The NIFT 2024 General Ability Test (GAT) for the B. Des is conducted as a LAN-based, CBT exam. The exam is conducted in a centre-based mode and is bi-lingual. The duration of the exam is 120 minutes. The candidates will have to attempt 100 multiple-choice questions, which will be asked from sections like Communication Ability, English Comprehension, Quantitative Ability, Analytical Ability, and GK and Current Affairs. The GAT paper will be conducted first, followed by the Creative Ability Test (CAT). Candidates will be shortlisted for a Personal Interview (2nd stage) based on their performance in the written exams (CAT and GAT).

Yes, the National Institute of Fashion Technology will allow candidates with late fees. The late fee application window will open once the deadline to fill out the NIFT 2024 application form with regular fee closes. The start and last date to fill out the NIFT 2024 application form with late fee will be notified by the institute before the regular application form closes or sometime thereabout. The late fee for NIFT 2024 will be INR 5,000. The late fee has to be paid in addition to the application fee, which is INR 3000 for open category candidates.

Candidates applying for NIFT Delhi must visit the official website of NIFT to register for the entrance test. NIFT Delhi BDes admission is based on candidates' performance in the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) entrance exam comprising of a Creative Ability Test (CAT) and General Ability Test (GAT). Shortlisted candidates on the basis of CAT/ GAT test scores are then required to appear for the Situation Test, conducted by NIFT for BDes admission.

Candidates seeking admission to the BDes programmes of NIFT Delhi must meet the course-specific eligibility requirements. The aspirants who are Class 12 pass from any recognised central or state, such as CBSE/State Board New Delhi/Council for Indian School of Certificate Examination, New Delhi are eligible to apply. Additionally, the candidates with a passing grade in the Senior Secondary School examination conducted by the National Open School with a minimum of five subjects are also eligible to apply for BDes at NIFT Delhi. Aspirants must hold the relevant documents. These are required for verification purposes. 

For NIFT Delhi B.Des admission, candidates must have passed Class 12 from any recognised Central/State Board of Secondary Examination, such as Central Board of Secondary Education/ State Board New Delhi/ Council for Indian School of Certificate Examination, New Delhi. A passing grade in the Senior Secondary School examination conducted by the National Open School with a minimum of five subjects is also eligible to apply for the National Institute of Fashion Technology Delhi. 

The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) Delhi admits students to various undergraduate and postgraduate courses based on their NIFT entrance exam scores. As per the NIFT Delhi cutoff 2023, the last round closing rank for the Bachelor of Design (B.Des) programme ranged from 72 to 1639 for General All India category students. Among all the specializations, B.Des. in Fashion Communication was the most competitive, with the last round closing rank being the highest. Therefore, candidates aspiring to study B.Des at NIFT Delhi should aim to secure a rank between 70 and 1650 for the General category under the All India quota.
