Come here for your interest and not for the brand name of NIFT.

Placements: Every year, the placements of the college are declining. The students are forced to attend the recruitment process of the companies which offer lower salary packages of Rs. 2 lakhs to Rs. 3 lakhs. These packages are very less as compared to the subsequent previous year packages. The fee is rapidly increasing by 10 percent every year which tells that it is not a good course to opt as you have to pay more fees. The scholarships are also very less for the institution as most of them are given to ot...

Not a good choice to opt career. Don't go for the brand, go for your interest and skills.

Placements: Earlier the placements were good at decent packages. But the scenario, has been changed. The students are not getting decent packages, and students have to attend for the salary packages of 2-3 lakhs per annum also. Then also all the students are not getting campus placements. Only 10-15 students are getting campus placements.

Overall collage is really good if you have enough money for extra expenditures.

Placements: The placements are pretty good. Probably all major fashion brands/companies (like Raymond's, Sitaram, Jinny and Zohnhy, Addidas etc., visited the campus and also many export houses with a very good package. NIFT gives almost 99% of the placements. Also some students got pre-placement offer from the company in which they have done their project-work. The lowest package was 30,000 per months whereas some students got 3 lakhs/month in Bangladesh. The students got about 10-15 thousand rupees during ...

The best college for fashion in India.

Placements: Placements are quite good. The average package revolves around 4 to 5 lakhs per annum. In 2016, two of the students got placed at a great package of 24 lakhs per annum in Dhaka. Top companies like Spyker, Reliance, etc visit the campus. There are many foreign companies from Dhaka and Bahrain who visit the campus for placements. Almost 40-50% students got the internship from the college while others who have the choice to look for internships on their own.

The best fashion college in India.

Placements: The placement percent is 70-90% and companies offer moderate to high salary packages. Well-known companies from apparel, export houses, and e-commerce companies visit for recruitment. Internship opportunities are wide only if you have contacts of your seniors, any company person, or mentors.

Not satisfied with placements of 2017.

Placements: The previous year, seniors got placed well with an average package of about 4.5 lacs and many were offered PPO with highest of about 24 lac in Bangladesh. This year, the placements' condition was very bad. Students had to invest an average of about 13-15 lacs on their study and they were hardly given 4 lacs as a package this year. The highest package was 6 lac only while the lowest was around 2 lacs only. The placements are getting degraded year by year.

Good infrastructure but dissatisfied with the placements.

Placements: Placements are not great. From my batch, only 10% students were placed. The highest salary offered was 6 LPA and the lowest salary offered was 1.8 LPA. All design and forecast related companies recruited the students. Designer, merchandiser, and buyer were the positions offered. Internship was not provided by the college. Stipend - Nothing to Rs. 5000.

What a fashion school looks like?

Placements: The placements are good. A lot of companies from fashion industry as well as the film industry, visit for placement. 12 lakhs per annum was the highest package offered and 2 lakhs per annum was the lowest. Brands like Lifestyle, Chemistry, Arvind Mills, Being Human, etc. came for recruitment. Everyone got an internship in the 3rd year since it is compulsory. The stipend offered was a maximum of 12k per month. Some students did not get a stipend.

Very intensive course, thus keeping students on their toes at all times. the infrastructure is decent and the professors are good too. The classes are interactive with state of the art technology used in all laboratories. Placement pay package isn't too great but has recruiters from quite a few leading fashion houses/brands in India.

NIFT provides all its students a completely different educational experience. The infrastructure of the college motivates you and triggers your creativity. A very environment- friendly college with a very peaceful atmosphere. Also, it is near to the railway station which makes it even more convenient. The faculty members are helpful and supportive as well. A student would come out of NIFT as a professional and career oriented personality. NIFT provides an opportunity to build, groom and mould y...

Not satisfied with the faculty, but great campus life.

Placements: It is not so good. It ranges from 6-8 Lacs per annum; it is the average of NIFT Mumbai Bachelor's in Fashion Technology. The highest can go up to 15 Lacs. Roles offered are in management, production, and technology. It is good if you get into the top campuses of NIFT.

Good enough for me to survive.

Placements: Quite satisfactory. Average package around 4.5 lacs. Most of them were placed straight away from college. Senior batch got posted in very reputed companies all over the country. Some got their jobs in the companies they interned with and got salary around 5 lacs.

Good facilities but not the best option to go for.

Placements: No good placements for our course. B.FTech people have more job opportunities but that requires a mathematics background. Try opting for B.FTech or fashion communication or doing a masters from nift is a good option. Average packages go upto 6-8 Lacs per annum.

Satisfied with my college life except the fact that some things need improvement.

Placements: Not many were placed through college since the placements were not upto the mark last year. But people who did get placed, got satisfying jobs. The salary offered were starting from 20 k and went up to 50-60k. But the average salary offered was 25-30k. Lifestyle, westside, and small scale design houses offered jobs to the graduates.
