Placement Cell Effectiveness for BE/BTech Courses at Kakinada Institute of Engineering and Technology

Based on student reviews, here's an overview of the effectiveness of the placement cell at Kakinada Institute of Engineering and Technology:

    * Limited Placement Opportunities: Many students reported that only 5-6 companies visit the campus for placements, offering relatively lower salaries (average Rs. 10,000 - 18,000 per month).
    * Lack of Clear Communication: Students felt that the placement cell doesn't provide adequate information about companies and interview processes, leading to uncertainty and confusion.

Good for the study and other activities.
Placements: Placed in campus recruitment drives. The highest salary package: The highest salary package offered is 8.5 LPA. Average salary package: The average salary package offered is 3.7 LPA. Top recruiting companies: Some of the top companies that visit the college include Accenture, Miracle, and Inry.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is good and nice. This college has 4 blocks. These 4 blocks look parallel and full greenery, a good look for the college. And labs are available and classrooms are good and each class has a projector. A library is also available. Mess food is good with non-veg three times a week. Medical facilities are also good. Sports and games are available.
Faculty: If there is a student with an average knowledge level, they will also try to place them with the help of faculty members. Teachers here are well-qualified, and they helped us learn new things. Dislikes: The college offers good courses but faculty members are not good.
Other: Coding hubs in this college are helpful for beginners.

A review about Kakinada Institute of Engineering and Technology.
Placements: I am an AIDS student. Actually, in our college, we have only CSE courses with emerging technology courses, meaning we have CSE, AIDS, AIML, AI, Data Science, and Cyber Security. Our batch is the 1st batch to pass out. Regarding these courses, only two MNC companies came: Accenture, where 10 members were placed, and Miracle Solutions, where 50 members were placed. Our whole strength is 900 members. We all come under the CSE group, so we have common placements. The highest package was 6 lakhs, and the lowest was 3.5 per annum. Accenture is the top company. In our college, every student gets the opportunity for an internship as we have a tie-up with IIIT Hyderabad Research Centre. Almost every student did their internship there. Python developer role is a common position offered.
Infrastructure: From my side, I can’t say it’s too bad or too good. It’s okay, I can say. We shouldn’t expect too much luxury, right? We have Wi-Fi facilities, good classroom facilities, and a library, but we don’t have proper labs. In my four years, I didn’t attend any lab. Regarding the canteen, it’s the worst. We don’t have proper food in the canteen, only chips are available. That’s it. Hostel food is also average. We have medical facilities. Our college is famous for games. If we have talent in different games, we can use our college resources and grow in games.
Faculty: We don’t have enough faculty, and those we have are not up to the mark. Mostly, in our college, we study by ourselves and explain to our juniors. It may sound weird, but it helps us develop communication skills, build confidence, and overcome stage fear. I think we have to learn deeply by ourselves so that we are ready for the industry. Through the course, we learn many things, but self-study helps us prepare better. Exams are not very difficult. We are given PDFs and other materials, so we can read and pass. There is no need to panic about exams.
Other: I was interested in AI, so I chose this course; it’s something interesting. If practical knowledge were also included, it would be more helpful for students to learn. We have lots of events in our college. Whatever enjoyment we want, we have that here. We have events, games, NCC, NSS, army, navy, and much more. However, we should be able to balance our academics as we don’t have proper faculty.

This college is very good for women, fully secured for women. The campus is clean and green.
Placements: There are very few placements. Don't join here for placements. Here, there are no proper placements. For mechanical, there are no placements. In my college, very few companies are coming for recruiting and very few are coming, that too IT companies are coming, and we did not get any internships.
Infrastructure: College atmosphere and climate are awesome; they conduct fests, celebrations, celebrity meets, flash mobs, etc. Hostel is also good but a little expensive, and it's like fully protective, especially for women, and there is proper security. The security personnel have more power.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, but there is no proper faculty available. It does not make students industry-ready. The way of conducting exams is strict and genuine. They don't encourage any fraud and are more helpful to students. They will each and every student and have a friendly nature.
Other: My course is one of the best courses, but in our campus, there are no placements at all. But labs are good, and many labs are there. Placements need more improvement. College surroundings are very clean and green; it is a very peaceful place. They conduct many fests and cultural activities.

College is much satisfying because faculty, good placements, and infrastructure are good.
Placements: College placement is good. They get companies like Accenture, Inry, Avya, and many more. They have collaborated with IIIT Hyderabad, so students are getting internship opportunities from there. After that, IIIT H is providing full-time opportunities as well. Overall, it was good.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is good. In present times, they have developed the infrastructure very well. The college has a robotics lab, Khub, SCB, and many more. All the classrooms are well-furnished. The hostel is good, and the food is also nice. In college, there are NCC, NSS, and medical facilities available.
Faculty: Teachers in this college are very helpful and highly qualified. Their teaching is very good. All the teachers are friendly, and they help the students in all aspects. They encourage the students. The course curriculum is good. Semester exams are not that difficult; if you learn the subject, it will be easy for you, and the pass percentage is above 70.
Other: I am a 2024 pass-out, and my branch is Artificial Intelligence and Data Science. Overall, my college life is good, and the events, fests, and everything were enjoyable.

Our college has good infrastructure and great facilities for students to learn new skills.
Placements: Out of 100 students, around 30 students got placed this year. The highest salary package offered is 8.5 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 3.6 LPA this year. Accenture and INRY are top recruiting companies. INRY provides the highest salary package of the year. Top roles offered are development associate and BDA.
Infrastructure: Facilities that are provided for our course are Wi-Fi, labs, digital classrooms, and a library. The quality of the food is quite good. Medical facilities are available 24X7 in the hostel. A sports meet is always conducted every year in our college.
Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified and knowledgeable. They teach very well and everyone understands the lecture of the faculty. The curriculum is very relevant and makes students ready for the industry. The difficulty level of exams is average. The pass percentage is 75%.
Other: The course that I learned is quite interesting. It is very good in the future as well.

    A college with minimum faculty.
Placements: In my college, more than 120 members were placed last year. In my course, Data Science, the highest package was 10 LPA and the lowest was 3 LPA. At least 400 members from our college get placed in internships every year. Our college doesn't offer top roles, but it's okay.
Infrastructure: Our college is good with well-developed infrastructure, offering facilities like Wi-Fi. Each department has its own labs, and the classrooms are decent with amenities like drinking water and fans. The hostel in our college has additional facilities such as clean washrooms and availability of mineral, cool, and hot water. Sports are highly encouraged in our college.
Faculty: Yes, the teachers in my college are helpful in enhancing students' knowledge. They are qualified with M.Tech and Ph.D. The course curriculum is also good and prepares students for the industry. Exams are held every 5-6 months, and while they can be difficult to pass, the teachers provide assistance to help us succeed.
Other: I chose Data Science, which is an emerging course in Computer Science. I chose this course because I have an interest in Data Science. Our college is known for its events and fests. Scholarships are also available in my college such as JVD and Dhevina.
