PhD/MTech/MFSc 2023-24 applications are open till Sep 19 and the merit list of eligible candidates will be published on Sep 25. Further, the first and second counseling will be held on Sep 29 and Oct 6, respectively. Additionally, admission will be scheduled on Oct 9 and the classes will be commenced on Oct 10.
Bihar Animal Sciences University (BASU) has been established with its headquarters at Patna through an act of Bihar State (BASU Act No. 15 of 2016, notified in the Bihar Gazette in 2016). The University has six Research Institutes / Stations / Sub Stations: Institute of Animal Health and Production, Patna, Exotic Cattle Breeding Farm, Patna, Central Poultry Farm, Patna, Government Goat Breeding Farm, Purnia, Government Cattle Farm, Gaya and Government Buffalo Farm, Sipaya (Gopalganj).

- BVSc and AH has total intake of 60 seats; to get admission candidates need to qualify NEET
- University offers BTech (DT) with an intake of 30 seats; BCECE needs to be qualified to get admission
