NISER is the glory of the nation.

Placements: This college mainly focuses on your knowledge growth. As a result, a maximum number of the students get their placement in the research works. The placements may be in India. Even it is also possible that you may get a job abroad. The minimum scope is to be a college professor.

Really good facilities and worth the money.

Placements: Here, in NISER, we don't have official placements. The students choose to appear for exams like GATE (For Ph. D. positions in institutes inside India), NET (For junior research fellow post or assistant professor posts in institutes inside India), GRE (for admissions into institutes abroad, especially the United States) for admissions into institutes inside or outside India. The students are usually offered Ph.D., JRF, research scholar positions in these institutes. They are offered merit-based s...

The only thing good about the college is the funding. Since, it was funded from the DAE so we had a lot of resources in the Institute. Other than that, there is no placement cell at all. People can apply for Ph.D but can't think about getting a job. For getting a Ph.D position also, you only have to do everything. Course structure is unorganized and not useful in applying for the company.

It is a good college for science.

Placements: In most cases, PhD is the best choice after M.Sc course. There are no placement cells in our college as its main focus is on research and not on jobs. Top-class teachers are available here, and the quality of education provided is very high. Mostly, you will get a recommendation from your teachers, and you will have a high possibility to get admission in foreign institutes. Many students even opt for civil service exams or try to become research scholars. BARC hires students from here directly t...

My life at NISER the ups and downs.

Placements: We usually go for a Ph.D. degree instead of jobs. We don't have a placement cell as such. The pay during Ph.D. is 25000 + HRA in India and around 2000 Euro outside India. Students at NISER have an advantage in research experience. Most of the students usually get an internship at reputed research institute both inside India and outside.
