Kumaraguru College of Technology Scholarships and Funding
KCT offers the following scholarships for various categories based on merit.
1. Category - Cut-Off Marks:
First-Year Students admitted through Single Window counseling with the highest Cut-Off in each program would be given a Tuition Fee waiver during the first year, subject to a minimum Cut-Off of 190 / 200. The number of Scholarships in each
program depends on the number of divisions in each program. There will be one Scholarship for every division.
2. Centum Score:
First year students admitted through Single Window Counselling with Centum in Maths would be given a Tuition Fee waiver during the first year.
3. Rural students:
Toppers from Rural Schools admitted through Single Window Counselling would be offered Tuition Fee waivers during the first year subject to a minimum Cut-Off of 180 / 200. The students should submit a certificate from the Head Master of the school to confirm his rank.
4. Other State Students:
Top TEN rank holders of any State or CBSE at the Plus Two or equivalent level would be offered Tuition Fee waiver in the 1st year and also Hostel Fee waiver. These students would be admitted under Management Quota.
Sports Scholarships
Awarded to students with an outstanding record in sports. Typically, students who have participated in National and International level competitions conducted by accredited Sports Boards are eligible for these scholarships. These students would be admitted under Management Quota.
Scholarship for Physically Challenged, Transgender, etc is a special scholarship.
Note: The scholarship would continue to senior students subject to the students maintaining a minimum CGPA of 8.50.

Placements: Around 90% of students got placed from this course. Top recruiters include Shahi Export, Voltas, Decathlon, LMW, Ramco, and Himatsingha. The average salary package offered is around 5 LPA. More than 90% of students secured internships from this course. From second year onwards we have industrial visits.
Placements: I am studying in my first year in Mechatronics Engineering. As my seniors said, internships are provided to almost every student. The average package is about 6LPA. Almost 80% of students are getting placed in the past years. Many multinational companies do visit our college.
Placements: Yearly 95% of studeare being placed. Packeges starts from 6lpa to 10lpa. TCS, accenture are the top recruiting companies. Students get internships in various companies. Students can also offer paid internships through themselves and earn credit according to the job.
Placements: Core placements are decent but IT placements are good. The highest salary package offered is 25 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 4 LPA. Around 75-80% of students get placed in the mechatronics engineering department.
Placements: The placements provided by the college were very good and satisfied. The placements training program began from the third year onwards. Students can opt for both the IT services or core placements. Top recruiting companies are HP, Zoho, Schneider Electric, etc.
Placements: Kumaraguru College of Technology is one of the best engineering colleges in Coimbatore. This college conducts more than 15 campus interviews every year. This college placement training team brought Teach Mahindra, Tata Motors, Reliance, TVS, Royal Enfield, Hyundai, and Texmo companies for these college campus interviews. 95 percent of students placed in 2021 passed out batch. Salary packages are INR 2-10 LPA.
