Mepco Schlenk Engineering College.

Placements: Only 10 percent of the students in my department got placed. The highest package offered is 10 Lacs and the lowest package is 3 Lacs. The top recruiting companies for my course are Accentuate, TCS and others. Only 10 percent of the students got internships from my course in Sabre, Mr. Copper etc.

Is good college but rules will be like schools .

Placements: Placements are less compared to other departments. 30 students got internship as structural designer. Average package was 20-30 thousand. Top recruiters were, Don and lmc. Many top roles are offered in my course.

Not good but suitable for mugup learners.

Placements: Bad placement and no companies are coming in our batch. Only 20% of mechanical students got selected in placement but not in a core company. They placed in a software company and some of the students opt for higher studies because of no placement and the top recruitment company is Infosys only.

Review of Mepco Schlenk Engineering College.

Placements: The worst placements are provided for mechanical engineering students. College can't afford to bring the core companies, but they pressure us to learn programming to get a place in software companies. Placements will be from the worst recruiters like Garment companies, and the salary packages offered for mechanical students is poor, and it's around 2 LPA much low than total college fees. Only 30% of the students got placed including the software field.

The college has a lot of restrictions, but it is better.

Placements: Mediocre and a lot of things happen in this college. A lot of fines are charged for unnecessary things, which is unbearable. They don't even care about students, which is very much annoying and hard to understand.

It is good for book worm type of people and the rules will make you go mad.

Placements: 1.20% of the students were placed. 2.15pa and 3.5pa was the salary offered. 3. Maybe one or two companies came for recruitment 4.25% of students got an internship. Placements are good but mostly only CSE and IT companies come and they first take those circuit branches and then they come to mechanical. Placement in the core company is less even 1%.

Dissatisfied with the attitude of faculty members, management and the placement officer.

Placements: Placements in our college are good. Almost 70% of the students were placed last year. Companies like Aricent, Wipro, TCS, CTS and Zoho visited the college. Roles such as programme assistant trainee and developer were offered by the companies. Around 30-40% of the students got internships. There is a placement cell in our college.

Not fully satisfied and not worth the money as it lags in exposure and sports.

Placements: Our college has the worst placement record when compared to the previous batch. The lowest salary offered is Rs. 10,000 and few people were only placed in core companies. L&T, Jasper International are some of the core companies, and Infosys, GoFrugal and Maveric are some of the marketing and software companies that visited our college. Internships are given to our students with a stipend of Rs. 3,000 per month.

Dissatisfied with the placements on the college.

Placements: The placement was poor for our batch, and they have restricted us in attending the other companies if we have already got placed in a company. We have not thought that it will affect our career much. But now I am jobless because of what they have done. The average salary is 3.25 LPA, and the lowest salary is Rs. 12,000 per month. The students who get the internship are lucky, and they are secured with their job.

An outdated, well-disciplined college, that produces technically good engineers but not competitive.

Placements: Out of 72 students in the civil 4th year, only 12 members got the placement in the year 2016-2017. Among them, only 3 members are placed in core company say L&T. The rest of them are placed in software companies including Infosys and CTS. Software companies provide a salary package of around 3-3.5 lakhs per annum. Many companies visited our college but most of them are meant for other departments only. For civil engineering, only limited companies visited our college. Our college makes way for i...

The good thing is that my college is a temple of learning and the bad thing is that you can’t enjoy your college life here. Its infrastructure is great. The food served there is tasty, but not available all day long. One thing that is lacking here is the communication gap between students and staff. Placements are good because it is a very old college. In my opinion, it is an average college.

Summary: Poor placements and Worst rules. Not a place to learn. Suitable if you have no passion for engineering and all you want is a degree. It gives you poor exposure and knowledge. Good library and hostel. It has worst management. Ironically, the best college around Madurai and can be ranked in top ten in the state.
