Good infrastructure. Placements could be improved.

Placements: Placements were fine. Still college can keep a check on minimum pay scale offered by the recruiters. Almost everyone who SAT for placements got placed. The starting package was around 2.4 LPA and the highest grabbed was 5 LPA. College should be wise to welcome the companies that come for placements.

One of the best design institutes.

Placements: The college offers good placement prospects with an effective placement cell. Good brands come for college placement or you can select a job acc to your own interest. The placement percent is over 90% with the average package around 3.5-4 Lacs per annum. The highest goes around 6-7 Lacs.

Dissatisfied with the fashion design department.

Placements: For my batch placement starts from 25th of April in Delhi and then on 28th in Mumbai,2nd May in Bangalore. Placement for 2017 batch were worse. Few small companies came for recruitment with salary from 2.5-5.5 per annum. Even very few candidates were accepted. They were companies whuch could't do well in the business and were shut in few months. 50% got job through campus placement, 30% through off campus and rest haven't got any job yet. Companies like shirtstudio, styletag and some stylings c...

A review on National Institute of Fashion Technology, Bangalore.

Placements: The placements in our campus are good. Almost all the students get pre-placement offers from the companies they intern for in the final semester. But, if they don't get pre-placement, a lot of companies come to the campus for placement. Almost 90% of the students get jobs from campus placements.

Satisfied because of the course schedule. We can gain good knowledge from the faculty.

Placements: Many seniors are not placed. There are many placement opportunities due to the presence of many textile giants in Bangalore, but not all are placed. It depends on the individual's skill set. One thing is for sure that, the placements are good and the average salary package is more than expected too.

Great college with great opportunities.

Placements: The placements are fine. There is not much saturation in the industry. The industry is already filled with our alumni, and the companies will demand the students from the specialised backgrounds to work rather than hiring engineers. High profile companies hire the students. The packages are fine to start with.

It is one of the best colleges to study.

Placements: There are almost 100% placements. There were some issues during placement days, but eventually, most of my senior batchmates were placed in good companies with a minimum package of 5 LPA. The college assists in getting the internships as well in some reputed companies. The college placement cell helps you choose a good company of our choice, rather than being bombarded with random small companies.

Overall, satisfied with the college.

Placements: Two years ago, placements were good as compared to the previous year. This time, around 75% students got placement. The maximum package offered to the students was 20 LPA, where the minimum was 1.2 LPA. Three start-up companies were there to hire the students. More than 12 labels visit for placements. Many established designer's brands also come here to hire. There is startup support also, for those who want to start their own startups.

One of the best fashion colleges in the world.

Placements: The placements offered were pretty good. A lot of prestigious companies like Arvind Brands, Mathura Garments, PC Jewellery and all visiting with amazing offers. Almost 70% of the students got placed with good jobs. The salaries depended on the work of the student, it ranged from 3 lacs per annum to 8 lacs per annum. From the accessory design departments, the students got offers in areas like Visual merchandising, Jewellery design, Furniture design, UI/UX, etc. All the students were provided with...

NIFT is quite a good institute in many ways. Some of the professors are really amazing, while some are not good. The library and resource center are good. Learning is tremendous. And you get to explore a lot, open up a lot. The canteen is decent. By the time you graduate, you are more confident. One of the best parts is the Nescafe kiosk where you get snacks like Maggi and coffee the whole day.

Studying in NIFT had been one of my major goals as a teenager, however, my experience was far from what I had imagined it to be. The campus is indeed very well equipped with infrastructure, however, it just as important for a campus is backed by good faculty-- something which my department lacked. The teachers wore dead expressions no matter which time of the year. They appeared least interested in their students or enhancing their teaching abilities; being more than satisfied with the stabilit...

Am overview of life at NIFT Bangalore .

Placements: It's too early for me to comment on placements but talking to some college seniors has given me an overview. The placements starts after the 8th semester after the completion of graduation project. A good number of companies 8-10 come for the on campus placements and almost 70% students get recruited. Some students also get placed off campus through pre placement offers. The average package range between 6 Lacs-20 Lacs per annum. Students can apply for internships in any year but it's better to ...
