Excellent infrastructure facilities and canteens. Few faculty are not good.

Placements: Placements of this college for mechanical engineering are good, but there is less scope of placements for civil engineering at this college. Around 70% students placed in mechanical engineering this year. The highest package for mechanical students was 10 LPA, and the lowest was 3 LPA. On an average, it is about 5.8 LPA to 6.4 LPA for mechanical branch. A good amount of students got the internship. One of our seniors is currently doing the internship in IIT Bombay, and one person is doing intern...

Every thing about NIT-Agartala.

Placements: There were only very few placements of the core companies. There were enough IT company placements, but fewer people were selected because no java and data structure and algorithms courses were not there in the curriculum. These courses are growing very fast, so such training must be taken by yourself. The college will not give a very good help in the placement, but many companies come, and placement can be only taken by means of yourself.

The college is going to be the best in future.

Placements: Around 90% of the students got placed in our batch. Our senior batch had fewer placements with an average of 70%. The highest salary offered was 13 lacs per annum, the lowest salary was 3 lacs per annum, and the average salary was 5 lacs per annum. The major companies that visited college were BPCL, OICL, Johnsons & Johnsons, Vedanta, Mindtree, Infosys, IBM, Wipro, etc.

Above average but not exceptional.

Placements: Internships are not really that great because there are almost no private companies in this region, But there is a good number of core companies (PSUs) like ONGC, GAIL, NPCL, etc. Coming to placements, 2 years ago, we had placements at around 80% but not too good in the consecutive years. But the good thing is that the issue is not the lack of jobs but the unavailability of good students as most of the companies go back with maximum seats vacant. So if you are good, you always have a chance. ...

Apart from this, many PSUs like IOCL, BPCL, Brahmos has visited NIT Agartala. The highest package was by BPCL i.e. 14 LPA. The placement is going good but the faculty student relationship can be improved.

Placements: The placements in the IT sector is the main form of placement, though core branches like civil have placement in regularly visiting companies like L&T but they take limited students and mainly, the top 10 in the branch. It is a good place to be for a CSE or ECE student as companies like BookMyShow and Oracle are visiting the campus with placement offers of up to 9 LPA. The placement policy of the college is that any student can have at maximum 3 jobs from the campus placements, one job in each ...

Quite a good college. If you are coming to North-East, definitely give it a shot.

Placements: Placements have been growing at a steady rate in our college from the last few years. Although, when it comes to the core branches like mechanical/civil and others, the placement scenario (compared to the large no. of students enrolled in those streams) isn't really that applauding. Coming to companies that focusses on IT and all, the condition is quite good. Talking of this year, 6 seniors from my branch have got placed in Oracle with a package of 9 LPA, and then many others went on to companie...

The infrastucture is developing day by day. Recently a supercomputer has been installed in the central library for advanced computing and solving higher problems. Different branches have their separate computer lab, workshops laboratories and esteemed faculty members. But on the negative side politics within the administrat...

When I had joined this college, it was an emerging college but right now it has been well established reputed college of India. This college is the good choice for pursuing engineering B. Tech or M. Approximately everyone in these three branches are placed. Faculty are not that much good, so you have to study on your own. Internet facility is good.

Well, the good things about the college is its growing really fast, its placements are getting better and better and so its infrastructure. But, there is a serious lack in the quality of faculty. There are some really good professors in college but they are just not enough. The college is in northeast, so lacks betters connectivity with the rest of India. The college atmosphere is very ambient and are basic amenities are catered. And, finally, the college mess is very poor.

NIT Silchar is considered to be its main competitor but its better than NIT Silchar A lot of people consider North East as unsafe but Agartala is a safe place, people are friendly NIT Agartala( Formerly Tripura Engineering College) is an old and established college and has a good base of alumni Its better than a lot of NIT's and is considered in top 50 engineering colleges of India.
