It is a great and affordable college.

Placements: Placements are not provided here, but they provide one-year mandatory internships. The stipend is very low when compared to other government colleges that give around Rs. 25000 per month. We only get Rs. 10,000 per month. Once you have completed your course, you can apply for a job as an MBBS doctor anywhere you want in India. Post-graduation is also an option.

It is the best college in West Bengal.

Placements: Medical College and Hospital, Kolkata is considered the best college in West Bengal, and probably the best even in Eastern India, with 188 years of rich legacy, making it the oldest college in Asia. Almost 250 best students of the state, who cleared NEET are allowed to take admission in this prestigious institute, and out of them, only 110 are of unreserved category. All MBBS students have to do internships to get their degree and this internship offers a handsome package to the students. In med...

It is the 1st medical college in India as well as Eastern Asia.

Placements: After completing the MBBS degree, students can opt to work as house staff members according to their score in the final year or can write a PG entrance exam. Though it's tough to get the desired subject in the desired college for a postgraduate degree, a number of students pass PG entrance exam very easily.

Everything is very good. I suggest not to think about placements.

Placements: MBBS is a great course. I can guarantee that it is one of the best courses. It also makes students the elite member of society.

This college is really great.

Placements: All 4th year students need to do their internships. Then they prepare for NEET PG and appear in the exams for specialisation. Internship runs for 6months and followed by house staffship for 6months which is optional. NEET PG exam is based on all the subjects taught in MBBS (I. e, 19 ).

College life is good but could be better due to poor infrastructure.

Placements: Placements in a medical college are not quite applicable. After the completion of course, everyone does an internship for a year, with a salary offered of Rs. 21,000 per month. Later, they can either apply for a government post in a hospital or in private or can go for postgraduation degree or practice privately.

I can promise that you will not regret joining the oldest medical college in our country.

Placements: There are no specific campus placements in medical college. After finishing the course, everyone must do an internship for one year, and then, try for the MD or MS through PG entrance exam. But, being one of the most premier medical institutes in our country, its PG result is quite good as 4-5 students get a decent branch in MD or MS in the best colleges of our country like AIIMS, MAMC or KGMU every year. As of now, the stipend offered during the internship is at par with the central affiliated ...

Satisfied with the college as its placements, infrastructure and faculty are good.

Placements: As it is an MBBS course, students can easily get placed in any place. So, the students don't need to worry about placements. Almost all the students and postgraduates get placed easily. The highest salary offered is Rs. 1 Lac per month and the lowest salary is around Rs. 35,000-50,000 per month. More than 60% of the students get internships. The stipend offered for a UG student is Rs. 10,000-15,000, and for a postgraduation student is Rs. 40,000-45,000.

I love this college. This was my dream college and I feel lucky to get a chance to study here.

Placements: There is no such things call placement in any Medical colleges. But you can become a housestaff in any department according to your qualifications. Placement is only applicable in case of engineering colleges where different companies visit your college. But there is nothing such in Medical college.

I love our college and you will love it too. I'm very much satisfied. I could't expect more from it.

Placements: There is nothing called placement in a medical institution. 100% students got internship as it is compulsory to get your MBBS registration. Around 19 thousands stipend offered during internship. No there is no placement cell. Also you can do housestaffship after completion of internship during which you will get around 28 thousands stipend. Thank you.

It could have been a much better place provided there was not a serious space crunch.

Placements: Internship is mandatory, and all of us become interns in our institute itself. Most of us opt for post graduation, so placement is not really a requirement. However, a large number of housestaffship posts are available ( 120 most likely), very meagre duty with quite a good salary. Also others can opt for central counselling which is conducted by the university itself. However, as I mentioned, this is mainly a side job for most of us, the real target being securing a NEET seat.

Overall, it is a good college.

Placements: The placements are obviously good. Since it is a government medical college, the job is 100 percent sure with good money. First 3 years, you have to go to the periphery for a job, then you will get placement anywhere else. You can earn good amount of money, i.e., it may be like double the amount what you earn in the periphery.

Very happy with the College.

Placements: The students at MCH usually go for higher studies, and not just stop after completing MBBS. They look for Post graduation courses, but if they want jobs after MBBS. they easily get jobs at any of the government colleges in Kolkata, because of the legacy of the College, by how they've performed throughout their college, how good they are at their clinics.

Medical College Kolkata - The oldest medical college of Asia.

Placements: The students in our college are very much experienced, after completing their internship because they are subjected to various types of situations for the knowledge. In the year 2017, the principal amount for an internship is about Rs. 19,000. Immediate after the internship, some students opt for the house staff ship. Private hospitals and nursing homes are very well crediting this Housestaff ship.

Dignifying start to a medical career with the oldest medical college in Asia.

Placements: There is no problem with the placement; the doctors passed out from this are highly revered and highly sought after. Almost every one completing the course and internship gets their practices in a government hospital (they can earn above Rs. 30,000 per month), private practice apprentice (from Rs. 25000 per month to Rs. 75000 per month) or pursue PG ( Rs. 35,000 per month at least). There is a huge scope of increment (at least monetarily) by leaps and bounds, as one establishes one's competence ...

Medical College and Hospital is the best.

Placements: This is a medical college. After four years of the course and 1 year of internship, you can try to get into your profession with a salary of around Rs. 20,000 to Rs. 30,000 per month. You can go for any optional house staff ship or join a hospital. The placements are not offered to the students in our college, but they can prepare for postgraduate exams to join MD and MS courses. It is one of the best colleges in India.
