Good place to study. Classes are regular. Need to improve infrastructure.

Placements: Placement have been getting better. According to source getting from the seniors, hardly 10 to 15 students gets placed out of 90 students through the campus place in last some years. But this year already 30+ students gets placed till now in companies like ITC, oil, godrej etc.

Dissatisfied because of faculty regarding electrical Branch. Placement was good upto 2010.

Placements: It was good till 2010 but now it become too less and every year. OIL came last year ie 2017. Last year only 3 4 to 4 student get placed from electrical Branch. And in computer branch it good enough regarding placement., and electrical instrumentation and in mechanical branch its average but in civil branch, there is no placement.

A reputed college in assam.

Placements: Our seniors and batchmates have been placed in companies like ITC, Dabur, Godrej, Hindustan Unilever, Oil India Ltd, Cummins, TCS, etc. The salary offered was good, though the number of students placed is a little low. We have our own training and placement cell that looks after the placement of the students and also ensure internships and training required as per our degree curriculum.

This is the best college to get engineering degree in Assam if you haven't qualified IIT or NIT.

Placements: The placements in our college, out of 100 students from a batch, three students got placed at Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL), three students at CUMMINS, three at Zolacode IT SOLUTIONS, and two at GODREJ AND BOYCE MFG CO. LTD, and two more students are in waiting list category at Godrej only. Few more companies are expected to come like OIL, Coal India Limited, Eveready Industries, ITC Limited in recent months. The placement rate is currently 11 % and is expected to rise to 25% this year. The ...

One of the best engineering colleges of Assam & also the best infrastructure.

Placements: The placements of Jorhat Engineering College were awesome up to 2011. From our mechanical branch, 80% students got placed in reputed PSUs & private companies. Now campus placement is also good as compared to other engineering colleges of Assam. More than 30% students got placed from our senior batch.

The college is good but I'll not say it is the best one.

Placements: Until 2012 the placement was too good, but after that the placement became poor, and again after passing out from such a reputed college also, no government and private company gave us a right value. They just took us equally with other private institutes and counted the percentage equally.

The faculty is good but dissatisfied with the placements.

Placements: The placement of JEC is not satisfactory. Last year(2016) only 4 or 5 companies visited Jorhat Engineering College. The companies like Dalmia cement, Zebronics, Godrej, Dabur, etc., visited the campus. In Dalmia cement, they only offered sales executive posts. The average salary was about 20k per month. Assam Oil also visited the campus last year. Only 4 students were selected with an average salary of 50k per month.

Awesome college for me with best facility.

Placements: The placements are good, and I got placed in TCS. Mostly, all PSU and non-PSU placement are happening in college, and if someone is seeking a job after college, you could think of it. Placement and job opportunities are average. It changes from year to year and depends on the capability and activeness of the "Training and Placement Cell" in the college. Various government PSUs (like ONGC, NRL etc.), had also conducted campus interviews in our college during my tenure. Furthermore, software giant...

Reputed engineering college in Assam with high class facilities and very low fee structure

Placements: There are good placements. The highest package is 12 lacs, Lowest 3.3 lacs. Companies: Godrej, ONGC, IOC, HPCL, Capgemini, TCS, IBM, Posco, L&T, Accenture, BCPL, Megha Engineering, etc. The roles are in core engineering, services, IT, construction, etc. Pool campus drives were also held by Microsoft Inc. in 2012. The college has a training and placement cell headed by a professor. The alumni association also helps students in the placement process.

College is boring because of the teachers and the environment

Placements: The percentage of placement in my college is low. The highest salary is around 18 lakhs per annum, the average is around 4 lakhs per annum and the lowest is around 18000 per month. The companies that have visited are Oil India limited, Godrej, Dalmia, Wipro, Eveready, etc. In placements of my senior batch, only 4 people were selected. The percentage of the internship is very low.

Though prestigious, I would not recommend this institute.

Placements: The placements are average. Average, as in, a couple of good companies come for placements but not many. For the civil engineering branch, companies like ONGC, OIL, etc. came for the placements in our batch. The senior batch also saw some very good companies like L&T, BCPL, etc.

Excellent college and the best experience.

Placements: Considering the overall job scenario, the placement of our senior batch was quite good. Around 95% of the students got placed. Last year, the highest salary was provided by PGCIL at 11 lakhs per annum followed by OIL at around 7.2 lakhs per annum. The average salary was 3.5 LPA and the lowest was 2.5 LPA. Besides private companies like Wipro, Dalmia, Miami, Dabur, Eveready etc., big PSUs like OIL, PGCIL etc. came. The percentage of students who got internships from the college is 100%. ...

Enjoy four years of your life in Jorhat Engineering College.

Placements: Placement is not so good. In our batch, approximately 20% got placed. Every year 20-30 % got placed. Most of them are placed in service based companies. Companies like TCS, Tech Mahindra, Wipro, Zaloni, etc. visited every year. Sometimes PSUs like Power Grid, Oil and ONGC also visited the campus. The salary offered by the service based companies are approximately 3-4 LPA.

I have studied civil engineering there. Classes are interactive in nature and classes are conducted as per schedule, faculty of civil dept. is also good and overall, faculty of other departments are good too. Class test and other exams are conducted time to time and the also its very economical. We had to pay less than 50,000 to the institute in 4 years degree course. Infrastructure is not that good and also labs lack proper instruments. Placement is very poor and there is lack of hostel facilit...

Its faculty is good as the members are knowledgeable and experienced. The only low point about this college is infrastructure. Though, recently a lot of improvements have been achieved in this regard with the funds received from Government of Assam. It has recently become a wi-fi enabled campus. Hostel accommodation is available and hostels are quite good.

It is an AICTE approved college which is under the government of Assam. It is a college with modern lab facilities. It also has projectors and other audio visual system in its classrooms. It ranks 98 among top 100 colleges in India. The faculties of this college are good. This college is good in terms of fees as its per semester admission fee is only Rs. 4000-5000 which is very less in comparison to other engineering colleges.

NITKKR is one of the best colleges for computer science branch or for any course in this institution. About 50+ companies recruit for C.S. every year. The package varies from rupees 5-25 lakhs. In other branches, the competition is high. For M.tech, this college is not so good as compared to its B.tech counterpart, but you will get enough time to prepare for PSUs. The labs are available for all hours for post graduate students.

Although it's a government college of Assam, but its education level is like IIT only.

Placements: Companies offer an average package of Rs 20 to 30 Lacs per annum for students who have topped at the university level.
