Review of Bachelor of design in knitwear from the NIFT Chennai.
Placements: At the NIFT Chennai, around 40–45% of the students get placements in our course. In our course, the average package offered was between 3 and 7 LPA. Various design and product design companies visits college for placements. top roles offered were fashion designer, product designer, brand designer, etc. Students also get internship opportunities at this college.
Infrastructure: NIFT Chennai has good-quality facilities and infrastructure for our course. Our college has all the necessary facilities for students. Wi-Fi, labs, library, canteen, sports, etc. were available for the students of the college. The college had pretty beautiful campus. Hostel facility were also given to the students. All the equipment was available for the students learning.

Master of Fashion Management (MFM) - Batch of 2023
1
1Placements1Infrastructure1Faculty1Crowd & Campus Life1Value for Money
Review of MFM course from NIFT, Chennai.
Placements: Most of the students had to find internships and job opportunities themselves. The college does not actively work towards finding a good opportunity for growth and practical learning for the students. The highest average package offered was 6.5 LPA. Most of the companies come for merchandising roles.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the course is very basic. It is something you can learn on the job. This course does not provide us with as much knowledge. The use of facilities is very weak and the teams are not well versed and up-to-date. They charge extra to give you the degree, even after having paid a hefty fee.
Faculty: The curriculum is poor and not up-to-date. The teachers are not aware of the current affair in depth. It does not help to specialize in any specific feed. The faculty didn't let the students leave before the end of college time, even when they didn't have classes. The faculty was not as understanding and was biased.
Other: I chose this course thinking that it would help me get better at my field and advance in my career but sadly, it didn't. I wish that the course was more advanced and helped me specialize in a specific field with more practical knowledge and industry visits.

A Honest review about NIFT Chennai.
Placements: Nift Chennai placement is good and salary also average about the highest is 600000 and the lowest is 200000 about 70 to 80 percentage of the students get placed in top companies. Usually in the campus interview the companies like noise, boast, reliance retail, Nike and more top companies being hire well we talk about the internship it is the one of the main in of our course and nift Chennai does not offers any internship but the students do their internship in the holidays after informing faculty members.
Infrastructure: The topic we talk about hostel it is one of the main thing in the nift Chennai the hostel looking very good and available in two types like AC and non AC and many facilities available there like Wi-Fi all over campus, library, sports, labs, medical facilities, design room and the quality of the food difeees according to the contracters the may change every year but don't worry about that they give quality food idli, briyani, sambar, roti.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful they were very knowledgeable and good teaching they also combined with us but they show partiality, semester are happen every 6 months the exam level was moderate the marks are deciding by the jury about 4 members the percentage about 60%. .
Other: I am very interested in design so I choose this course the nift Chennai is best for they have many facilities for design They usually held a fashion show and events are more happen and they held a sports league overall is good environment and good people and all are friendly to us.

B.Des. in Fashion Design - Batch of 2026
3.8
3Placements4Infrastructure3Faculty5Crowd & Campus Life4Value for Money
A college that has a great amount of talent and creativity .
Placements: The percentage of students placed is between 60 and 70 percent. The highest package goes up to INR 600000 per year, and the lowest is around INR 200000 per year. The top recruiting companies are local business houses in Chennai itself. 80 percent of students got internships. The top roles offered in the course are associate designer, assistant designer, and fashion stylist.
Infrastructure: The campus as such is great. The design itself is super cool, and the facilities provided are great, like air conditioning in all labs. The Wi-Fi is decently good, and the library is packed with great books. The hostel is one of its best parts. It is amazing, super clean, and the food provided is not up to the mark, but it is still manageable, and it is really safe too; there is a nurse available 24/7. We also have a basketball court, a football field, a gym, and an indoor badminton court.
Faculty: The teachers are very well qualified and have great methods of teaching. I personally feel that some changes could be made to the curriculum, but the way of teaching definitely shapes the students in the right manner. Nift does not have examinations, but it has juries, which involves a lot of work to be done. The pass percentage is 50 percent.
Other: I chose this course because of my great interest in fashion. The best thing about this course is that it has amazing exposure. The things that could be better are the amount of workload on the students so that they can do better work. We have amazing festivals like Spectrum and many other celebrations throughout the year.

I'm satisfied with our college.
Placements: Around 3 seniors from our college got placement for 25 LPA recently. That means B.FTech specifically has good placements at NIFT. Some of the other department seniors got placed at good companies in Noida and Delhi. Internships in our college are also great, and they are according to your grades and skills. Try gaining extra skills too.
Infrastructure: I love our hostel, it's perfectly maintained and has great food with transportation as well. The staff are caring and the wardens are also very responsible. The campus is also very well maintained, and everything is very aesthetic. You can look at your college from a different angle every day.
Faculty: Teachers in our college have helped throughout the year. No matter what the question is, they're ready to answer a million times. Our course curriculum is not only relevant but also helps you gain a lot of skills. Our college not only teaches you the curriculum but also life skills, which makes you a better person overall.
Other: I chose this course as I have an equal interest in fashion and technology, and this field is a perfect match for the same. Recently we had an interdepartmental fest which was organised on a good scale. You will find a no-judgement crowd in our college, from teachers to helpers.

4Placements4Infrastructure3Faculty4Crowd & Campus Life2Value for Money
The pros and cons of NIFT Chennai.
Placements: Placement is fairly good. Almost 90% in accessory design. It depends on the student's caliber and portfolio rather than grades. Some of the courses struggle in placements but a good portfolio really helps. Companies are not very high paying initially. Maximum average packages are around 4.5 to 5 LPA.
Infrastructure: The building's structure is really beautiful, campus is small and cosy. The new girls' hostel is nice. The old hostel within the campus is pretty bad. Labs are nicely equipped. Hostel food is nutritional but tasteless. North Indians might not like the food. Nonveg is scarce. Washrooms are not very nicely maintained.
Faculty: Teachers are biased, there is a north India, south India stigma and partiality. Teachers are moody and judgemental. Innovations and ideas are not encouraged in front of aesthetics. It can be disappointing at times bit the college experience is great.
Other: Campus and students are really great and you wouldn't ever feel out of place. The vibe and environment is super which makes up for judgemental faculty members.
