NIFT Delhi Highlights 2025
National Institute of Fashion Technology Delhi (commonly known as NIFT Delhi) was established in 1986. It is a public institute located in Hauz Khas, Delhi. Initially, the institute offered only one Fashion Design course from a temporary, two-room set-up. In 1994, NIFT Delhi shifted to its permanent campus, which was designed by Dr BV Doshi. NIFT was set up under the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India, and is a Statutory Institute Governed by the NIFT Act 2006. Currently, it has 18 campuses spread across the country, namely NIFT Chennai, NIFT Bengaluru, NIFT Patna, NIFT Gandhinagar, NIFT Hyderabad and NIFT Kolkata, among others.
The institute offers UG, PG, and Diploma programmes in the stream of Fashion Design. NIFT Delhi courses include BDes, BFTech (Bachelor of Fashion Technology), MDes, and MFM (Master of Fashion Management), among others. National Institute of Fashion Technology Delhi course admissions are based on the entrance exam scores.
