As per the IIIT Allahabad cutoff 2023, the Last Round closing rank for BTech ranged between 5924 and 9558, among which Information Technology was the most competitive specialisation. NIT Uttarakhand offers a four-year BTech, and a two-year MTech programme at the UG and PG levels, respectively. The programmes are offered in five specialisations: Civil Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Electronic & Communication Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering. For admission to its BTech programme, NIT Uttarakhand accepts JEE Main scores, whereas for admission to its MTech programme, the institute accepts GATE scores. NIT Uttarakhand accepts GATE/ NET/ SET scores, for admission to its PhD programme. The candidates must fill out the application form available on the institute's official website to apply for these programmes. 

In order to get admission to NIT Uttarakhand M.Tech course, students are required to take GATE. After GATE exam, they must appear for the CCMT counselling. It is a centralised counselling process conducted to allocate M.Tech seats. The regsitration fee for INR 3,500 for GEN/GEN-EWS/OBC and INR 3,000 for SC/ST/PwD.
