Lady Shri Ram College for Women. The magic to our life.
Placements: Around 70% - 80% of students are placed in my course. The highest salary package is 18 LPA. The average salary package offered ranges from 7 LPA - 8 LPA and the lowest salary package offered is 6 LPA. Top recruiting companies in my course are Deloitte, EY, Axis Bank, ZS Associates, Wipro, Teach for India, and many more. About 50%-70% of students got internships in various companies. Top roles include data analyst, business analyst, software developer, research analyst, etc.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure available for my department are adequate, but the Wi-Fi network is poor sometimes. Classrooms are digital and equipped with projectors, with available seats and tables. Labs have more laptops than number of students, so there is no difficulty in accessing them. The library is also digital, making it easy for students to search for the books they need. This year, in 2024, the hostel is undergoing renovation and will be much better than previous years. Hostel facilities are good, and the quality of food is top-notch. The mess and canteen are super hygienic. Medical facilities are also good, with medical staff always available, and medicines are provided. LSR bathrooms also have pad vending machines, which is very convenient, especially because it is a women’s college. Sports and games are highly active, and all the essential equipment for sports and games is available. The playground and basketball court are quite big.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. They are all PhD degree holders from top institutions in our country. Teaching quality is excellent. Course curriculum is relevant and makes students industry-ready. Semester exams in the college depend on the student's level of hard work. If students are studying sincerely, it is quite easy, but if the student is not, it might be hard. The pass percentage is 63%.
Other: I chose this course because I am passionate about problem-solving and analyzing. The best thing about my course is the research opportunities. Everything is perfect, with no need for improvement. Events and fests are the best things at LSR. They are colorful and vibrant, bringing joy to both students and faculty. Surroundings are green and fresh, and it can also be termed a biological garden. Scholarships at LSR depend on the department and the type of scholarship they provide. Extracurricular activities are given separate time, which is very good. Extracurricular activities at LSR are very active, depending on the types of activities.

    A wholesome experience though hectic!
Placements: Almost 70-80 percent students got placed, the number is comparatively less this year due to recession period. The highest package was INR 49 LPA from our department. It has its own placement cell. The top recruiters are Blackrock, EY, Deloitte etc. The average package is INR 10 LPA.
Infrastructure: For Statistics basically, we have one Statistics lab which middle sized. The faculty is good. There is Wi-Fi in the library and around the campus. I feel like DU has too much theoretical knowledge rather than practical. Hostel was available only for first year students but at our time, some renovation was going on. Canteen food is quite good at reasonable prices.
Faculty: The faculty is fine. The curriculum, according to me, is more theoretical. It should include more practical based knowledge. I believe that the timings are hectic, from early 8.45 to evening 5.30. It can be more productive the classes are scheduled properly.

Maths H in LSR, yes or no?
Placements: Even though a select few students from the course get placed (not for paucity of opportunities but because of high competition), the placements offered are very high in value. We have the highest placement in all of Delhi University. The highest package offered overall, ever, is from my course (BlackStone, around 47 Lacs per annum). The lowest, of course, scales down to 6 Lacs packages. The average is around 10-11 Lacs. The top recruiting companies for my course are Blackrock, Blackstone, HUL, McKinsey, etc. We also get internship opportunities from the same companies, if not more. Top roles offered in my course are Business Analyst, Data Science Intern, etc.
Infrastructure: We do not have the best infrastructure. Our labs are too outdated to support any software better than Maxima (so no Matlab or Mathematics), and as an arts college, the Science courses do not receive much funding or the same opportunities. The quality of the food in the canteen is decent.
Faculty: The teachers are extremely helpful and dedicated to our learning. They are more than qualified for the post and know their subjects very well. With an especially tricky subject like Math, they are patient and hear us out if we need retests or assignments in internals and so on. The course curriculum can sometimes feel irrelevant for a person who wants to enter the finance world, but if you like Maths (which I do) and are happy with Economics as a minor, then the exams and the course as a whole are bearable. The semesters do get tougher as time goes on, but that is to be expected in a course like Maths.
Other: The fest is smaller compared to other colleges, but it's safe.

    I completely satisfied in LSR.
Placements: This course has many students who have been placed in many companies. The average package is 6 LPA and the highest is around 36 LPA. Topmost companies that visit the college are Blackrock, De Shaw, Boston, MacKenzie, etc. The top roles are data analyst, data scientist, etc.
Infrastructure: The facilities provided by the LSR college are good enough. The infrastructure of the college is nice. Labs and classrooms are ventilated. I like the library and the reference section. Sometimes Wi-Fi does not work at some places in the college. I didn't get the hostel but I have heard the quality of food in the mess and the canteen is pretty nice. There are medical facilities available. Sports and games are also organized in the college.
Faculty: The teachers are so helpful, qualified and knowledgeable. Their method of explanation is so simple. In semester exams, every subject has different difficulty level, some are average while some are tough. Most of the students pass in the semester exams.
Other: I chose this course because I like analytical skills. The best thing in our course is that it needs analytical skills instead of learning. One thing I want to wish to improve in our course is that its course curriculum should be lesser as it looks so bulky sometimes. There are scholarships in LSR and a lot of college societies are there where students can join and perform extracurricular activities.

It is a very good college for students.
Placements: Almost 90% of students got placed in our course. There were many opportunities and we can easily get jobs. Top recruiting companies were Barkley's, PWC, and Bank of Scotland. Around 90% of students got internships in reputed companies. Top roles offered were data analyst, researcher, and lecturer.
Infrastructure: Facilities like laboratory and classrooms were well-maintained. Our campus was Wi-Fi enabled. The library was good with proper lights, and several books were available. Hostel facilities were good. The food served in the canteen was good. Medical facilities were great. Sports and games were available in our college.
Faculty: Our teachers were very helpful, well-qualified, and knowledgeable. The teaching quality was good. Our course curriculum was relevant, and it made students industry-ready. Semester exams were hard. If we study properly then we can score good marks. The pass percentage was 45%.
Other: I chose this course because of placements. The best thing about our course was that students could acquire technical knowledge and easily get jobs in top companies. Our campus crowd was normal, and our campus was surrounded by trees. Extracurricular activities were conducted in our college.

I am satisfied with the best placements.
Placements: Placements in our college are appreciable. Around 59% of students get placed in the top recruiting companies such as Brain, Gartner, BCG, Praxis, Bank of America, McKinsey, Deloitte, Accenture, LEK, and many more. Many roles offered are a data analyst, associate consultant, and business development executive. The salary packages range from 6 to 40 LPA. Internships are provided by the placement cell. Many students receive pre-placement offers.
Infrastructure: Our college is a government college. It has praiseworthy facilities with lush green lawns, well-ventilated classrooms, comfortable chairs, and Wi-Fi. We have a huge library with a wide range of books for every subject. Hostel facilities are provided for the 1st-year students. Hostels have spacious rooms. Mess food is good. Our college provides medical facilities, NSO, NSS, and NCC with beautiful infrastructure and big beautiful lawns.
Faculty: Teachers are the best and motivate students to excel in their subjects. Semester exams are a bit difficult, but the notes provided by teachers are enough to gain good marks.
Other: I chose this course as it is mainly about practical knowledge of data collection and its analysis for which we were taught different statistical languages which help in gaining practical knowledge of the subject. Our college conducts various events regularly, like festivals, fests, some workshops, and events. Our college provides the best exposure to different opportunities. It is one of the top colleges of Delhi University.
