Placements: The institute is best known for its position in top 100 engineering colleges in India. The placement scenario of the institute is very good because of the prominent recruiters such as OIL, ONGC, Power Grid and BCPL with an annual salary package of 14 LPA. Moreover, companies like TCS, Capgemini, Zaloni, and Tech Mahindra are also the prominent recruiters of this institute.
Placements: The placement scenario of our college is below average as no core company visits the college. However, Oil company and ONGC visit the campus and recruit 4-5 students every year. Other companies are generally from the IT sector. Students usually don't go into core companies, and also the lack of research makes placements in core companies difficult.
Placements: Placements for our batch were average, but both our junior batch and senior batch have seen a series of PSUs like ONGC and Oil India during their placements. Most of the students were placed in IT companies. CSE students have the best placements, and the students of other departments get moderately placed in core companies like L&T, HUL, Ejani etc. The mass recruiters of our college are TCS, Wipro etc.
Placements: The placements to be honest are nice but not adequate, last year TCS recruited few from our college, Zaloni came and recruited some too. This year also the placements have begun and already TCS and Zaloni came again, still a lot of other companies to come. The placement cell is working very hard to bring in more companies every year. Due to fact that our college had great placements during 2012-13 season, we may tend to think that placements have deteriorated but in fact has remained constant, a...
Placements: The placement scenario will be changed every year. Nearly 30%-40% of the students get placed while the rest opt for off-campus placement drives. Now, many students from the mechanical and CSE departments are getting placed when compared to the students of the rest of the departments. Training and placement cell is working hard to improve the placement scenario.
Placements: Mechanical and CSE branch have the highest placements. Some of the packages offered are not that good. Some of the PSUs also come for placements. Almost 30-40% of students got placed. TPC is working hard for bringing good companies to placements. Training and internships are also arranged sometimes. But the placement scenario keeps changing every year.
Placements: Around 20-30% of the students get placed. Placements for the students of all the branches are good. The students of the mechanical and civil departments get placed in Oil companies and PSUs. The students of the computer science department are also offered with some placement opportunities. Some students get placed in low-level companies, and others get placed in reputed companies.
Placements: Placements are higher for mechanical branch compared to other departments. However, the number of students getting a good placement is still very low, that is around 10%. Students usually get placed in oil refineries and automobile companies like Tata Motors or Maruti Suzuki. The average package offered was around Rs. 60,000 per month.
Placements: Placements offered in the college are almost satisfactory. A number of placements are based on departments. Placements are offered by both public and private sectors. Public sector jobs are mostly offered to students from civil, mechanical and instrumentation, while private jobs are offered to CSE and electrical students, based on campus recruitments, GATE scores, AMCAT scores, etc.
Placements: I am a 2nd-year student in Jorhat Engineering College. The batch of this year, 2018, has got many placement opportunities on campus. The largest number of students got placed in various PSU, coaching centres, etc., this year.
Placements: The placement percentage is not very high, but it is usually more when compared with other branches of this college. Some brilliant students are offered good placement opportunities in companies like IOC, TATA Motors, CISCO, and Godrej etc. The placement cell is available in the college.
Placements: About 20%-30% of the students get placed. Students of all the branches are offered good placement opportunities. The students of the mechanical and the civil departments are offered placement opportunities in PSU firms. Even the students of the CSE department are offered a few placement opportunities. Some are offered low salary packages, and some others are offered high packages.
Placements: Placement scenario of the college is good. A lot of companies visit the college for recruitment. PSUs like IOCL, ONGC and Powergrid also visit the college. More than 70% of the students got placed from the college in this session. You can expect a good job from this college given that you are sincere in your studies.
Placements: Placements of JEC are now up to the mark. Last year at least 50% of students were placed in electrical engineering and various other PSUs, whereas many of them cleared GATE. Many of the students also cleared UPSC exams bringing glory to this reputed institute of north east India.
Placements: Placements in the college are good featuring some of the renowned MNCs and companies like Oil India Pvt Ltd. Our seniors got some pretty decent jobs, and most of them are in prestigious positions in their respective engaged organisation. The TPO cell is very much active and tries to bring in as many clients as possible.
Placements: Placements in the college are quite good. Placements for our senior batch students were good, and they have increased over the last few years. Around 50% to 60% of the students get placed and quite good roles are offered during placements. There is a placement cell in our college, and it is really useful.
Placements: Placements of our senior batches are good. Most of the students were placed. Students are even offered internships. Placements of the college are good, and the teachers are friendly. The professors here are knowledgeable, the placement cell for the mechanical department is good. Almost 60% of the students get placed. Moreover, internship opportunities provided by the college are good.
Placements: Every year, 2 PSUs visit our college and recruit around 15-20 students on an average from that batch. They offer a package of 17 LPA. Moreover, various IT and core sector companies also visit the campus, and they offer packages from 3 LPA to 7 LPA. The placements are average overall. If you're doing good in your academics, then you can surely secure a job in the campus placements. But there's a rule of 'one person one job', so sometimes luck can overrule calibre if package offered by the company...
Placements: Placements in our college are good. More than 45% of the mechanical students got placed on campus last year. Highly reputed companies like Oil India Limited, Cummins, Hindustan Unilever, Dabur, ITC, TCS, Wipro, etc., recruited the students from our college. These companies offer high packages. Almost every student got an internship from the college. We did internships in various industries like IOCL, ONGC, Thermal Power Plant, Railways, IIT etc. Some of us also got selected for internships abroa...
Placements: The placements were a major disappointment. The college promised placements worth 3.5-4lpa before joining, but the real scenario was drastically different. Although one of the students got a 12lpa in power grid, and one ,7lpa in Indian oil, and few 2-3 LPA in it sector, a major chunk of the batch remained unplaced.
