The college life I expected before coming here is becoming a reality.
Placements: In my college, nearly 95% of students are placed, with the highest package being 14.5 Lacs and the average package at 4.5 Lacs. Companies like TCS, Wipro, and HCL are hiring many students. From the teaching side, top companies like Accenture and Deloitte hire between 50 to 100 students.
Infrastructure: Our college has decent infrastructure with separate blocks for different branches. It provides facilities like labs; each branch has its own lab, and every department has a separate department library. The classrooms are nice, equipped with projectors that help students and faculty explain and understand easily.
Faculty: The professors are highly skilled and knowledgeable; they teach us well and clarify our doubts. Every faculty member helps students score well in subjects and provides insights into the outside world and the job market. The semester exams are quite challenging, and most students pass; the pass percentage is approximately 89%.
Other: The main reason for choosing this course is for a software job; my course is IT. The best thing about my course is software and application development. One area that needs improvement in my course is the syllabus, which has not been updated for 20 years but is still being taught. Events and festivals are conducted once a year and last nearly a week. The festivals are attractive and enjoyable. The college surroundings are beautiful, with a nice environment, a big ground, and different courts for sports and other extracurricular activities.

B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering - Batch of 2018

Our college is good, but it is losing its reputation.
Placements: JBIT attracted MNCs such as Amazon, Virtusa, Polaris, Cyient, and many startups which provided placements for both core students and students from other branches. The percentage of selection was completely low compared to the number of companies visiting for placements. Students were offered salary packages ranging from 2 LPA to 6 LPA depending on the role or position. Top roles such as software developer and .net developer were offered.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure for the computer science and engineering course was good. We had a decent computer lab where PCs were in good condition. We didn't have Wi-Fi in the lab. In the boys' hostel, we did not have good hostel facilities. There was no Wi-Fi available on campus. The quality of the food served was not good. The water supply was for only 20 minutes in the morning and evening.
Faculty: Only a few were very talented professors, whereas other professors just stuck to the book knowledge and couldn't clear up doubts when raised by students. Some teachers were short-tempered and lazy. Our curriculum included all languages where we competed with modern world technologies. There were no good professors to teach the latest technologies like ML, AI, and DL. Only a few students who worked after college were industry-ready. One needed to appreciate the exam pattern of JBIT because it prepared quality question papers. The pass percentage was more than 90% in the computer science batch.
Other: I'm a 2014-2018 batch student who graduated in computer science and engineering. I chose CSE because I had options to get jobs both on the core and software side. We had a good library with lots of collections of books. We could spend any amount of time that helps in R&D. JBIT might look into the ability of professors to solve any doubts. Both theoretical and practical, they added the latest technologies to the course. JBIT provided a chance for every student from all courses to participate in fests, events, sports events, etc.

Currently dissatisfied because of the placements but the faculty and facilities are good!
Placements: 60% of the students were placed in our college. The highest package offered was 11 L PA, the lowest package offered was 4 LPA and the average package offered was 6 LPA. The Top Recruiting Companies for our Course are TCS, Amazon, Surya Technologies etc.
Infrastructure: The Wi-Fi connessione is not table and the infrastructure of the classes needs to be improved. The library is very spacious and peaceful. The hostel is very good as it is newly renovated and the food facilities are also excellent. The food in the college canteen is also very good in terms of quality.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful and never hesitate to resolve students doubts. The faculty members always try to be friendly with the students and make sure every student understands the topic clearly. This course helps the students to face the interview questions as it involves subjects like python, Java and all the computer Science related subjects.
Other: I chose this course because I want to work in a software company. I wish there will be more computers in the lab to practice for the students. There will be many events that are conducted annually. There are both technical and cultural events and both will be given equal priority. There will also be a sports fest named AARAMBH in which students from various colleges come and compete. Scholarship will also be provided for the students depending upon their caste and eligibility.
