Q:   What to do after JEE Main session 2 result?

A:

Candidates preparing for IITs are only required to appear for the JEE Advanced entrance exam after qualifying JEE Main. Students who who secure above the 98th percentile in JEE Main 2024 Session 2 should start preparing for JEE Advanced 2025 immediately. Those who score between 95th and 98th percentile should focus on improving their JEE Main score by taking multiple mock tests and practicing previous year's question papers. By analysing their strengths and weaknesses, candidates can identify their areas of proficiency and topics where they need improvement. If they can achieve full marks in their practice sessions, they can start preparing for JEE Advanced. However, if they cannot score full marks, it is recommended that they appear for multiple mock test series for more practice.

Q:   Question: How is the course curriculum for B.E. / B.Tech at Maharaja Surajmal Institute of Technology?

A:
{Source: B.E. / B.Tech students & alumni}

Course Curriculum

* The course curriculum is the same as any other IP College.
* The curriculum is not that good for the first year, but it's almost the same throughout the country.
* The course curriculum is perfect and timely exams help in covering everything on a timely basis.
* The curriculum is broad and covers everything, with both practical and theoretical knowledge.
* The curriculum is somewhat outdated, last revised in 2013 by the university.
* The curriculum includes both core and non-core subjects, making students industry-ready.
* The curriculum is relevant, but could benefit from updates to reflect changes in the industry.

Overall, while the course curriculum at MSIT may have some areas for improvement, it provides a solid foundation for students pursuing a degree in Engineering.

Overall, the placements on campus are decent, but if you are looking for something more than decent, you'll have to go for off-campus placements.

MSIT college review by MSIT student.
Placements: The placement of MSIT is average, not too good. But at the end you can grab placement of low packages with less effort. The highest placement of MSIT is 1.7 crore, which is off campus. In placements, generally, most of the time, TCS, Infosys, and IBM visit to give placements.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the campus is outdated. There is a need to improve the infrastructure of the campus. Wi-Fi is also available in both campus and hostel. Hostels are very small; only 200 students can stay in a hostel. The library is also available on campus. The campus is a little small. You can feel like school.
Faculty: The faculty of Maharaja Surajmal Institute of Technology is good. The way of professors to teach students is very good. They are very supportive. They are helping every single student to get their placements. Exams are conducted by the IPU main campus, which is located in DWARKA.
Other: Yes, there is a campus crowd, due to the students of MSI. Connectivity is decent. You can easily take a rickshaw to reach the metro station. Scholarships are available for AICTE students.

B.Tech. in Electronics and Communication Engineering (Second Shift) - Batch of 2026

MSIT is a good choice and the faculty is good.
Placements: Mostly students focus on off-campus as it is a tier-3 college, but not all; approximately 50-60% of students are placed in ECE, but in CSE the percentage is higher. The highest package last year was 80 LPA (off-campus), and the lowest is 2.5-3 LPA. Top recruiters are TCS, Capgemini, Wipro, Veersa Technology, and Infosys; these are mass recruiters. Also, Amazon and Microsoft come. The internship percentage goes more to the lower side; you have to give effort on your own to take an internship. in these companies that visit mostly provide software development roles.
Infrastructure: About infrastructure, college is on the lower side, not too good, but college is in a good location surrounded by greenery, big ground, lanes, etc. Classes are well-equipped with benches, blackboards, and projectors. Not all classes contain AC, but the lab in MSIT is well-maintained and contains AC and instruments. The hostels provide all necessary things to live there.
Faculty: The best thing you like in MSIT is faculty members. They are very helpful and knowledgeable. Teachers are from NITs, qualified GATE, especially in the ECE subject, which is not relevant for job readiness in the teaching community. These are old courses running till now. It happens nearly in all colleges in tier 2-3 colleges. Exams are easy; you study accordingly.
Other: Fest in this college is not good; here you can make better connections. MSIT has a strong alumni network at better positions working in all big tech companies. Infrastructure should be improved.

