Q:   How effective is the placement cell for B.E. / B.Tech courses at Maharana Pratap Engineering College?

    A:
    {Source: B.E. / B.Tech students & alumni}

Effectiveness of Placement Cell for B.E./B.Tech Courses at Maharana Pratap Engineering College

Based on the reviews and feedback from students and alumni, here's an overview of the effectiveness of the placement cell for B.E./B.Tech courses at Maharana Pratap Engineering College:

    * Limited placements: Many students reported that the college doesn't have strong connections with leading companies, resulting in limited job opportunities. Some students mentioned that only a few genuinely good companies visited the campus for recruitment.
    * Poor placement record for certain branches: Specifically, students from Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, and Electronics departments expressed frustration with the lack of placements and the fact that most companies only recruit students from Computer Science departments.
    * Low salary packages: When jobs were offered, the salaries were reportedly low, ranging from INR1.20 LPA to INR1.40 LPA.
    * Companies inviting students for non-core positions: Some students claimed that companies would invite students for non-engineering roles, which may not align with their academic goals.
    * Placement cell struggling to secure placements: Alumni and current students noted that the placement cell faces challenges in securing job offers for students, particularly from core engineering branches.

However, it's worth noting that some students who studied Computer Science Engineering reported positive experiences with the placement cell, mentioning that around 90% of students from this department get placed, with some receiving salary packages up to INR5 LPA.

Overall, while there may be some exceptions, the majority of feedback suggests that the placement cell for B.E./B.Tech courses at Maharana Pratap Engineering College requires improvement to meet the expectations of students.

You can take admission if you want.
Placements: Last year, about 50% of students got placed. The highest package was 4 lacs, the average was 3 lacs, and the lowest was 2 lacs. Top recruiting companies like TCS, Infosys, and Mahindra came last year. About 60% of students got internships. The college does not provide internships.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is good. Wi-Fi is available 24/7 on campus and in hostels. Labs are clean. Classrooms are quite good and clean. The library is also good, with many books. I don't live in a hostel, so I don't know much about it, but I have heard from my friends that it is well-maintained.
Faculty: Teachers are really helpful; they help you discover new things and try to engage you in new activities. They share their real-life experiences with students. The course curriculum is relevant and makes students industry-ready. Semester exams are not tough; one can easily pass by studying during lectures.

Absolutely satisfied with the college efforts and management priceless efforts.
Placements: Guys, as you know that this is a private college, so CGPA matters a lot. You should have to score at least 8 CGPA for getting better placement. Now the college faculty members are well maintained and very friendly in nature. You should have to study hard for getting better placement. The highest package is 49 LPA in 2023, and the average package is 3.5 LPA. As we know that skills matter a lot, so you should have to focus on your skills as well as your CGPA.
Infrastructure: The hostels are also well maintained. You should have to pay 75,000 per year in hostels. I'm a day scholar, so I don't have much information about the hostel rules and regulations, but some of my friends are hostlers, and they said that the hostel was well maintained, everything was well arranged, and also the hostel food was quite delicious.
Faculty: In this college, from the last year after the changing of director, the college arranged 2 unit tests and 2 mid-semester tests for boosting up our knowledge and for getting ready for the university exams. This was much better and very helpful for each and every student.
Other: According to me, if you are dedicated to your goal and due to some problems you are unable to qualify JEE Main, then this college is a good option for you. But you should have to study hard and try to maintain your result for getting better placement.

Dissatisfied with the placements, faculty, and the infrastructure.
Placements: The college does not offer good placements. The average placement package offered is less than 2 Lacs per annum and the companies are not reliable for long term jobs. The placements department is also not very active, therefore, this college’s placements are not reliable for a good career.
Infrastructure: Hostel and college’s infrastructure is neither too bad nor too good. It's only average with most of the windows being broken, fans are slow in the classrooms and the classrooms don’t have AC availability. Wi-Fi is also very bad in both the hostel and the college.
Faculty: Faculty is not very good, they are only average. The exams are commenced on a daily basis here, they take exams every week. They don’t give time to build relations and preparations, they just take exams all the time. At times they conduct 25 surprise tests, 25 unit tests, 10 mid semester exams, 5 put and then the semester exams (subject wise).

Infrastructure is very good, faculty is bad, placement is average, and internship is bad.
Placements: My college is good because my college structure is excellent but placement is not good and my college's lowest package is 3 LPA, the average package is 5 LPA and the highest package is 10-14 LPA. My college internship is very low in my campus.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of Maharana Pratap Engineering College is very nice. All facilities are available, some facilities are not available for example (AC , whiteboard, some classes are not available and some classes are available), and the canteen is good in my campus college.
Faculty: Faculty are not good in my college, and in the 1st semester, they changed many times. Faculty conduct weekly tests without proper teaching, and students cheat using mobile phones. My classes are not scheduled properly, and training for placement and internships are also not organized well.

A review in which you can believe.
Placements: Around 70% of eligible students get placed. The highest package was 49 LPA, the lowest was 3.2 LPA, and the average was 5.2 LPA. Goldman Sachs was the top recruiter. About 90% of students get internships, with the top roles being SDE developer and cybersecurity engineer.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure at MPEC is quite decent, and everything is maintained in a proper manner and checked on a weekly basis. There is WiFi in the labs but not in the classrooms, which I think is a good thing. There are three canteens in MPEC, and a mess is also available.
Faculty: The professors at MPEC are well qualified in their respective fields. They are always ready to support the students in every manner. The course curriculum is provided by the university. The semester exams are as difficult as the university exams, and the passing percentage is the same, at 33%.
Other: I chose this college because of the courses offered, the placement record, and the facilities. However, I think the college should offer more sports activities. On the plus side, eligible students can get scholarships.

I think you should go anywhere.
Placements: This year 2024 only the 10 % - 15 % placement success rate. This year the college suffer the huge lack of placement. The placement rate are goes to below poor. College also take the training feels for training and even after the placement rate are very poor.
Infrastructure: This college infrastructure are good and the facility of this college are also good like water facility, library facility, canteen facility, proper ground for cricket and other sport. Overall the infrastructure are above good and provide you feel the college.
Faculty: Faculty are also good and their behaviour are also good but the college curriculum are very tough and the college follow the attendance policy of 90 %. If you fails to complete the attendance policy college take the action in the form of fine and assignment.
