B.Tech. in Electronics and Communication Engineering - Batch of 2017
Offered by Maulana Azad College of Engineering and Technology

Dissatisfied with the placements in 2017.
Placements: The placements are not as good as expected. Sometimes, fraud companies visit the college to offer placements. The placement team is not very active. The college doesn't inquire much about the companies' registration. They play with students' career, and this decreases the student's confidence.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is good. A good number of classrooms and labs are available. Students perform experiments independently, and the lab instructors are also very good. They help students in understanding and performing the experiments. The campus is good. There are separate classrooms for each stream.
Faculty: The course curriculum is not up to date. The faculty are good and help students to get the best understanding of every aspect of their career. They conduct regular exams to improve student's performance. They help the weak students more. They are very friendly and help the students in taking the right decisions for their career.

Placements were not good in 2016.
Placements: The placements were not good in 2016 as they were fake. The placement team is not good. Do not believe in the placement team. I had a very bad experience. The subject teachers are good. Students are good.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is good. There is a separate library to provide books to the students. The syllabus is not up to date. There are separate classrooms for all streams. The strength of a class is limited. The teachers even take extra classes to complete the syllabus. They conduct regular class tests and exams. No extracurricular activities are conducted. No events or development programs were conducted.
Faculty: The course curriculum is not updated, but the teachers are good. The faculty are very cooperative. They check individual's performance and capabilities. The students should have 70% attendance. They conduct regular tests to enhance student's performance. They conduct motivational sessions to encourage students.

Maulana azad college a minority institution.
Placements: Our teachers for placement cell are pretty good and they help us in how to face the interview in college for placement. Earlier college provided internship for students too but now it has vanished. There Is A 50-50 chances of placement in the college. Companies like Wipro, TCS, etc. Come here.
Infrastructure: The Infrastructure of the college is pretty good not like the IIts & Nits. But overall it is good. We have 5 buildings and they are as follows:-
1) Study Building is a place where we attend lecture.
2) Lab Building is for labs.
3) Workshop Building is for technical expertise like how to make building or motor etc.
4) Office Building for office work and library is also there.
5) Civil Building is separate for civilians lab
6) Canteen Building.
Faculty: Courses offered here are as follows:-
1) CSE
2)Civil
3) Mechanical
4) Electrical
5) Electronics & Communication
The faculty members of College are pretty good and qualified M.Tech holders most of them. Most of them are good teachers because they street us like their younger brothers and sisters.
Other: Our College is situated in Neora, Patna 10kms away from Kanpur Junction. City office of our college which is named Maryam Manzil is situated in Anisabad, Patna. Our college has canteen too where we can eat and chill with our friends. College provides us the facility of bus service for every students. The bus has two origin points one at Gandhi Maidan & second is Anisabad City Office. There is a separate bus for boys and girls too. It takes about 1hour to reach college and meanwhile everybody chills on the bus by singing or dancing on songs. For poor students there is also a scholarship facility.

Take admission in this college at your own risk.
Placements: The placements are very poor, and very few companies come to select only a few students. In that also, they mostly get contractual jobs. Some students get jobs, but they are underpaid. Last year, the highest package fetched was 2.5 LPA, he was one of the good students in our college.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is pathetic. There is no playground for playing any kind of sports. Parking space is not available. There is no specific building for labs of individual branches. There is no Wi-Fi facility available on the campus, and the canteen food is rubbish. They serve only one type of menu, which is poor in taste. We have a rich library, but the ambience inside the library is not fit for the sincere students.
Faculty: The faculty is good and qualified, but they don't show interest in teaching. They use rough language, but I find them helpful sometimes. As the college is affiliated to Magadh University, the academic session is late by 6 months, which is the biggest drawback for the college. They conduct annual tests, and there are no semester wise exams as of now. Results declaration is also delayed up to 6-7 months.
Other: As it is a minority institution, you may get scholarships, which is sponsored by the state government or ministry of minority affairs, of the government of India, but that is also if you are lucky. We have extracurricular activities conducted in our college once in a year in the name of Maulana Azad.

A good institute for patnaties.
Placements: I got placed into SIS-Prosegur, though the placements are low however slowly some of the companies are coming for the placement. During my academic time, only 3 students got placed with me with an average package of 2.4LPA. But now companies are coming, but still, a huge effort is needed to strengthen the placement cell. Great potential lies within the college, but the college needs to work on the placement cell and people development programs.
Infrastructure: The college has a great infrastructure with a good lab, especially for ECE and EEE. In 2012 itself a great investment was made by a newly appointed director to strengthen the lab infra. The department of civil is newly constructed with all modern lab facilities. The language labs and programs are introduced for the personality development of the students.
Faculty: The faculty members are good, especially when I passed out some faculty members were IIT graduates. Overall I would rate this as a good faculty. When it comes to the course curriculum, I feel like it needs complete modification as Magadh University. It is still following an old curriculum, even things which are obsolete are juts included in the curriculum and a lot of newly updated subject, and essential technical theories which are currently of great importance do not have any existence. I would recommend a proper modification here.
Other: The campus is good and safe. Being in a small city of Patna it does not get the due recognition. However, I have seen many alumni settled in big MNCs holding top positions as well.
