no knowledge about engineering as there are many exams.

Placements: None of the students from our course got placed. In our college, the placements are not yet started. It will take a few more months to start. Some of us have done internships on ICF, Chennai Port. More exams are conducted, but there is less time for practical experience.

Absolutely dissatisfied because of faculty. There were good placements in 2016.

Placements: There were no better placements. Very few companies will be available for placements. The salary offered was Rs. 15,000-25,000 per month. The recruiting companies are Tata Steel, TI, BPOs, etc. The average salary offered for our course was Rs 18,000-40,000 per month. Companies like Royal Enfield, TI, will offer internships.

Good course, bad college to choose.

Placements: The placements were usually from IT companies and not the premier ones like Infosys or wipro or qualcomm. These were majorly call centres and BPOs like sutherland, justdial and companies that offered a measly salary of 12000-15000 a month. We had no internship opportunities and well among the entire 54 students only one was placed and that too in sutherland as a voice process operation engineer.

I would never recommend this college for freshers.

Placements: No placement drives are conducted in our college. Placements provided are zero, and so the packages can't be mentioned. Students can apply for internships on their own as the college doesn't provide it. But, the management claims 100% placements for advertisement and fake publicity.

The placements, faculty and the infrastructure of the college are good.

Placements: When it comes to placements, this college has been in the mid-level, as 6 out of 10 students are only placed every year. Now, several companies established by alumni of JEC are recruiting graduates from here. The lowest salary offered was around Rs. 15,000 per month, and the highest package ranges up to Rs. 50,000 per month. There is a placement cell in the college.

Overall it is a good college to study and learn some good things to aurbive in this environment.

Placements: College is good in personal training but there is no placements for students at that time. There is not too much vacancy on the society and also they are atruggling to place a students on the reputed companies. Some peoples always advice to get ideas about the environment and placement related topics.

Dissatisfied with the college. There are no placements, and the required facilities are good.

Placements: The placements are very bad in our college for us and our senior batch. Only 5% of the students are placed in my batch and my senior batch. The highest salary is 2.5LPA, and the lowest is 1.5 LPA. Hexaware Technologies, Southerland, VEE technologies are the companies which visited the college. No one got the internship from the college, and there is no stipend. There is a placement cell, but it is not efficient and useful.

The college is good and worthy.

Placements: My batch 2012-2016, there are 0% placements for the aeronautical department. From our senior batch, none of them is selected in the placements. They arrange Sutherland placement, but none of them got selected. If you are joining this college, they tell you that they offer 100% placement, but it's a fake advertisement.

Very disappointing and not understanding the students' mentality

Placements: They don't seem to provide placements as they promised. It was said that reputed companies were visiting the campus but that wasn't true. On rare occasions, companies like Jockey and Peter England were visiting our college. But for my department, frequent visits for Loyal Textile made us wonder that at least we got this.

Jaya Engineering. College aka JEC is one of the decent colleges in Chennai but don't expect lot of placements. But, this college is good for Aeronautical and Mechanical Engineering. Faculty is good. Dress code: pure formals (no tie) Best for sports (cricket, volley ball, football, and kabaddi) lot of inter college tournaments will happen in this college because ground is good.

Moderate review: the campus is good, but the management and academics should improve.

Placements: I'm studying in the 3rd year of my course. So, for 3rd years, they didn't give any placements. For final-year students, there are placements available, and they get placed in MNCs and other companies. Students get placed with high packages and good LPA.

Below average, bad infrastructure, worst staff.

Placements: Only 10% of students are getting placement. Rs. 35,000 is the highest salary package given to students. Wipro, Infosys, and Royal Enfield are recruiting companies. About 50% will get internships. Only a few students will get placement, and some of them will have arrears.
