It is a great and affordable college.

Infrastructure: Our library is situated in a peaceful place, and it has almost all the books and magazines a medical student would need. The hostel has both two-seater and single-seater rooms. Each room has a study table, a chair, and other basic facilities. Rooms are clean. In the mess, they serve meals three times a day, with tea and snacks in the evening. PGs and rented rooms are available nearby, but they are very costly.

It is the best college in West Bengal.

Infrastructure: Our college boasts of having Regional Institute of Opthalmology, which is the only one in our state making it the prime center of eye treatment. The oncology center is under construction which will open wide opportunities for cancer treatment. Along with that, we have Eden Hospital for gynecology and Green Building for gastrology and other specific OPD, along with general OPD and emergency. Classrooms are extremely spacious, and there are mainly 2 lecture halls the general lecture theatre, and a...

It is the 1st medical college in India as well as Eastern Asia.

Infrastructure: Offline classes are held in lecture theatres. General lecture theatre (GLT) is the historical classroom where Dr BC Roy, Dr NR Sarkar and Dr RG Kar had attended classes once. Wi-Fi is limited to one-time use only. There is a facility for TT in GCR.

Everything is very good. I suggest not to think about placements.

Infrastructure: It is a government college, but it has all the facilities like Wi-Fi, great hostel and everything. You won't face any problem, and it is quite comfortable. Overall, it is great.

This college is really great.

Infrastructure: College- Being the 1st medical institute in Asia it's buildings are a bit old, but I can assure you the lecture theatres have been maintained very carefully. Library facility is pretty good. Wi-Fi is also available inside academic building. Labs are well maintained.

College life is good but could be better due to poor infrastructure.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure is not sufficient in terms of academics. The library is not big enough to accommodate students. Teacher to student ratio is insufficient. Teaching conditions are not comfortable. College canteen needs more staff. However, the quality of food is good, but hostel conditions are poor, especially in the case of food and hygiene. Safety conditions during work are inadequate, along with an inadequate supply of items like medicines, instruments, etc. Manpower is required more to handle t...

I can promise that you will not regret joining the oldest medical college in our country.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is improving day by day though it is not at par with the best ones at present. Recently, the central government has decided to bring our college under AIIMS level upgradation along with BHU and few colleges across the country. There are 4 boys' hostels and another 7 storyed hostel building is under construction and 2 girls' hostels on the campus. The main boys' hostel is Wi-Fi facilitated, and the new boys' hostel is yet to have that facility. Quality of food in the boys' host...

Satisfied with the college as its placements, infrastructure and faculty are good.

Infrastructure: The college provides Wi-Fi facility on the campus. Classrooms are spacious. A badminton court, gym, sports ground and parking area are available. Quality of food provided in the canteen is average. Hostel rooms are average, and each room accommodates 3 students. There wasn't any infrastructure related issue or any other issues during my tenure. Almost all the facilities are good, but the quality of food in the hostel is poor.

I love this college. This was my dream college and I feel lucky to get a chance to study here.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is quite good. Though Wi-Fi facility is not available but cybermed is there. Labs are of poor quality. Library is quite good. Classrooms are excellent with air-conditioning. Indoor games like table tennis and carrum are there. Foods in the canteen are of poor quality. Hostels are in poor condition to live in.

A Prestigious institution with good facilities, the oldest medical college in Asia.

Infrastructure: As it's running as the oldest medical college in Asia, Infrastructure is old. Newer medical instruments are also available here. Classrooms are bearing the prestigious culture from it's ancient history. A very few famous doctors passed their MBBS from my college such as Dr. Nilratan Sarkar, Dr. B C Roy etc. Food from the college canteen are quite costly but the hostel's food are too cheap with poor quality. Hostel rooms are comfortable enough. Cultural programmes are quite popular including each...

I love our college and you will love it too. I'm very much satisfied. I could't expect more from it.

Infrastructure: Medical college Kolkata is one of the best medical college in India. Maximum classrooms are A/C and light, sound systems are good. Library I available and free for all students. Labs are of average quality. No free Wi-Fi available here but cafe is there to use. Foods are of very poor quality in the canteen. Sports and games are also arranged between our busy schedule. Hostel rooms are well spacious and aired. Till now I haven't faced any difficulty here. Thank you.

It could have been a much better place provided there was not a serious space crunch.

Infrastructure: Certain departments, like paediatrics, have a great infrastructure, with a large number of ventilators and a very clean ward. Others, especially medicine, surgery, orthopaedics suffer from a major space crunch. Sanitary conditions are far from what is desired.

Very happy with the College.

Infrastructure: The college is the oldest Medical College of India. It is huge, and the patient load is absolutely fabulous which helps a lot in clinics. There are humongous multiple number of buildings. The library is also very clean and quiet and a good place for students to study. There are different blocks for different departments.

Medical College Kolkata - The oldest medical college of Asia.

Infrastructure: The medical college and hospital have got one of the finest infrastructures among all the medical colleges of West Bengal. Though being a very old college, it has upgraded the infrastructure to keep the pace with the upcoming generation and also with the other colleges. We have lecture theatres, an auditorium, cyber lab, a library, separate department buildings and the canteen is also very good. Everything is very well maintained, this is one of the reason, why film shootings happen in our colle...
