Kashi Institute of Technology was established in 2008 and is located in Varanasi. It is a private institution that is affiliated to Dr Abdul Kalam Technical University . It has a 12 year experience of academic excellence, and offers holistic education to students. It has also been awarded Grade A Accreditation by NAAC. The institute offers various undergraduate and post graduate level courses, and admission into these courses is based on the entrance exam of the particular course. Such as admission to B.Tech and B.Pharm is done on the basis of JEE Main, MBA programme seats are filled on the basis of CAT/MAT/KMET etc. Thus a 60% score in Class 12th is a good score, but it ultimately depends on the specific admission requirements and criteria set by the institute.

Common Univeristy Entrance Test (CUET) result is released by National Testing Agency. CUET syllabus is divided into three sections viz., Languages, Domain Subject and General Test. CUET language section assesses candidate through reading comprehension (factual, literary, and narrative), literary aptitude and vocabulary. CUET syllabus second section- domain subject assesses the candidate's in depth knowledge on the subject he/she has opted for. Candidates with a rank less than the closing rank so released are eligible to get admission to the BTech courses offered at KIT Varanasi.
