Kamala Nehru College, University of Delhi Scholarships and Funding
College has instituted two trophies to honor multi talented students to excel in
academics as well as extra curricular activities.
a. All Rounder Student (Rs 5000 including Trophy )
b. Most Talented Student (Rs 5000 including Trophy)
Students scoring highest marks in all fifteen undergraduate courses, six
postgraduate courses and three French language courses are also honored with
medals, cash prize and certificates
1. On annual Gorowara Memorial lecture day scholarships instituted by family of
founder Principal Late Dr. K K Gorowara are given to following students
a. K.K Gorowara memorial prize for Best All Rounder of the Year (Rs 1000)
b. Scholarship for the most deserving student from an economically challenged
background. (Rs 3000)
c. Prize for creative writing in English (Rs 1000)
2. Other sponsored prizes and scholarships instituted by some of the present and
retired staff members in various courses are also distributed on Gorowara
memorial lecture day

Placements: Students with great skill sets get placements. Last year in 2023, the salary package was 4.8 LPA approximately. The top recruiting companies were Ernst & Young, Google, KPMG, Wipro, Zomato, IBM, etc. Students also get opportunities for internships paid and unpaid.
Placements: I don't have much idea about packages, but they have internship or placement opportunities in Journalism, Photography, and Media Advertising. There are lots of advertising companies, and also, there are lots of freelancing opportunities available for students.
Placements: Since it's a Delhi University college, placements are only 0-3%. In my course, there are no direct job opportunities, leading to almost zero placements. The college does have a placement cell that informs students about internships and job opportunities from time to time.
Placements: B.A. Programme started after New Education Policy 2020. The average package is offered to the students for placements. My course is very good for philosophy and sociology departments. B.A. Programme is comparatively tougher than Hons courses because we have to study 2 subjects.
Placements: I'm a 3rd year student, and I saw many students get hired and now working in top positions. I'm hoping to get the same opportunity. Every year many companies come here to hire, and 70% of students get hired every year. When the event starts, it feels like it's a job fair. The college administration makes sure that not a single student misses this opportunity, and to confirm it, they spread an excel sheet to all the departments. Placements: Sociology is one of the best courses related to everyday life. About 30-35 percent of students have been placed in this course. The highest package was 44 LPA and the lowest was 12 LPA. About 40 percent of students got internships in this course. This course is very useful for UPSC purposes.
