KIMS, the heaven for North Karnataka.
Placements: This is an MBBS degree. Every year, about 200 students get admission to this college. The average package is around 1 lakh. We get paid during the internship about 35 to 45k per month. We got the seat through NEET, which is one of the most difficult exams in India.
Infrastructure: Faculty members are top lecturers. The college has all specialties, such as practical labs and classrooms. The hostel costs about 4000 per month. Hostel food is good and well-maintained. We have OPD, IPD, emergency wards, and many more healthcare services available 24 hours a day.
Faculty: The faculty is available with top lecturers and educators. There are about three internals per year and a final exam. To get eligibility for the final exams, we have to pass at least two internal exams. For final exams, we have to score at least 50% to pass. If not, a supplementary exam should be written.
Other: My goal was to become a doctor. After two continuous years of hard work (1st and 2nd PU), I got selected and got a seat in this college.

Karnataka Medical College and Research Institute - A Review.
Placements: It's a medical college, we don't have placements here. However, most of the people who study here don't have any difficulty in landing a job. Pass outs from KIMS do get excellent ranks in PG because of the clinical exposure we get as a result of surplus patient loads.
Infrastructure: All the departments are well-equipped with necessary equipment and staff in adequate numbers. The best part about clinical postings is the number of patients, as it’s a higher centre for many nearby districts like Gadag, Raichur, Yadgir, Haveri, and many others. So, we have a number of patients at any time, and you get to learn a lot.
Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified, experienced, but in the medical branch, it entirely depends on your work, as it's a vast and unending branch. About exams – internal exams are slightly taken, but it matters because everything adds up to your final exam eligibility. About finals, it’s a nightmare because, though you study every day, the cramming before the day of the exam will never end.
Other: Why I chose this course – I don't think I have to answer this, medicine, you know why. Improvement – The medical branch is a 5-year course, where your life gets hectic at each step, but you will eventually learn to cope with it. KMCRI Hubli is one such college, unlike others where extracurricular activities happen in an awesome way, a number of fests, intra and intercollegiate.

Review of Karnataka Institute of Medical Science, Hubli.
Placements: 200 students get admitted every year, but out of them, so get backed off. About 98% of people graduate and become doctors, but only a few get PG seats on the first attempt of NEET PG. We have to do a compulsory one-year internship at our hospital, and we get a stipend as fixed by the government.
Infrastructure: There are no Wi-Fi facilities in the hostels, and network coverage in the hospital and college premises is low. Hostels and food are average, and there is a canteen where we get only South Indian dishes. Our hospital is quite old but very affordable for the poor with required medical equipment for good treatment.
Faculty: Some teachers are friendly and teach awesomely, but some teach for job's sake. They use PPT for classes, but when it comes to practical and clinical postings, we have got ample resources. Teachers in clinical settings teach a lot of things that are necessary to be a good clinician.
Other: I chose this course and college because it is one of the reputed colleges of Karnataka, and also here we have a very beautiful campus. We students enjoy fests and sports held in our college.

Overall, the college is good, with a good campus and excellent faculty members.
Placements: There are no placements as such in MBBS. After 4 years of MBBS, you will be an intern in the same hospital with a salary of INR 30,000 per month. You will be posted in every department during the internship, which will be very hectic because it is a government hospital and the patient loads will be immense.
Infrastructure: Since it is one of the oldest colleges in all labs, classrooms are being developed. There is also new ground being built. There is a nice scope in sports. There is already one sports complex built with a newly renovated badminton court, as well as a gym and table tennis court. There is a college gym only for KIMS students.
Faculty: It is one of the top medical colleges in Karnataka, and the teachers are all from the best institutes in the nation. There are no compromises in teaching and some of the top ranks in NEET PG are from institutes of medical sciences because the patient load is immense and there is a wide variety of diseases being thought of in the hospital itself.
Other: Every year, there will be a student association formed that conducts various events in the college. There is a kannada habba every year, which includes both sports and cultural events. There is also an intercollege fest conducted once every two years and an intracollege fest held every year. Also, there are many scholarships available since it is a government college.

Extremely good teaching faculty members and good environment.
Placements: Our batch of 2022 consists of 200 students. In internships, our college gives 30000 rupees. Our college has its own hospital, multi-specialty hospital, and mortuary. The hospital has 2 OPDs and 1 IPD and has the biggest cancer specialty. The MBBS college is under RGUHS authority.
Infrastructure: Each year, students have their own hostel. And each hostel has its own mess and manager. The food is nice, both from the perspective of North Indian and South Indian students. Our hostel is near a hospital, so any kind of medical service is completed properly.
Faculty: At the end of each respective year, university exams are conducted. Before that, three internal exams were also conducted for preparation. And in each internal exam, theory papers and viva vice are held. These help boost our performance. Nearly the pass percentage is 96%.
Other: In my opinion, I joined the MBBS course because I want to engage in social welfare work, and I will succeed in my dream through college when I pass out in 2027.

Good college with lush green infrastructure and good patient exposure.
Placements: In the medical college, there are no placements. PG seats are allocated based on your rank in NEET PG, with Radiology being the top branch. Students in internships are paid around 30,000 monthly. Top roles after PG include Radiologist and Chief Medical Officer. Every student must pass the final year to be eligible for the internship.
Infrastructure: There is a spacious library with good ventilation . Various new labs have been established (SKILL Labs). Classrooms are a bit old in the main building . In the hospital building, classrooms are well built with AC ventilation . Hostels for 2 and 3rd year are not old . 1st and final year hostels are good . The quality of food is really good and variety of food is given every day. Sports complex is well built .
Faculty: Teachers are well qualified and have vast years of experience . Teachers have good experience in clinical departments. Course curriculum is relevant and more helpful in creating our academics and future clinical practice . Semester exams are easy to moderate . Pass percentage is around 40% with a minimum 70 marks in theory .
Other: SSP Scholarship is given to everyone . Every year, vast extracurricular activities are conducted so students are involved . Exposure to patients in the vast majority of cases . Campus is very vast compared to students and is well organised .
