It is the best college for designing courses.

Placements: You will definitely get a job after being graduated from NIFT, and your portfolio and skills matters. NIFT is a brand, and being a student of this college helps a lot in getting placed, unlike other designing colleges, which you pay a hefty amount for, but you hardly get a job.

Review of NiFT kangra and it's life.

Placements: A lot of companies approach NIFT. But the placement camps are set in metropolitan areas that's why, students from other campuses have to go to the campuses in metro cities for that. The placements are given on the basis of merits and not campus, so the good portfolios win.

It is a great college with good placement opportunities. It is located in a beautiful place.

Placements: Placements in our college are decent. For our seniors, the placements were good. The average salary package offered was around 4 LPA, the lowest salary package offered was 3 LPA, and the highest salary package offered was around 7-8 LPA. Placements are held in Delhi NCR area. Initially, the salary offered is low, but if you have experience of more than two years, you will surely bag a good salary package.

My college was an amazing experience of my life. I will do it again if I get a chance.

Placements: There weren't any good companies at our campus for placements. But, the off-campus demand is pretty good. You will get the job no matter how and where. Almost everywhere, we can see something creative these days, and where there is creativity, there is a new idea. To do that job, people need students/guys like us (design graduates). They are ready to pay you a good amount of money. You just have to prove your worth to them.

Awesome life in NIFT with best teachers, best surrounding. I miss that place.

Placements: There is a transparent placement system. It is common for all students. We need to apply online on the college portal for choosing the companies which the students want to be interviewed by. The minimum package is 3 LPA, and the maximum is 7-8 LPA. Once you have 2 years of work experience, you will keep on gaining high packages. In textile and garments, it's the practical job experience that enables you to grow to heights. Start with less salary, but you definitely will be at the best in 2 years...

This college provides a once in a lifetime career.

Placements: Almost everyone gets the placement. The packages being offered are good for a starter. My stream offers various opportunities including the foreign exposures. Rs. 3.6 lakhs it the minimum package offered. We get placed in good cities. The work environment is healthy as compared to the other industries.

Dissatisfied because of the infrastructure and placements.

Placements: We do not have placements in Kangra itself. The placements are held in Delhi, so it is really difficult to travel from Himachal to Delhi for the people. Also, the preference is given to Delhi students. The roles offered are of industrial engineers and merchandisers.

It is a good campus with very supporting and good teachers and staff members.

Placements: Most of the times, students are judged on the basis of their portfolios and personal creativity and after that marks. Our seniors got very good placements. Some of them are working with renowned fashion designers like Sabyasachi. It all depends on our personal calibre.

The college still has a very long way to go. Being only a few batches old, it is yet to establish a solid campus culture. Also, the infrastructure being built at a slow rate hampers education for students a lot. Further, Kangra as a city doesn't provide a very good environment for fashion education. The good side is that there is McLeod Ganj close by which can serve as a great place to inspire designers, and also add something different to their portfolios (eg. Landscape and fashion photography ...

Good college overall but teaching and curriculum not up to the mark

Placements: For the year 2023, 85% of the students got placed with an average salary package of 6.5LPA. Fashion communication and textile design are the courses said to be best in nift kangra. It is diffult to find internships and job opportunities nearby kangra.

I love my college. Everything is perfect just need some improvements in infrastructure.

Placements: Our college students are placed in good companies. In the beginning they might face a little problem with placements but eventually they are placed at better places. The packages start from INR 3.5 lacs in the beginning as goes on as per the students work. I don't have any knowledge about the companies. About 80% of the students get the internship on the basis of their work. My field consist of print designer, interior designer, etc.
