Effectiveness of Placement Cell for B.Sc. Programs

The course is relatively outdated. Classes are uninspiring and counterproductive.
Placements: Expecting good feasible jobs straight out of B.A. is a bit of a stretch. There are tons of content and freelancing gigs available around the city, but they are not what you'd want to be doing full time. Regardless, there are not many placement scenes from college.
Infrastructure: So the B.A. Department is in the basement. This comes off as a little dubious and begs the question, why the basement, do we Arts students not deserve regular classrooms above sea level? It is best not to grieve yourself over this. Basements are cooler in summers. If you're a journalism student primarily, you will be disappointed by the lab and just the department in general.
Faculty: The course is relatively outdated. But Ramaiah cannot do anything about it as it is merely affiliated to BCU (previously BU). Whether you will learn anything depends on you. Teachers are mediocre and propagators of mediocrity. Classes are uninspiring and many times, counterproductive. Especially if you want to join the media industry, you will have to work towards your goals on your own.
Other: It isn't the worst college out there (neither is it even nearly the best), because even though academia will disappoint you, Bangalore mostly won't. Plus, Ramaiah is pretty chill, in the sense that attendance becomes a joke later on, regular college days are short, and lifestyle is peaceful. If you are ambitious, do not come here.

Faculty members here are encouraging and supportive.
Placements: Placements are always conducted here. Various companies also visited here, but they usually interviewed BA students for namesake. They mainly hired B.Com, B.Sc and BBA students. After graduation, I got a job as a sub-editor in a market research firm.
Infrastructure: Our college provided all the facilities required for the course. There were projector rooms, labs and instruments to conduct the experiments. Recently they started a media lab where students are mainly taught about the practical applications of everything related to journalism. I did not stay in the hostel, so I don't know about it.
Faculty: Faculty members here are very supportive and encouraging. They encourage you to be the best version of yourself. The syllabus given by Bangalore University for the course is outdated. You will either already know what some of the topics are about, and the rest is just useless.
