For MDes admission, a candidate should have passed a bachelor's degree programme from a recognised university in the relevant stream. Aspirant should hold the degree and mark sheets as well. To apply for the National Institute of Fashion Technology Delhi M.Des course, candidates must visit the official website of NIFT to register themselves. NIFT Delhi MDes admission is based on an entrance test comprising of a Creative Ability Test (CAT) and a General Ability Test (GAT). Shortlisted candidates on the basis of CAT/ GAT test scores are then required to appear for a Personal Interview round, conducted by NIFT.

NIFT Delhi offers a two-year full-time MDes course at the postgraduate level. NIFT Delhi cutoff 2024 has been released up to Round 5 wherein the closing rank for the MDes course stood at 25 for the General category students under the All India quota. So, candidates seeking admission to NIFT Delhi this year must secure a rank up to 25 to be eligible for MDes course.

The NIFT 2025 admission cycle will begin with the release of the NIFT exam schedule. Hence, aspirants must know the NIFT entrance exam dates. Considering the past year's dates, the application window for the entrance examination is expected to open in November and close by December month. Additionally, the NIFT Entrance Exam is expected to be conducted in the first week of February.

NIFT entrance examination is Institutional based examination which will only help you to get into NIFT whereas UCEED is a common Entrance Examination which is accepted by many design colleges and universities. So if you plan to get into only NIFT then you do have to give NIFT Entrance Exam but if you plan to apply in many universities then UCEED is a better option as you'll have many university choices and you can get admission on the basis of UCEED score.

Yes, NIFT Delhi offers a two-year long MDes programme. The PG-level course is offered in a full-time mode. For admission to MDes at NIFT Delhi, the aspirants need to take the NIFT entrance exam.
