Wonderful Campus Diary - MIT Muzaffarpur
Placements: The placement and job opportunities are definitely well at MIT Muzaffarpur. In fact, it's best when compared to other colleges in Bihar. You've to be in final year of graduation to participate in the placement drive. Top Recruiters are TCS, Yukinova, Infosys, Academor, Hi-Tech Next, Shriram Finance, Teachnook, Neometrix, etc. Highest package offered is 9.6 LPA for IT Branch student as software developer and average package offered at MIT is 3.5 LPA which includes multiple job profiles. Percentage of student get placement each year is approximately 75-80% of respective branch in a session. I have been placed in 7 different companies and I am thinking to join anyone of the companies after my degree.
Infrastructure: I have opted hostel facilities. Hostel mess infrastructure was definitely good of boys and girls hostel and the services provided there was also well and disciplined. To apply for the hostel rooms, you've to fill the Google form shared at the time of admission in MIT. Amenities in the classroom are: smart board, light, fans, AC, computers, desk bench, table chair, window, gate, fire extinguishers.
Faculty: I have interest and knowledge of working of machines, so I decided to chose Mechanical Engineering as my branch. This course curriculum is definitely relevant and it makes the students ready for the industry. Faculties were well qualified, they were from IITs, NITs. They all have done their PHDs and selected through BPSC recruitment. Our term exams were on time and difficulty level was moderate as the things come in exam was from the notes and guidance of our faculties that made easier for us to write in the exam and get decent marks. You'll get more knowledge if you try to connect with faculties in positive way.
Other: I have to do Engineering from Govt college, so I got to know about this college under Bihar Govt and was excited to join in. There's a common exam namely JEE Mains. Counselling to different colleges and branches depends on the score of JEE Mains. Once you cross the cutoff of JEE Mains, you're eligible to apply for BCECE Engineering counselling processes to get admission in Bihar English colleges. You've to prepare PHYSICS, CHEMISTRY, MATHS well to compete in the examination. My life at MIT MUZAFFARPUR campus was amazing and memorable. Friends were so entertaining and helpful in nature. I am really blessed to study my B.Tech. there. In MIT, there are multiple fests organized periodically at college level and at Inter-college level. Tech MITi- Annual Tech Fest of MIT which generally held in the month of April-May. UMANG- Annual Sports Meet. Fiesta- Annual Arts & Cultural Meet. These are the inter-college level events which is organized at MIT in which different colleges take participation in the event. There are more than 5000+ books in library from different branches. Social Group of MIT is Prakriti club which is dedicated to nature of MIT campus and surrounding and it also offers Yoga classes periodically. There are multiple clubs in MIT such as IT working Group, Sports Club, Moxie-Technical Club, Junoon-Arts cultural club.

One of the best colleges in Bihar.
Placements: Due to the Civil Engineering branch, a lower number of students get placed as compared to other branches like IT, ECE, Mechanical, and Electrical. Many companies—Wipro, TCS, HCL, ACCENTURE, etc.—are visiting. The highest package is 29 lacs per year. The lowest 2.6 LPA. The average is 3.6 LPA. Internship opportunities are also available, which many companies offer. And college provides NOC Certificate for leave one month.
Infrastructure: Building infrastructure is quite old. But the main building of the college is good. All the labs present and the lab operator were the best. Free Wi-Fi is available on campus, a library is present, and all books are available. And a separate library for study. There are 7 hostels in M.I.T., providing 4 B.Ed. in a room, and for 3rd and 4th year students, providing a separate single room. Hostel food is good but the charge for food is high, at $3500 per month. For sports like cricket, football, volleyball, and badminton, the playground is big.
Faculty: The Ratio of students to faculty members are high. All faculty members are well qualified; the majority of them have done M.Tech from IIT/NIT; Few of them have done Ph.D. All faculty members are friendly with students and helpful in nature. semester examination happens timely, fairly, and smoothly. Passing percentage is 80% in semester.
Other: I have chosen civil engineering because this college is best for the civil branch. It's name before was CIVIL ENGINEERING COLLEGE of MUZAFFARPUR. In this college for the Civil Engineering branch, faculty members are high in number. I would like to wish in the civil engineering branch that top companies visit to offer high numbers of students. Events for sports like Udgham happen every year, and many other engineering colleges participate. And every year, Techfest happens. And for the cultural festival, Junoon is here. Scholarships are provided through NSP or Bihar Scholarship. The overall environment of this college is the best, and all students were expected to learn something new.

