Is B.E./B.Tech at MCE Worth the Investment?

Based on the reviews and feedback from students and alumni, here's what we can conclude:

Infrastructure and Facilities: The college has good infrastructure, with well-maintained labs, libraries, and facilities. However, some reviewers noted that the hostel food could improve.

Teaching and Faculty: Most faculty members are knowledgeable, experienced, and willing to help students. While some may focus more on toppers, there are efforts to engage academically weaker students too.

Placements: The college has a dedicated placement cell, and most students get placed within six months of graduation. The average salary package ranges from INR3-7 LPA, with top companies like Wipro, TCS, and others visiting the campus.

Campus Life: The college has a peaceful campus, with ample opportunities for extracurricular activities, events, and fests. Reviewers appreciated the availability of facilities, such as Wi-Fi, laboratories, and transportation.

Value-for-Money: Despite being a private institution, the fees seem reasonable compared to the benefits received. However, some reviewers felt that the college tries to "loot" money from students.

In conclusion, studying B.E./B.Tech at MCE appears to be a worthwhile investment for those interested in pursuing a career in computer Science and engineering. With its good infrastructure, decent faculty, and satisfactory placement record, the college offers a positive learning experience. However, potential students should weigh the pros and cons carefully before making a decision.

College has good infrastructure and faculty, but sports facilities could be better.
Placements: I am a 2nd-year CSE student. On average, our seniors get placed with good packages. TCS, Infosys, and UST are the main recruiters. Overall, an average student can get placed. Mangalam provides placements training from the second year, so students can easily improve their interview skills.
Faculty: I would rate 4 stars for the faculty members. They actually take care of students like their children and spoon-feed the syllabus. If students have the mindset to study and pass, faculty members are good overall. Mangalam is a good option. I reduced 1 star because of KTU University.
Other: The main highlight of Mangalam is Torque. That show was awesome. It is a combined 3-day program package Torque, Teach Fest, and Arts. Those 3 days are the most valuable events at Mangalam.

Campus life is good. Infrastructure is average.
Placements: Almost 60% of students are placed in Mangalam College of Engineering. The highest salary package offered is 7 LPA and the average salary package offered is 4 LPA. Recruiting companies include IBM, HCL, Infosys, HP, QSpiders Campus, Sutherland, 6D Technologies, UST, TCS, DATAPY, Accenture, etc.
Infrastructure: Our college infrastructure is normal. Library is available. Labs are equipped with good systems. Canteens are available. There is a ground for football. The ambiance is good. Hostel facilities are not great. Wi-Fi is available, but food is just average.
Faculty: Teachers are very qualified. This college has NBA accreditation for 4 courses. It has an A in NAAC. Teachers are very knowledgeable and put great efforts to teach students.. The pass percentage is 75%. This course is a little difficult and requires more efforts to pass.
Other: I opted for this course because it has a good opportunity for people seeking a good salary. This college has an auto show and cultural fests. It is not as strict as other colleges.

Basic Infrastructure, Average Facilities, but Good Placement Opportunities in CSE.
Placements: At Mangalam College for CSE, over 80% of students were placed, with packages ranging from 2.5 LPA (the lowest) to 8 LPA (the highest). The average package is around 3.5 LPA. Top recruiters include TCS, Infosys, and Wipro, offering roles in software development and data analysis. Approximately 60% gained internships, notably with TCS and IBM.
Infrastructure: Mangalam College's CSE labs and classrooms are basic and outdated, with hostel facilities rated average due to maintenance issues and weak Wi-Fi. Hostel mess food lacks variety and taste, often repeating menu with poor cleanliness, leaving students largely dissatisfied.
Faculty: Mangalam's CSE faculty is generally helpful and qualified, with average teaching quality. The curriculum is somewhat industry-relevant but may lack practical exposure for full readiness. Semester exams are moderately difficult, and pass rates are typically high, around 85-90%.

An average college for academics and college life experience.
Placements: Only 5% of students secure placements from our college. The highest salary package offered is 2 LPA. The average salary package offered is 1 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is Rs. 60,000 per annum. Top recruiting companies are TCS, Wipro, and Infosys. Over 80% of students secured free internships and offers from various companies. Roles offered are manager, assistant manager, and executive officer.
Infrastructure: Facilities are poor but the library is good. Wi-Fi frequently has issues. The quality of food is poor, but it's adjustable. Medical facility is average. Sports and games facilities are poor. Management doesn't encourage students to participate in sports, games, arts, and festivals. They won't give much attention to these activities.
Faculty: Teachers are average. They are qualified and knowledgeable. A few teachers don't have the ability to teach students, particularly to average students. Curriculum is relevant and makes students to be industry-ready. Exams are tough but can pass with our efforts. Pass percentage is 40%.
Other: I chose this course to secure a job in IT. The best thing about the course is we got to learn how to be patient and punctual. More updated things could be included in this course.

If someone is looking only for academics and not for college life, this college is for them.
Placements: Placements are not satisfying considering the efforts that we put into the course. Mechanical engineering is a course that requires a significant amount of hard work even just to pass. So amount of placements that the college is providing is not satisfactory. There aren't many great companies offering opportunities. The lowest salary package offered is around Rs. 27,000 per month for our department. Only about 20% of students get placed through our college.
Infrastructure: Faculty members are not that great compared to other colleges. First of all, our college doesn't allow phone usage on campus. There is no Wi-Fi available in our classrooms. Labs in our college are okay. Library is above average and satisfactory. Quality of food available is mainly below average. Hostel facilities are also average. Sports facilities provided are also average.
Faculty: Faculty members in our department are good. Most of faculty members are qualified and knowledgeable. Course curriculum is relevant. Semester exams are tough, making it difficult for the majority of students to even pass.

Very bad experience from this college I wouldn't suggest this as I am suffering now.
Placements: Students who pass out without a backlog get placed in various sectors. The Mechanical department is not getting placed with high salaries initially. Even though placements are offered by companies like Suzuki, Volkswagen, Tata, and many others, the starting package is below INR 25,000. Internships are provided by many companies such as CIPET, Yamaha, Tata, KTM, and Royal Enfield. The top roles provided are Sales Executive, Chief Mechanical, Supervisor, etc.
Infrastructure: The workshop and labs have sufficient equipment, although they are not well maintained. Overall, the infrastructure is average. The college has Wi-Fi facilities, but students are not allowed to use mobile phones on campus. Both the department library and the college library are well established and fully functional. The hostel food is very disappointing and hard to tolerate. The facilities are average, but food is the main issue. Rooms are equipped with 2 fans, 4 cots, 4 study tables, and 2 cupboards. All rooms are ventilated and in good condition.
Faculty: Most of the teachers are qualified with only a Master's degree, and only a few have Ph.D. qualifications. The staff is willing to give their best, but the teaching style and attitude are poor. They come, teach, and leave without forming any relationship with the students. My college life has been horrible and boring. The college doesn't conduct many programs on its own, and it uses student money for events. Students require permission from the HOD even for small things.
Other: I wouldn't suggest this college if you want to enjoy your college life. It is not as advertised or portrayed on social media. I just wanted to finish the course and leave.