Less fees and decent placement.
Placements: Around 90 percent of the students were placed in 2020-2024 batch. Placements were decent in time of global recession. Highest package was around 52 LPA and lowest was 3.5 LPA. Average would be around 5-7 LPA. Top recruiting companies were TCS and HCL. Mostly CSE and ECE branches were preferred for software developer role. Many students got internships also but data is not disclosed.
Infrastructure: For my course which is ECE labs are decent but equipments in some of the labs are not in working conditions. WiFi connectivity is also slow and classrooms are just basic, not so good. Hostels are below average. But mess food is quite good. And library is also quite decent. Medical facilities are not known.
Faculty: Teachers are very well qualified and knowledgeable. But lab assistants are not so good. Teachers also help before exam providing suitable theory and learning material for exams. They also provide a pdf of some books helping in theory section. Difficulty level of exams are quite good. It will check all your theory and practical skills.
Other: Fees that you pay for this college will be very low and knowledge you get is good. So it is a quite value for money. Placements are decent you have to prove yourself in the placement. Crowd is also decent since it is located in Delhi. Events are below average. It is near metro station around 1km so connectivity is also good. But there are no extracurricular activities. Campus surrounding is also good. A big park is also there and there is a police station also near the campus. But campus area is small around 8 acres.

It's a really good experience for me till now, and faculty is punctual in taking classes.
Placements: Placements are above average. Worth spending money for your course. Mostly above 70% students get placed for packages above 5 LPA. Meritorious students also get packages like 24, 42 LPA. Top recruiters are Accenture, TCS, Cognizant, Flipkart, Grind also. Various opportunities are given for internships, and few students also get good internship offers in top companies like Microsoft.
Infrastructure: The classrooms at this college are good. They are equipped with modern teaching tools such as projectors and comfortable seating to facilitate effective learning. Also, air conditioning is available in classes. Wi-Fi is also available in the classrooms. There are separate common rooms for students. The library is well stocked with textbooks, computers, journals, and magazines. Daily newspapers are available for students. Sports facilities are also available but with limited options.
Faculty: Teachers are very cooperative. They believe in explaining concepts completely. Referring to their online and offline notes helps us score good marks in exams. They also provide extra lectures to students who are weak in subjects. Professors are very knowledgeable, and their experience is reflected by their professionalism.
Other: Everything is good, even though my ECE batch is rather tough as compared to others, but it's interesting to learn. I would have loved it if events and fests were organized on a large scale.

An average college, it's decent.
Placements: Companies like ZS offer about 15 LPA jobs, while mostly mass recruiters like Maharaja Surajmal. Many students do get high-paying offers like in Atlassian, Microsoft, but they are off-campus. The max package this year is 53 LPA. As if mostly you.
Infrastructure: Decent enough infrastructure for my course & hostel. In the lab, I have seen enough lab equipment for my courses like the analog electronics lab. Wi-Fi performs well. Hostel mess and canteen food is average, but you can go and hang out. Games are good.
Faculty: Very helpful. Faculty, curriculum, and exams in my course. Teachers are quite helpful and quite rude as well, depends on the courses you enroll in. Yet, they are qualified, and most of them are doctorate, so can't question their knowledge. Passing semester is easy.
Other: Getting into teaching wants a Bachelor’s degree, so I’m a little into the analog side of electronics, as if in the future, I can get into the semiconductor industry.

Review of Maharaja Surajmal Institute of Technology.
Placements: Placement is just fine at this college; not that good, not that bad either. Every year, around 60% of the students in my course get placements, out of which half already secure internships in their fields, but the rest struggle to find jobs. So overall, the placement is just fine.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure and campus of the college are worth appreciating. Although the campus is a bit small, it includes all the necessary facilities: Wi-Fi, air conditioning, a library, and computer labs. I never lived in the college hostel, but they seem to be quite good too. The rooms are spacious enough for two students and their belongings.
Faculty: The teachers are not very qualified; not all of them are postgraduates, yet they manage to teach us well here. To be honest, the teachers are not so good. They can be rude, often unable to answer many of our questions, sometimes late for class, and what they teach, though within the syllabus, is very difficult to understand. The exams they set are so difficult that the pass percentage here is also 40%.
Other: I chose this college because the fees were lower compared to other larger colleges.