Good college only for a degree.
Placements: Placement is very low in our college because very few companies visit our campus. Students should apply off-campus for placement. From the last pass-out batch in 2020, the highest package was 9 LPA and the lowest was 2.5 LPA. Companies like Wipro, Mantra, Cognitive, and some others that no one knows visit for recruitment. Only 20-30% of students get internships from IT, EE, Civil, ECE, and Mechanical branches. The main roles offered by companies are project engineer.
Infrastructure: The college is very old, so the infrastructure is outdated and not maintained properly. The lab is operational, and we do practicals there, but not all machines are working. For Information Technology, we have a separate building, where Wi-Fi is installed but not working, and the classrooms are also not clean. The hostel is good, but the quality of mess food is below average. There are no medical facilities in the college, so students have to go to the hospital themselves. Sports facilities are good because we have separate grounds for each sport like cricket, football, volleyball, and badminton.
Faculty: The faculty in our college is qualified and knowledgeable. The newly recruited teachers are good; they teach us very well and finish the syllabus on time. However, the curriculum is outdated and doesn't make us industry-ready. The semester exams are a little harder than those in other colleges. In every batch, 20-30% of students get back in some subjects.
Other: I chose this college because I didn't get the CSE branch in NIT, as there is more demand for IT engineers. I wish the curriculum would change like new IIITs, which focus on skills from the first year. Some fests like Techmiti, Fiesta, Umang, and others are held in our college, and the crowd is average.

Relatively dissatisfied because of less placements in 2023.
Placements: Till this date out of 42 students in my batch of same session as mine, only 3 students were able to secure placements. Although, I expect that more students will get placed as more the number of companies will visit. But, the placements are still very poor. What can you expect in less JEE Main rank? Last year, the highest package was around 50 LPA in Google. But that package was secured in off-campus mode. Companies like Alstom, Mantra, etc. Do visit our college. Generally, all students from my course got some internship in various companies but None of the internships paid students well enough. Top Roles offered in our course was SDE, Networking Engineer, Consulting Engineer, etc.
Infrastructure: Jionet Wi-Fi is available at whole campus 24x7 but the data that it offers is only 34 MB :- (. Labs are good but still lags behind many colleges. Classrooms are good and Library is there where you can borrow the book, study and return the book. I have passed through every hostel, and got a lessons that during the whole student life, you can't expect very good lifestyle. You get single room in the 3rd and 4th year. The quality of the food is below average. If you fall ill, there is no medical facilites in the college but there is a government hospital named SKMCH. The grounds are vast and have plenty of space with too much greenery around and fresh air.
Faculty: Yes the teachers are helpful. Most of the teachers are highly qualified and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is good. Yes, the course curriculum is pretty good. It makes the students industry ready. Although, some of the reforms must be made. The difficult of the semester exams is average. Nobody fails here, except only few great ones.
Other: I have chosen this course because I love computer Science. The best thing about my course is that you can never remain unemployed if you get skills. I will spend my most important working times in my life with the computer (my favourite thing). There are plenty of events that take place like TechMiti (Teach Fest), Umang, Udgam, etc. The campus crowd is good. The campus surrounding feels like a heaven. The post-matric scholarship of Rs. 10000 is provided by the Government of Bihar to the backward caste students. Also the student can opt for Bihar Student Credit Card Loan of Rs. 400000 to complete their studies.

Review of Muzaffarpur Institute of Technology.
Placements: Around 70-75% of students got placed in our college. The placement percentage of mechanical engineering is good. The highest salary package offered is 8 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 3.5 LPA. A few students got placed with a salary package of 35 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Alstom, HCL, Tech Mahindra, Sampoorna, EV Tech, Acadomaur, etc. You can easily get an internship and be ready for the job.
Infrastructure: The college is too old. This college was built in 1954. The main building has the main office, mechanical, and civil departments. It has a library. The other buildings have ECE, EE, and IT buildings. They provide a separate pharmacy, lab buildings, 2 labs with computer service, and one cafeteria. Our college has 6 hostels for boys. Our college has 1 hostel for girls. Some buildings are under construction. A huge workshop is available in our college. It has many old machines.
Faculty: Our college has many lab teachers and lab assistants. They provide separate HOD for every department. They are well-qualified and calibratable. Semester exams are difficult, but if you attend classes regularly and study properly, you can easily attempt the exams. Our seniors help us during exams.
Other: This course provides good knowledge but you will be confused after passing 1- 2 years. It has many things to do AutoCAD, coding, circuit analysis, etc.

Review of my college, Muzaffarpur Institute of Technology.
Placements: Only 10% of students were placed in our course. The highest package offered was 8.5 LPA. The lowest was 3.5 LPA. Only one company named Alstom came for on-campus hiring. Other students got hired through off-campus placement. There were no companies that provided internship opportunities. The top role offered was SDE.
Infrastructure: Faculty members are very cooperative and helpful in nature, always ready to help the students. There were labs, Wi-Fi on campus, and a and a library. The hostel buildings are not in such good condition that they require preparation. There is a field, and the campus is so spacious to play the games. There is also a canteen on campus.
Faculty: Faculty members are very helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. All the curriculum for this course was given and managed by AICTE. It does make the students industry-ready. The difficulty level of semester examinations is medium, and the passing percentage is the same as in all different engineering colleges.
Other: This course is very financially sustainable. There are so many clubs in college. A technical club named Moxie conducts a technical festival in which the students are from all over the state. Cultural clubs named Junoon conduct cultural festivals. Sports club named Udgam. Environment Club.
