Review of NIT Uttarakhand.

Placements: There are no placements offered for mechanical engineering except those students who have knowledge of coding. The highest salary package offered current year was 8 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered was 4.8 LPA. The top recruiting company of our college was L&T. The role offered was mainly as executive officers. In the case of internships, if you have your own arrangements, only then you will be able to get an internship. Otherwise, there is no chance.

Review of NIT Uttarakhand - National Institute of Technology.

Placements: Placements here are good. Some students get very good salary packages from companies like BPCL, Wipro, IBM, Samsung R&D, Infosys, L&T, Capgemini etc. BPCL offered a salary package of 14 LPA for 5 students and a student from the CSE department got a PPO of salary package more than 28 LPA. If you are a CSE student, you get good offers else you need to be hardworking.

The highest salary for my EEE department on campus is 10 lakhs per annum varying to an average of 8 Lacs per annum. Mass recruitments by Capgemini and L&T happened. NIT Uttarakhand - pros and cons of being a student of this college.

Placements: I don't have much knowledge but not many were placed from our branch in our college. A handful of students went for internships from our branch although they didn't work in core civil engineering. One or two company is coming to offer internship to us as till now, and statistics can be changed anytime regarding the issue of recruiters coming to recruit, which generally decreases till the end of year.

Life of a civil engineer at NIT Uttarakhand.

Placements: I am a third year student and although there is not much placement record from our branch we have seen a slight increase in the companies that are promising to offer internship. Our main recruiter is L&T that offers around 5-6 Lacs CTC. Last year we did not see much placements or internship from our branch, most of them was from computer Science branch.

Students and faculty members are promising although the college has drowned due to local politics.

Placements: I am currently a third year student. Last year our college was shifted from Srinagar (garhwal) to Jaipur and that has offered us immense opportunities in terms of exposure and experience. My seniors are getting good placements due to a significant rise in recruiting companies especially for computer Science trait. Some of them were even placed in research internships in foreign universities. Majority recruiter in our course is capegemini although a few new comes every year or sometimes it doesn'...

Placements are not decent. Infrastructure is poor and faculty is also not good.

Placements: Placements in our college are not very good. Most of the companies that visit the campus are related to computer science. Other than that, most of the mechanical, electrical, electronics and civil engineer students are usually unplaced. Generally most of the computer science engineer students get an average salary package of 5 LPA. The average salary package offered on the campus is 3 LPA.

Total disaster because of faculty campus and location.

Placements: No placement as the location of the college is the worst and is in temporary campus. Companies are very rare especially for electrical and mechanical branches. Students have to fight for the internship programmes as college provides no help in it. The placement cell is the worst and that is because of the location they can't do anything.

The college has average faculty, facilities, infrastructure and placements.

Placements: I passed out from college in 2017. Before 2017, placements in college were not much good. Only 35 out of 220 students were placed. However, a proper placement cell was launched after that to arrange placement drives of various reputed organisations. It also focused on preparing students for placements. During 2017, companies like Wipro, Infosys, IBM, TCS, Capgemini, etc., conducted placement drives in the college. Almost 120 out of 220 students were placed. Mostly, computer science and electroni...

If you are comparing this college with other NITs, then don't choose this college.

Placements: Placements in college are not very good. However, they are better than any private college if you have the required skills. If you are a CSE student, you would get ample job opportunities. Else you need to be hardworking and hope for a bit of luck. Being located in such a remote location, NITUK provides a platform for students by collaborating with the leading institutes and organisations for providing internships and training programs for students. Only 6 students out of 52 students got placed ...

I am dissatisfied with our college because it lacks facilities like food, medical, etc.

Placements: Placements somewhat depend on the location of the college. Companies don't want to visit here and conduct pool drives, and students have to go to companies to attend drives. Placements for our upcoming batches are increased compared to our from seniors. A few got students internships from our college. There is a placement cell in our college.

Review of NIT Uttarakhand - National Institute of Technology.

Placements: Placements are mediocre, with the highest salary package being 8-10 LPA, and the lowest salary package being 3.5-4 LPA. Companies are mainly of the IT sector, providing a minimum scope for the students of other branches. Companies like L&T Construction often visit our college and hire students of the civil department, that too, only boys. The T&P cell needs to work more on its policies regarding placements. The placement rate of CSE and ECE branches is up to 85%, as they have a strong background...
