B.Com. in Travel and Tourism - Batch of 2021

A very good environment, until you do your own work without getting into any issues.
Placements: Around 5 to 6 students were placed in our course. The top recruiters are Indigo and Dream Holidays. 20–25% of students got internships with SOTC holidays, etc. There is huge competition for placement because there are thousands to give a competition to one post-interview for.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are well-equipped and maintained, and there is a huge library with variety in books, starting from storybooks to subject-related books of each course. Some books are written by college staff themselves. We had books to refer to written by our subject teachers.
Faculty: Exams are stressful teachers are knowledgeable. It provides courses like AI, Excel, HTML, etc. This helps in gaining skills. I had two backlogs. There was no proper understanding of NEAP policy when introduced. The major issue was in language: whether to take regular or functional Kannada.
Other: I wish a change in food services that's offered in Triple C. One pros is that there are plenty of places to spend time with friends. There are events conducted throughout the year.

Life inside: Mount Carmel College.
Placements: My courses had a placement rate of 60%. The highest package offered was 7 lakhs per annum, the lowest was 3 lakhs, and the average was 5 lakhs. Top companies that provided placements included Green Room, Amazon, Tesco, Indigo, and TCS. Approximately 80% of students got internships from my courses.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure at Mount Carmel is the best. The labs, classrooms, and library are aesthetically built, spacious, and beautifully decorated. The hostel is good, and the food is also good.
Faculty: The teachers at Mount Carmel College are very helpful. They are well-trained and provided me with the guidance I needed to learn the material. The exams were challenging, but not overly difficult. Overall, the difficulty level of the exams is medium, and about 90% of students pass.
Other: I chose this course because I've been a commerce student since the 9th grade. I knew I could excel in this course because I was familiar with all the subjects and topics. The best thing about my course is the career opportunities it offers. While almost everything is perfect, the student body could be improved. On the other hand, the events and fests are like a festival at our college.

B.Sc. in Interior Design Management - Batch of 2023

Can pick the college because of the power of its name outside for good placements.
Placements: In my course, the percentage almost doesn't matter. What matters is your portfolio. Make really good projects. The highest package is 37k, and the lowest is 12k. Internship was optional for us as we were the Covid batch, but in a class of 30, only 3 participated. Companies like Homelane and Rolls offered roles as design project manager and interior designer.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi, charging points, and smart classrooms are included. A library of decent size is also provided for students. Faculty members are usually not so friendly. The hostel is mostly given to early applicants, and other facilities like sports and medical services are alright.
Faculty: Teachers did their job, nothing more, nothing less. They taught us how to use the software but not completely. I'm not sure if it was because of online classes or if it's generally taught half-cooked, but it was alright. The curriculum needs more real-world knowledge for students to grow because real-world work is nothing like what is being taught. The exams aren't easy, per se, and the pass percentage is 35%.
Other: I honestly didn't have a clue about my course, but all I knew was that I got to design, and that was more than enough for me. The best thing about my course is that you have the freedom to design whatever you want with no restrictions, with countless possibilities design-wise. Money-wise, it could be much better because they don't provide any tools for us, and we have to buy those too after all the fees we paid, so it's double expenditure. Please teach the students how to survive in the real world. A fest like Cul-ah is conducted every year, along with other festivals.

Mount Carmel College Bangalore Communication Studies.
Placements: Placements at Mount Carmel College are very tough to get. The average package they say is 4 - 7 LPA. I really don’t have an idea about placements here because I am a newbie and I am in my 1st year. I have done one internship with Indian Artists Collective, which was a non-paying internship. If you want internships, you must be in the good books of the professors.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure in my block is really good, while other blocks, like the LSCB block, have very old benches and stuff. However, every classroom in my block has a computer and a projector. If not every class, at least my block does. There is no hostel for boys here, and since this is the first year for boys, girls are chilling around in the hostel. They have told me it's pretty decent, so don’t expect much.
Faculty: The faculty here is really professional. The professors do have personal talks with students if they are having problems with their studies. Also, the administration here is chill, unlike other colleges. When it comes to exams, I had one CIA and one end-sem exam in the 1st semester, and this is how it works in every semester.

Good infrastructure and faculty, but dissatisfied with the administration.
Placements: MCC is good for placements in the commerce department, but in the arts, there is no placement since most people opt for higher studies. Also, there are very few jobs at the UG level for arts students. There is no time for internships for psychology students. Most people have to find it out on their own and do it online.
Infrastructure: There are smart classrooms, there are 2 canteens, one is the main one (called Triple C), which has all variety in foods, and the rate is also good. The other canteen is called Purple Corner, which is open and outdoors and serves decent food. I am not sure about hostels as i didn't stay there.
Faculty: Psychology faculty is very approachable and knowledgeable. They teach really well. The psychology curriculum is basic, with general psychology in the 1st year, developmental psychology in the 2nd, and in the 3rd year they give an option between abnormal and counselling psychology.
Other: MCC is famous for its fests. There is not a single day where you'll feel bored on campus. Attendance strictness and dress code are something that should be changed.

POV : A Carmelite's life .
Placements: Many companies, like Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, etc., come for placements. The average package is 3–4 LPA and the highest for our course was 13 LPA. Various companies offer internships as well and the number of students getting placed depends on their performance.
Infrastructure: The campus is excellent, with many amenities like hostel, cafeteria, library, etc. The cafeteria is the best and affordable as well. The library has many books and reference materials. The campus has been awarded many times for it's cleanliness and greenery.
Faculty: The faculty is average, I would say and the curriculum is good. The exam pattern is very well planned but the management is a little frustrating. The teachers are not the best that we can expect from such a reputed college but there are a few very good teachers.
Other: There are many fests conducted every month and the main event is Cul Ah, which is the biggest fest of the year.
